The person who runs the listing isn't the same person that manages the rental and there doesn't seem to be communication between them until you're standing outside. I felt so bad that they didn't know we were coming and it wasn't ready but the hosts there were wonderful and took care of us. Beautiful neighborhood and a great place for us to spend a long weekend.

Overall the space was "fine" however there was an order or cat pee that hit you the second you walked in the door. We could tell something was off because the hallway steps leading up to the space was lined with candles. The smell in the verb was unbearable and made us question the cleanliness of everything else so we ditched the place and payed for a hotel instead. I would not recommend staying here. There was no lights up to our door, limited security, and a fire alarm that was beeping outside the main entrance. There were random outlets/fixtures that didn't work and were likely hazardous, holes in the ceilings by the fans and the bathroom door handle was broken and literally locked you in there if it fell off. There were only 2 towels for 3 guest and no soap in the dispensers. food and drink was left from previous guest as well.

We were unable to get in and a person living in the main level said that she was not aware that it was reserved and was dirty. The backyard pictured in VRBO is nothing like what we say as it was a complete mess and had caged dogs and chickens. We were told we had to contact the host who did not respond to us and we were stranded at 5:30pm with a dog (as I had stated I would be bringing a dog). We were rightfully angry, disgusted and sad. I have used VRBO for years and I have never had this experience.

Overall disappointing. Mold in the coffee maker and random items in the walkway/staircase area when entering the unit. Odd smell when entering the building. Listing online was not accurate as there was no private back yard access. There were 2 very large dogs on the property and we brought along our very small 20 pound dog. She could have easily been injured. For the price we paid for a single evening, I would have expected a better stay.

Pleasant area and short drive to downtown area

The place is very clean and spacious for two bedrooms. There is a cute park close by with trails and also a coffee shop with restaurants within walking distance. The beds are very comfortable.

Check in time was at 2,pm We got there there around 3:30 or so and the door was locked and we had to wait some additional minutes to be let in and then upon look at the place we noticed the backyard had had kennels with dogs in it! What you could smell throughout the place and was not to be back there Plus they had a quiet time at 11:00 cuz of kids downstairs not know of until we got there Plus there was some banging around 12 and got ready to go to our show and afterwards we decided to just go home

My experience was horrible, I didn’t even sleep in the house, but they still took my money. I started texting the host three hours before I got there and never got a response., she told me that the key would be upstairs, but the front door was locked when we got there. I tried the back door. There were two huge dogs in the backyard which I was unaware of. They started barking the moment they saw me. I tried contacting the host but to no avail. The backyard was very dirty and stinky. I had to spend another 300 to find a place to sleep that night, I’m yet to get my refund.

I was denied access by the owner. When i arrived at the property the was waiting outside. And wouldn't let me in. The owner stayed that they didn't receive notifications of my reservation and they haven't received payment in months grom vrbo

Pretty good spot

I’d like to give them a higher rating because every time a problem popped up they worked to solve it! But when we arrived four hours after check-in time last Sunday, the owner seemed to have no advance notice of our week-long booking. The apartment wasn’t cleaned yet and a family member was taking a shower. They were very apologetic about it and we waited about an hour before moving in. We did like the location and the unit was fine overall!

Arrived at property at 3:15 the house was very dirty and smelt Of weed and cigarettes the beds were not made and there leftover food on the counters! Called the host she stated she would refund my money as we were not going to be staying there or leaving out belongings since we had to hurry up and get to the concert! Have sent the host a message with no response! Host stated she was going to call me back and hasn’t yet! We did not stay there last night we had to hurry and find a different place to stay

Stinky and Poorly Run

It's a nice-looking rental. But sadly it smelled like smoke and incense when we got there. Later smelled like cat poop. Linens and towels were missing and we had to ask to get them. Backyard had large dog pens not shown in photos, garbage, and was generally a mess. Wifi did not work. Smoke alarm did low battery beep for 3 days. Owner did nothing about it even after I reported it. LOL dirty sock and Christmas decor reported by reviewer in May still there. Worst VRBO experience we've had. Asking for a partial refund. Have heard nothing yet.

Poor Experience :(

High Points: - poor communication with host, minimal response initially over message and then the 2 phone calls I had with the host, there was no response mid conversation and hung up - walked in, smelled like weed/smoke, part of the home smelled better (like very strong cleaning products) - they said they would provide an air mattress, was no air mattress (maybe in a closet or something somewhere?) could not find - host said when you arrived, door would be unlocked and key inside. We arrived and door was locked. :( - when we arrived, dirty wet sock on front enterance and Christmas decorations up in May? - will be working to get a refund, “stayed” for less that 30 minutes and left.

Worst Vrbo experience ever. Booked this place because it was advertised as “pet friendly” and we were traveling with our elderly chihuahua. Got there and the instructions were to just walk in through the front door. It’s a duplex that has a communal front door and our unit was upstairs. When I got there, the communal door was locked. I messaged the host and got no response. I called and she said that she would have someone open the door for us. The tenant quickly unlocked the door and ran off. I opened the door and was immediately hit with the overwhelming smell of cat pee. I went upstairs to check out the unit and use the bathroom and when I went to exit the door handle fell off effectively trapping me in the bathroom. Luckily I wasn’t alone and was saved by my friend. The back door that went to the back yard had a sign that said “DO NOT USE” and “BEWARE OF DOGS”. Not sure why this place was advertised as pet friendly when there were two large dogs on the premises and we couldn’t use the yard. Believe it or not, I was willing to let all these things go, but when I called the host and explained to her that we were in town for a wedding and would be out late, therefore I needed the code to the front door as not to be locked out in the middle of the night with my dog trapped in the unit, she told me she would not give out the code thus forcing me to depend on her tenant if the door was locked again. We argued until she hung up on me and told me “she didn’t have time for this”.

It was the worst stay ever!

We were excited to stay close to our venue and the pictures looked lovely. We arrived after the check in time and we were told the front door would be open and a key would be left on the kitchen counter. Front door locked and no one would answer the phone for us. There was someone living downstairs we started repeatedly ringing the doorbell. Finally someone who appeared to have been asleep answered the door very irritated. It was her job to maintain and ready the place for visitors (she said) she also said she was not informed we were even coming. Said it was not ready, but that she would get started. I walked up the stairs and it was such a big mess it was concerning. She got it ready (as she could) in about 1 1/2 hours. (although it was still very unclean) and we were allowed to enter at 6 pm. We went to our concert and when we returned at about midnight we tried to go upstairs and there was a VERY LARGE, ANGRY DOG blocking our way. We tried for an hour to get ahold of the owner and even contemplated calling the police, before they came back home and put their dog back in their apartment. (They had 2 large dogs but only one was in the house) We left right away the next morning and asked for a partial credit for the inconveniences but were denied. Even tried calling VRBO and they were no help. I have stayed several places and have never been so disappointed. I would not recommend this home.
