Boasting 175 feet of private waterfront, a gentle sandy beach, and a spacious grassy lawn perfect for family games and picnics, this lakeside “vessel” is ideal for families of all ages. Whether you’re swimming, paddling, or simply anchoring yourself on the shore to relax, there’s plenty of room for both adventure and downtime.

The home comes fully equipped for water fun with 3 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a swim platform, and a dock capable of accommodating a 20-foot boat—your crew can set sail and explore Moose Pond’s 8 miles of pristine waters. After a day on the lake, drop anchor on the deck or gather around the fire pit under the stars. Nearby hiking trails, local dining, shopping, and attractions provide additional “shore leave” for everyone. Enjoy peaceful spring and fall getaways or a bustling summer cruise—The Ship is the perfect setting for an unforgettable Maine lakeside family adventure.

Stellar family week at MS Ship

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at "The Ship". Special thanks to the Krainen folks, who were pleasant, cooperative, ready to help with any question or small issues (very few). Though just across the camp road, the private waterfront, dock and float are highlights. Good fishing too! Thank you, we may be back another year. (Rent your linens, SO much easier.)

Excellent base for family reunion of 3 generations (9 adults, 7 children). Plenty of space to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed, the pool and air hockey tables were much appreciated and the dock/swimming area was great. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and the dock was sturdy. This was the first time we’ve rented a place without bedding and towels included and it was a bit of a hassle to bring our own, but wouldn’t stop us from renting again. All in all, a great week and we’re grateful for the memories!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The biggest hit was the lakefront access. It was easy to get kayaks and paddle boards out, with plenty of life jackets for safety. The floating dock was so much fun and all the kids had a chance to fish and they even caught some. The home was changing cleaning companies so we felt bad for the last minute cleaning crew who really didn’t have time to finish the job. The home could use a few upgrades (some new carpet and taking away one area rug in particular that seems to be a hazard, by pool table). We were a family of 20 and had lots of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable and having multiple ac zones allowed guests to have the temperature to their liking. The kitchen was well stocked with some multiple appliances and even several coffee options (ex. 2 toasters). They also supplied simple things like salt and pepper, garbage bags, soap for dishes and dishwasher, as examples. They had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom along with a starting supply of bath tissue. The house is well stocked with games for adults and kids and the pool table and air hockey were huge hits. There are multiple refrigerators on the main floor which helped with with storing all the food and drinks brought for meals. Bringing sheets and towels was not fun but should not stop you from coming to this home. We made many memories as a family! Thank you.
