Getting Around:

Car, bike, or walk within the community. You will need a car to go anywhere outside of the community. Uber and taxi cabs are available in the area, but can have long wait times or be difficult to find.



We strongly recommend that you travel in an AWD/4WD vehicle. We are located in the mountains and roads tend to be sloped and can get very icy.



Other Things to Note:

● The rental agreement will be sent to you once the reservation is accepted. Your booking is only confirmed once it is signed. Kindly complete it within 24 hours to secure your reservation. If not signed within the deadline, your booking may be cancelled with no refund.

● This property can host a maximum of 6 guests, including children and infants, per the local governing regulations.



DOG FEE:

● $150 per dog. All dogs must be vetted. We allow a maximum of 3 dogs per booking, and we have the right to decline dogs based on breed or age. The appropriate fees will be requested once final approval has been confirmed.



● Guests shall register with the Big Bass Lake Community Association.



REGISTRATION:

● $50 Transaction fee per group - This is included in the booking total

● Registration and/or bookings finalized within 3 days of arrival will include a $50 community processing charge, in accordance with community policy.

● Changes to the registration form will incur a $15 fee per request.

● These charges will be collected separately through the booking platform after the reservation is confirmed



OPTIONAL community amenities (seasonal) pass:

● Weekdays: $8 per person per day

● Weekend: $10 per person per day



● Access to the Big Bass Lake community amenities (such as the pool, lake, beach, etc.) is managed by the HOA and is subject to change without notice. Availability, operating hours, and reservation requirements are outside of our control. We recommend checking the official community website or calling their direct office phone number for the most up-to-date information before your stay.

● Please note, these fees are not set by us as hosts. They are established by the community and apply to all guests. These charges help cover the costs of operating and maintaining the many great amenities and facilities available during your stay.



IMPORTANT!

● We cannot accommodate same-day check-in registrations.

● Registration forms must be submitted to the office no later than three (3) business days before check-in.

● To enter the community, you must go and register at the Main Gate House as our GUEST. All adults and children must be named at the main gate.



● Wander Home welcomes guests with fully verified profiles. Please upload your government-issued ID and payment method in your account settings, as well as send us a photo of your ID.

● Eligible refunds are subject to a 6% processing fee.

● A damage waiver fee ($40) is included for all reservations.

● Given the rural setting of the property, occasional sightings of ants, spiders, flying insects, and mice may occur despite our year-round pest control efforts. We strive to manage these encounters to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that the house will be completely pest free.

● Guest must be at least 25 years old to book the property.

● NOTE: We provide enough essential items to cover stays of about 2-3 nights. If you need more supplies during your stay, you can visit one of the following nearby stores: ShopRite, Dutch's Market or Weis

● There is potential for occasional noise from trains that run along the property at the edge of the lake.

● When drought, weather or other conditions present an unusual fire risk, a burn ban may be imposed by the community without prior notice.

There are 2 security cameras on site, all on the exterior of the property and in plain view:

● 1 doorbell camera at main entry door

● 1 floodlight camera at the garage overlooking the driveway



Interaction with Guests:

We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You and your party will be able to self-check-in upon arrival.



Please remember that you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.

The accommodations were perfect for my little family and pups. It was very clean and equipped for anyone needing a quick getaway to relax. Only thing that I would change is how you discard your trash. It’s-bit of a distance from the property. The hosts were very responsive and detailed with instructions. I will be returning…makes me want a lake house now

We had a wonderful stay at this tranquil lake house. Loved relaxing by the firepit, soaking in the hot tub, and kayaking on the lake. The location was peaceful but still close enough to stores and restaurants for convenience. A great getaway!

If your looking for a quiet peaceful place stop looking, this is the place. The home is well stocked and has pretty much everything you will need. Communication was one of the best Ive ever had through a vrbo rental. Hot tub was clean and we also used the kayaks. We will visit again!

This is a great house for vacation. We were close enough to visit the Poconos (sightseeing, golfing, etc) but had a great location to come home to. Lake offers a quiet place to relax. Great for morning coffee or evening sunsets. Great chairs, great location of house on the lake- very quiet area.Hot tub was clean and we enjoyed that quite a bit.Loved that it was dog friendly - extra bonus having a leash tethered by the lake. Everything in the house was great - kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen table, etc. Nice amenities. Well kept home.

Weekend Away

Nice property on a great location. We were there still during winter and had a great time at the home. Hot tub worked well. Only negative was the condition of the sofa. It was really beat up and not something I expected for the money paid.

Summer Vacation 2024

We loved the property and it’s amenities. During the day our family enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and swimming in the lake. At night we loved the hot tub, fire pit, and catching toads. If we were to add any convenience to the property we would suggest access to a hose in the rear of the house. To be able to wash our feet prior to entering the house and to level off the hot tub when the water gets too low. Our family really enjoyed our time in your lovely vacation home!
