Minutes from Main Street yet extending a rare offer of privacy, this charming contemporary getaway on esteemed Mirror Lake Drive promises its guests the quintessential Lake Placid experience.

Lake Placid Marina - offering seasonal boat tours and rentals - neighbors directly west, and a canoe carry to access Mirror Lake is a few steps south. Mirror Lake Drive is highly walkable/bike-able, with continuous sidewalk leading directly into the downtown area. From booking to checkout, Kristen made sure we all had everything we needed for our stay in Lake Placid. The house is fantastic, with plenty of comfy spots to relax, a very well-equipped kitchen, and great proximity to both town as well as Whiteface. The fireplace was especially a treat on snowy eves! Would absolutely recommend this very special spot.

Wonderful home and location

A perfect place to base our family for a trip to Lake Placid. Clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Great communication with the host as well - wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Wonderful house to stay at

My friends and I booked this home to be in Lake Placid for the 4/8/24 solar eclipse. The house exceeded all of our expectations in every way from the cleanliness of the home to the comfort of the beds. Communication with the owner was stellar. Everything we needed was there. Lots of space for us to spread out for some alone time in another room if needed, and ample space to gather together as well. The home was close enough to town on Main Street to walk there. We had three vehicles that easily fit in the driveway as well. Having use of the wood burning stove was amazing and made for cozy evenings with some wine by the fire. The owner also provided a gift of a bottle of delicious olive oil which was such a pleasant surprise and enjoyed by all. Each of us agreed whole heartedly that we would rent the home again for a girls weekend or a trip with our family.

Loved it!

We loved our stay in Lake Placid. The house was nice and close to town to walk. We enjoyed coming back to the house and relaxing by the fire! Would highly recommend!

Great house and location

We had an excellent stay at Kristen's house. The location was amazing (walkable to town). The house was very spacious, great layout, and clean for our group of 8 (adults & kids) to enjoy a long weekend. Beds were cozy and kitchen was well stocked with spices and pans. Kristen was very responsive throughout our stay.
