We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Misty Haven. What a wonderful location and a very interesting and beautiful house. As with all rentals, there were a few glitches (a coffee maker that required a little creative support to brew a full pot) but all in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to others. Ian was a gracious and friendly host and the property was perfect for our needs. Our dog loved it as well.

We loved staying in the main house. The wood burning fireplace is great, makes for cozy relaxing evenings. The property is beautiful with large Arbutus trees and rolling hills. The main house is very family friendly. My toddler loved the 2nd bedroom full of kids books and a special play zone above the bed. Our only issue was when we went to check out, the outdoor garbage was full and we couldn't find additional garbage bags. We would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing location, absolutely beautiful scenery and wildlife, very serene and peaceful deck with seating area, BBQ and hot tub. Very easy check-in / check-out process with helpful host, would definitely stay here again!

The property is spacious, has a lovely view and is close to several beautiful walks (Elk Lake, Thetis Lake). It’s also close to a grocery store and fabulous sandwich shop called Mosi. The property was as nice as advertised and the hot tub was a real treat! As noted by other guests there aren’t a lot of pots and pans and a few more spoons would be nice. We knew this from other guests so were prepared. Another nice feature is the separate dining room, which is rare in my experience. We had some family members who live close by join us for Thanksgiving dinner (they also leant us a few casserole dishes). We all loved being able to gather around a big harvest table for a special dinner. Many thanks for a memorable stay!

Perfect getaway

We spent Mothers day weekend here and had a lovely time. The house grounds are beautiful and quiet. The house is as advertised and comfortable. We would easily recommend!

Private that was nice and rural, the space was clean, the host was lovely to work with, yard was safe for our dogs, location was a great starting point for any day Adventures. The bed was comfortable.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing family vacation

Peaceful lodging in a natural setting; we enjoyed morning walks to Elk Lake and lots of day trips around Victoria. Ian was helpful and responsive to requests. We would absolutely return if given the opportunity!

Great Family Cabin

The cabin was absolutely stunning! Beautiful way to experience the island! The host Ian met us there when we arrived and showed us ariund the place and was very friendly and helpful! There was plenty of space and everything was clean. Great location! Cannot recommend the place enough!

Perfect nature retreat to get away from it all.

Amazing property nestled in nature. Lots of room for the family and to kick back and relax and enjoy the beautiful natural setting. Only 15mins from the ferry or from Downtown Victoria though. Only regret is that we didn’t book for longer but will definitely be coming back again.

Lovely property and back deck!

We had a wonderful weekend at this property. The property managers were attentive to additional needs. The kitchen could use some more accessories, as we cooked elaborate meals during our stays. However the private nature of property was greatly appreciated. Lovely spot to catch up with family!

Quiet location. Pet friendly. King bed mattress firm but comfortable. Bedroom with double bed is small and one side of the bed up against a wall… difficult to get out of bed in the middle of the night if shared with someone else. Stairs to loft with trundle bed very steep . Dining and living areas lovely. Great location.

Our stay at this property was truly relaxing and inspiring! The thoughtfully placed artwork throughout the home, with its architecturally designed feel, added a unique charm. Magical

We were expecting Misty Haven to be lovely, but it was so much better than expected. The photos don't do justice to how special this place is. The house is beautiful, spacious and elegantly furnished. The forest gardens are delightful, and during our stay, covered in woodland wild flowers. Sitting in the hot tub, while stargazing and listening to a chorus of frogs will remain a life long memory. To top it all, Ian, the host, was so accommodating and kind. We had car trouble and he went far out of his way to help us out. Thank you, Ian.
