Kick back cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit not clean. Debris all over floors. Very dusty surfaces. Pet hair on floors, steps, sheets, rugs, couches. Hadn't been vacuumed. Found roaches in some cabinets and saw fleas at least up stairs in bedroom and bathroom. Children and wife had flea bites. Seems to be not much integrity in the cleaning process. Had to wash dishes before use.

started with finding the cabin. It was not clearly numbered. I did not receive an email for check in and could not reach the host as the instructions state to do. Finally got in touch with a human from the rental agency (3 hours later). On the surface the place looked clean. Then we turned the beds down and every one of them was full of dog hair. The blind in the down stairs bathroom window would not lower. the tub was not clean. I was very disappointed with this situation. We drove for hours to get there then wait hours to get into the cabin only to lay down in nasty beds. i DO NOT recommend this place!

I went by the review total of 8.8/Exceptional. I turned in a list of complaints in an attempt to NOT write a terrible review. I received NO feedback though. Then I went through the reviews and read the 4-6's, which completely agreed with our experience. There were numerous small things that could easily have been fixed ex: a light bulb missing - not out mind you, but missing and the seal on the fridge didn't seal. These may seem petty, BUT due to the filthy environment, it all added up! When I cleaned up a spill on the floor, the paper towel came up black. When I got out of the shower, I turned to put my foot on the bathtub to dry it ... mud patty :-( COBWEBS and DUST all over. Thank goodness we brought Pet Febreze for the furniture. The picture shows gravel, with an asphalt strip behind it - perfect for motorcycle friendly. We were asked to move the bikes though, since that was a "real" one-way road. We did, of course, but not overly motorcycle friendly in gravel. This could easily be thoroughly cleaned (although many other low reviews say the same thing ???) and updated for a very convenient location - loved having a washer/dryer too! Great Communication as well.

Very nice rental and convenient location

We enjoyed our stay at Kick back cabin. The house was very clean had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect and close to down town. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location

Kick back cabin was a perfect place to stay. Very easy check in and great communication for easy booking and checking out. Place was clean and comfy, had everything we needed. Very close to Cherokee and beautiful drive for Mountain View’s. Very quiet area and would recommend staying at Kick back.

Very cute house

This house can accommodate many not only 2 bedrooms and 2 baths but a day bed and a futon on floor for small child ! Couch folds out also ! Had 1 small issue and the property manage and the owner were very easy to work with !! We will stay there again !! Very nice !!

The cabin was very pretty but the furniture was too soft for us. Some may be ok with it but we need more support as we get older. If the bed and couches were a little firmer, it would've been great! It also shows a recliner but it wasn't there. We didn't sleep well due to the soft bed. There is a keurig which was a lifesaver. The cabin was well stocked with linens, towels, etc. It is right in town so it was super easy to get to the stores and restaurants.

nice cabin in the heart of Maggie Valley

Overall our stay was great! The cabin is nice and clean only complaints are its not very well stocked. There were no pot holders in the kitchen we were provided one trash bad and zero dishwasher pods. The listing says cleaning supplies not provided which did not bother me, but when you rent a house certain things are expected like pot holders trash bags and dish pods to keep the dishes clean!

Great getaway

Kick back cabin is definitely a great getaway spot. Conveniently located 1 minute from town. The only complaint was cleanliness. The toilet wasn’t clean behind toilet seat in downstairs bathroom. And living room walls and ceiling fan are caked in dust. Nothing a super tall ladder and an extended pole duster can’t fix, other than that we would absolutely stay here again!

Kick back cabin

That on lower floor had a foam top and it was very uncomfortable. It rolled me and my wife into the center. Fireplace did not work. We did not report it and the microwave was missing its turntable plate. Other than that the cabin was awesome.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is in a great location. It is easy to access. Beautiful cabin, but needs to be cleaned better. There are lots of cobwebs and dust all over. The floors don’t look to have been swept or mopped in a while. There are crumbs and dirt all in between the couch cushions. The couch cushions are dirty and smell. The shower liner is filthy and needs to be replaced. Those are really inexpensive and should be replaced frequently. There was no plate for the microwave. The gas fireplace wouldn’t work despite following instructions on paper. I was unable to contact anyone being a holiday week. I did email and never got a reply. There were clean towels, but the bed linens need to be washed. Even the extra ones in the closet weren’t clean. My family cleans cabins for a living and they would have been fired if it ever looked this way. We pay a cleaning fee it should be getting cleaned. The hot water runs out after only one shower. It is unfortunate such a nice cabin isn’t cleaned properly. I didn’t even want to sit on the sofa or feel comfortable laying on the pillows and sheets in the bed.
