This lodging was the worst I have ever had in Cancun or elsewhere! Dirty & unclean unit, old linens, old worn out mattress with no pad & sheet that didn't fit or stay on, unsafe poorly fitting entry door. Listing was inaccurate in many ways! No public beach nearby as stated. All beaches in area are private & inaccessible. No kitchen, or cookware as stated. No place to store clothing, no closet, hangers, hooks or dresser. 10 day stay for 2 people received 1 washcloth, 2 bath towels & a dirty bathmat. Several items in the unit were damaged, including doors, fixtures and torn screen on patio door. For 2 hours I was unable to check in to my unit as the wrong key was in the lock box. Two people who spoke no English left me locked within the property for some time while they tried to find the key. I tried to get out through the gate.They have billed me for damage to their entrance gate. I am not a body builder, I just tried to open the swing gate when I was locked in. The street outside this property has an overturned garbage dumpster, trash & food strung across the street which attracted vultures & flies, huge abandoned building beside the property with junk & abandoned cars lining the street. Run!!!!! Do not rent this unit. A month later, Expedia/VRBO has not accepted responsibility or done anything about this! They have had ample opportunity to make amends for their lack of oversight on this lodging.
