This 1,455 sqf Homestead Hideaway has tons of country farmhouse charm. 3 bedrooms each w/ closet space, spacious bathroom featuring a double vanity sink, freshly refinished original hardwood floors from 1922. WiFi, August locks (keyless entry), security cameras, dazzling natural lighting atop your in-kitchen breakfast nook during a gorgeous sunrise. Cozy living room perfect for snuggling up to read a book, or watching your favorite show!

The space
This home boasts a large living area and spacious bathroom to suit a large number of guests. Plenty of kitchen storage to prepare big meals or have an intimate meal in the nook while looking over the back yard.

Last weekend we had 3 adult women and a 9 month old baby and stayed from Friday night until Sunday Morning. We noticed Friday night that there was no hot water at the sink. We tried to take showers in the morning and had no hot water. Notified the owner and he said he would check it out. Came home from the zoo and he had to replace the hot water tank. He left and came back later and water was shut off for hours. Finally came back on a little after 10PM that night (after we were already in bed) and hot water would be on about 20 minutes later. Owner said he would refund us for one night since none of us were able to shower until Sunday Morning (the morning we were leaving). I’ve contacted the owner a couple of times but he is not responding. Still have not received any refund. We also only had about a half a roll of toilet paper and half a roll of paper towels. There was also no kitchen towel. We had to use a bath towel to dry the dishes. I understand things break and need fixed, but we had 3 adult women and a 9 Month old baby in that couldn’t shower/bath for 2 days. We would have appreciated a response from the owner and a refund.

The neighborhood was quiet but in a central location close to restaurants, gas stations, etc. The house was very nice with an updated bathroom. It was unique and charming with antique details preserved. It was very hot in Toledo when we were there and the AC struggled a bit to cool the hallway and bathroom. The owner supplied a box fan that helped and the rest of the home stayed cool. There were ceiling fans in every room and remote controls for them and the lights. We had a plumbing issue that was addressed immediately and the owner took care to do repairs when we were out, as not to disturb us. The front porch was quaint and enjoyable on the summer nights. The back yard had seating and a grill and was fenced in. We really enjoyed staying there and hope to do so again next year. I will note the refrigerator was small but it was not an inconvenience. If you plan on cooking, you may want to bring some mixing bowls, but the kitchen supplies were otherwise well stocked.

Very clean. Quiet neighborhood.

Very clean. Driveway parking. Roomy. Not fond of the automatic lights that flip brightly on when slightly triggered. Also not fond of the outrageous cleaning fee for one night. Pleased with comfortable beds.

Comfortable Enough

This home is very nice, very spacious, and in a neighborhood I lived in for years so I was quite comfortable with the location. Just a few things kept this stay from being perfect. I could never gain access through the front door from the outside. The code just never worked. Thankfully, there was a rear entrance and I easily got in that way. There were no bowls, for cereal, soup etc., in the kitchen, only plates. That created a problem as I had planned and brought breakfast and was unable to enjoy that. The dishwasher had dirty dishes left in it and there was no dishwasher detergent in the place that I could find, so I assume that is why the previous guest left the dirties. I just hand washed them all. Also, the only coffee pot in the place was a Keurig, and there was only one option (flavor caramel) of pods. I had brought my own coffee (drip) but there wasn't a way to use it. Finally, the automatic lights are nice, but annoying at night when they would just go on and off randomly. I never figured out why this would happen. Again, these were just MINOR discomforts and I would stay here again, I would just bring more with me.

Quick family reunion

Barrett was a great host and was very responsive. Older historical home but well maintained. Close to restaurants and shopping. Very comfortable beds and if i had brought my dog she would have loved the huge gated backyard with outdoor seating.

In town for a long weekend...cozy living room, with so many reclining seats! Nice, well appointed kitchen, HUGE bathroom, comfy beds, and large backyard. Would def stay again!

Nice over night stay.

House was clean, comfortable beds, loved the remote control lights and ceiling fan. Each bedroom had a lock on the door. Good pressure and hot water. Had an issue with the front door lock but manager answered on first call and issue was taken care of. Two Mexican restaurants and a bar within walking distance. Small draw back the bath towels were small and well used. Overall was a great place for an overnight stay.

I totally enjoyed the stay my kids loved it and didn’t want to go home at all. we enjoyed our vacation there it was close to everything really. They did a lovely job on this house no disappointments.

Older, run down house in a poor neighborhood. The wifi turned off multiple times, and I was unable to get into contact with the host for anything. The "king bedroom" was a king size bed on a queen size box spring.

Beds were pretty uncomfortable seemed like the mattress were just setting on boxes the mattress where very uneven and not very comfortable. The motion light got kind of annoying as well but over all the house was good and it was definitely a clean place to stay

Exactly what we were looking for!!!

Friends and I traveled to Toledo for the Glass City Marathon. The house was clean and ready for our arrival and exactly as described. Quiet neighborhood close to several bars and restaurants. We will definitely stay again if we are in Toledo!

Couldn't get inside for an hour and a half and then in the morning at 10am (check out time is 11btw) walks inside the bnb and try's to tell me that check out is 10am when I have 3 things the proves it's 11 he had a whole online e-book and it has instructions but no WiFi password and jus piss poor communication I wish I could deadass get a refund
