Wagner Creek Hideaway

Come visit Munising and relax with the whole family at this peaceful home by Wagner Creek. There is plenty of room with four bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It has two sitting areas and a full kitchen. You'll love the calming sounds of the creek and the short 5 minute drive to downtown Munising. Munising is the gateway to the Pictured Rock National Lakeshore and has lots of hikes to do and waterfalls to see. It is a small, quiet town right on the coast of Lake Superior. Plan your trip today!
Munising is located in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, is the entry point to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and also features Grand Island National Recreational Area (.5 miles from shore). It is only 40 miles east of Marquette, which is the U.P.’s biggest town. With a population of just over 2,500, it has a small-town charm but bustles with many activities throughout the year. Munising is the best place to hike with over 15 waterfalls located around town, with most being an easy ability level because paved trails and wood walkways. There is also 5 lighthouses and several beautiful recreation areas.

I stayed at this property with my two adult children for 3 nights at the end of August. I chose the property for its proximity to Munising and Pictured Rocks, and it was perfect for our time in the area. A short drive to both Munising and Wetmore for restaurants, stores, etc. Close to the west end of the national park and other area recreational attractions. Host provided clear directions on access and checkout and suggested places to eat. We had more than enough room to spread out and each have some privacy. There's only one shower/tub, so larger groups might have to coordinate that, but it was not an issue for us. The house is close to the main route into Munising, so there is some road noise. It didn't bother us, but light sleepers might want plan accordingly.We did have a brief mouse (one) encounter near the fireplace, but didn't see any signs of more in the house. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would consider booking this house again. We'd love to come back to this area to explore more!

Good times at Wagner Creek Hideaway

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wagner Creek Hideaway. We were scheduled to kayak Pictured Rocks one day but this is the perfect spot as a base for day trips. This house had everything we needed - enough space for gathering and sleeping. We plan to return in the future.

Ladies Getaway

Great location for all that we planned to do in and around Munising. More than enough space to accommodate four adults. Pros- proximity to waterfalls/hiking,space and the hot water heater is awesome, four adults showering without running out of hot water!!Cons- no A/C , right on highway and main bedrooms bed is in need of being replacedOverall we had a great stay!

3 night visit for a hiking trip

I visited Munising to do trail hiking with my son and daughter-in-law. This place was great for our stay. There was plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. We will stay here again next time we are in Munising.

Met our needs

We were looking for a place, set away from tourist areas and this place was perfect. It’s an older place but clean. There is quite a bit of traffic noise but overall place was perfect for what we were looking for. Thank you!

Great price, great location.

House was located 2miles from downtown Munising right off of Hwy 28. I was concerned about the price being so reasonable because it had 4 bedrooms, jacuzzi bathtub, washer/dryer and a garage. Lower priced than most 2 bedroom places in this area. Seeing is believing because the place was great! Located next to a creek but also next to a highway so hanging out side wasn’t the quietest. If you want a nice place for a great price, this is the place.
