Watch the sun set over Lake Charlevoix sitting on a large covered front porch after you've walked home from dinner in downtown Boyne City - less than a 10min walk along the water's edge. Enjoy Peninsula beach and splash pad adjacent to the Harborage Marina right across the street. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen/dining area, family room and washer/dryer. During the non-winter months, you'll find a lovely patio with furniture and a grill behind the house with a large back yard plush with thick grass. Summer and fall in downtown Boyne City truly is adorable and a great place to vacation with children. Enjoy the farmers market every Wednesday and Saturday along with craft shows at Vets Park. Stroll the streets every Friday night with live music and drinks on the go. Enjoy the commanding views of Avalanche Peak which rises to 1023 feet above Lake Charlevoix providing visibility of any high point south of the Mackinac Bridge. Boyne City is centrally located for travel to Walloon Lake, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Traverse City, Elk Rapids, Crossroads Village, Mackinaw City and more in under an hour. For winter enthusiasts enjoy skiing and an indoor water park at Boyne Mountain with Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands less than 30 miles away.

This lake cottage was just as pictured. I could have spent the week on the front porch rocker. We watched the sunset over the harbor every night. Perfect wind down for the day. There is so much to do within a relatively short drive. Boyne City downtown is just a short walk. This place was totally worth the trip from the West Coast.

This was a very charming home. The decor was like stepping into grandma's country cottage. The views and front porch were amazing, just as the photos suggest. The home was clean, and we had much of what we needed. The beds were comfortable and the living spaces roomy and accommodating. Please remember this is an older cottage, and there was some expected mustiness when we walked in. They were also gracious enough to provide an air purifier, which helped a lot. Wilma was accessible, kind, and considerate to work with before and during our stay. It was a great fall weekend in upper MI! We were very glad we found this delightful home.

We had a very comfortable 2 weeks here in early August with another couple and their baby. Very clean and adorably decorated cottage on the main lakefront road about a 5 min. walk to downtown. We loved the front porch (the view-wow!), and cooked/grilled most nights. The galley kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Really clean appliances. The beds were comfy and there were loads of extra towels and linens. We brought too much “just in case” stuff. We just didn’t need it because it was already there.

Amazing Experience

The pics and description do not even come close to matching the perfection of this cute, summer cottage. The home was in pristine condition. The location was 10/10. We enjoyed beautiful sunset views from the cozy porch most nights, and loved the short walks into town. We are so excited to book this cottage again next year.

Great location, very very clean, host was timely with communications. Only issue was street in front of house was CLOSED due to construction. Access to house from backyard was very unsafe.

Charming Boyne City Cottage

This cozy cottage was full of old time charm, yet with modern touches (the bed mattresses were extremely comfortable, a variety of pillows, washer & dryer, nice coffee maker, toaster etc). The weather was in our favor and we ate many meals outside in the front porch. The location is about a 10 minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Very easy straight shot of a walk. The photos were all accurate. We really enjoyed our stay!

Charming cottage

What a sweet cottage, great location and beautiful sunsets! The house was very clean and was perfect for 4 adults. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and looking out at the marina and beautiful lake. It was an easy walk into town for dining and farmers market. There was a local grocery store that had everything we needed. The house was well stocked with paper goods and basics. Our wonderful host was very accommodating and responsive.
