Renovated, one level home in an excellent location

Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable time in this beautiful fully furnished 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom house. The house has been recently renovated to maximize comfort and overall experience. Excellent location close to major stores, restaurants and at walking distance to Candlewood Lake and Candlewood Lake Point private beach. Highlights: Free WIFI, Roku TV with Youtube TV, towels & beach towels, bed linens, and a beautiful deck with dining table, propane grill, and patio furniture. Entire house. I'm available via text messages and email. I usually get back within one hour. Candlewood Lake Point private community is a very family oriented community. Local traffic most of the time and perfect for relaxing. Very well located close to major stores and at a walking distance to candlewood lake. You have Walmart, stop & shop, dunkin donuts, panera bread, five guys and many local stores less than 10 min driving. You will also have access to the community beach at a walking distance from the house. You can also drive and that would make your trip to the beach in less than a minute. In case you are in the mood for boating or renting kayaks or even rent a boat slip for your own boat, Gerard's marina os at a walking distance too. They will be able to help. Say you are staying at Alberto's house and you may get a discount. :-) Private community beach at 0.3 miles from the house. Candlewood Lake Park at 0.9 miles away. Gerard's Edge Marine at 0.6 miles away. Many shopping and restaurants options with in just a few miles away. Bring your family for summer fun or feel at home when you are away in any other season. Perfect for weekend getaways or short to mid-term rentals.

Will stay again when in the area

The home was great. It's in a quiet neighborhood, great location, close to Candlewood Lake, restaurants, and stores. Everything you need for your visit is provided. There is a private backyard, a big deck, a grill, and plenty of chairs.

Thr house itself was well appointed but the neighborhood was very residential and very hilly. The beach area was nice but extremely hilly getting there if you walk to it We had difficulty working the tv as it was not cable, it was Roku. Also the owner lives in Texas so communicating with him was difficult

Great location, private & quaint

We had a great stay here for 5+ adults! We had two friends to join us for Thanksgiving dinner, Kitchen, very well, equipped easy to make the whole meal. The walking paths around the neighborhood down to the water were easy to walk around and great scenic value. Easy and efficient communication with the host, and relatively close to the center of town for restaurants and stores..

Peaceful Getaway

My daughter & I stayed for a long weekend and the house was perfect! Fully equipped, very clean, and in a quiet neighborhood - great ambience to just unplug and chill prior to her wedding. The owners were very attentive to any prior arrival questions I had - all and all, I would highly recommend and would certainly stay here again!

College roommates weekend

3 college roommates stayed because new Milford was a convenient location for all 3 of us. Great girls trip catching up with wine snacks and movies. We weren’t familiar with the area so wished we would have stayed closer to town aka the Green but it was nice to have a 5 minute walk down to the little private beach area and an easy 10ish minute drive to town to walk around some shops before heading back to enjoy good company. Thanks Alberto! U were great with ur communication both before and during the trip and we appreciated the lovely stay!

Not great

Poorly installed flooring. Bouncy and separating floor planks. Septic issues during our stay so we were unable to use or flush the toilets
. The property doesn’t seem to have a manager and the owner lives in Texas. Although he called a plumber to come the next day, he was unable to fix it. He leaves propane for the grill up to the guests to tell himWhen it’s empty. Apparently the previous guests didn’t tell him so I had to go out and buy a tank to use the grill. I gave him the opportunity for a credit or refund but he didn’t seem interested in making it right so here’s the honest review.

Perfect for Girls Weekend Away!

What a blast! This home was the perfect setting for our girls weekend away celebrating our 40-something birthdays! We wanted to do what we do best when we’re together: relax, eat & drink, shop and talk & laugh - and we did just that! We came from 4 different locations across 3 different states and reuniting over a home cooked meal was just the best! The spacious layout of the home was ideal - plenty of room for us to all be together while simultaneously offering personal space. We shopped at farmer’s market & local stores, ate dinner one night at Iron Rail (so good!) and visited Housatonic Brewery (check their music & food truck calendar!) The deck was the perfect spot for Happy Hour drinks & card games. We enjoyed made a charcuterie spread with our finds at local provisions shops/farmers market. Everyone slept comfortably and we were conveniently located to all things New Milford - Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a nice stay. House was cozy Only negatives: Freezer was very dirty and the master bath shower floor is very slippery and no grab bar!

Great place to get a away in Candlewood Point

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay at Alberto's place. The house is very modern and so clean. It had everything that we needed. We loved the back porch and the spacious kitchen. The Candlewood beach was walking distance but we always drove down to it. We have a boat on the lake and it was about 15 minutes away. The community where the house sits is quiet and is very close to shops and restaurant. Great find.
