The Atelier - Cozy and airy studio in Columbia City

The Atelier is a light and airy 400 SF studio with birchwood cathedral ceilings and skylights in a private backyard. A wonderful place for sleeping and dreaming! Pull the sheer curtains across the sliding glass doors so you can see out but no one can see in. There is no AC but we can offer fans to place inside if needed. Kitchen has a stovetop and microwave, coffeemakers and pots and pans. The beautiful bathroom features a walk-in shower with heated floor. Enjoy wifi, books, games, and a working turntable with LPs! Just outside, a comfy garden patio.
The space
Walk up the driveway to the private backyard and you'll find The Atelier.
Guest access
The whole building and the patio.
The Atelier is all one floor with just one step up into the space.
Other things to note
We are walking distance to the Columbia City, Hillman City and Seward Park neighborhoods. The bus stop is at the end of the street and the light rail is a 15 minute walk away.

We really enjoyed staying at this cute studio with an amazing outdoor patio and garden. The owners were super responsive to any questions we had. It was close to my son’s home and we got to meet our first grandson! We will definitely be staying here again!

An easy walk to Columbia City shops and the Rt 7 bus. Near the metro rail, but not especially close to a stop. Very clean, wonderfully furnished, and comfortable bed! Especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floor!

Sleeping in Seattle!

I seriously love the Atelier SO MUCH! Absolutely perfect for me - close to coffee shops and the cool shops in Hillman City/Columbia City neighborhood. Short walk to the light rail and 10 minute stroll to my daughter's house. The studio is bright and comfortable with a fully-stocked kitchen. And Nancy had good fresh local half-and-half along with oat milk to pair with the coffee provided. Beautiful patio with a well-loved garden. Just lovely! I definitely will be back!! 3

I've been burned by vacation listings before but this was a lovely stay and identical to the listing. The room was clean, heated bathroom floors a HUGE plus, the blankets warm and cozy when it got chilly at night—I didn't utilize the record player as I should've, but the vinyls are a great collection (Miles Davis and Richard Pryor!!)Yes, the curtains are sheer, but you really can't see anything through from the outside looking in. I enjoy waking up in natural daylight so the skylights were a plus. Very close to coffee shops (I recommend Onda), an indie movie theater, Ethiopian and Hawaiian restaurants, bars, and taco places but since it's within walking distance of the main part of the neighborhood you don't get all the loud noises of cars. Easily accessible by Uber, but public transit is straight forward and close by. Would definitely stay here again.
