Absolutely amazing stay! The home was beautiful, incredibly pet-friendly, and was the best part of our entire trip. We didn’t want to leave!! The homeowner was an absolute delight and went above and beyond to provide us with the best information and recommendations. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and already can’t wait to come back!

The place was amazing - photos don’t even do justice! Aubrey was incredible- great communication throughout our stay. It was super clean, the view was amazing, felt very secluded even though there were neighbors close by. It was just 15 min drive to town and 5 minutes to the lake. Great location!!! I’m ready to go back already

We absolutely loved our stay at Dark Moon Chalet! Aubrey was an amazing host. All check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The cabin was decorated beautifully and there were so many special touches that made it very cozy and memorable.

Aubrey was a fantastic host! She responded quickly to all my inquiries before and during my stay. The cabin is top notch. The decor is beautiful. It had all the necessities and more. They really took the time to make sure our stay was enjoyable!

Perfect cozy mountain cabin

We stayed here over the holidays and were so happy with the experience. The house was beautifully and charmingly decorated, had everything we could want, and was super clean and comfortable. Excellent sheets and towels. Easy and immediate communication with the property manager. Highly recommend!

Perfect get away!

The views, the birds and wildlife, the cute kitchen with cabin mugs and coffee machine and playing pool at night while soaking in the hot tub under the sky. This cabin location is amazing! Very clean, designed with a touch of modern but country and grand scale living with everything needed to make the perfect get away. We can’t wait to come back!

Stunning mountain cabin

My wife and I stayed at this cabin 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is even bigger than we expected and the furnishings are very elegant and cozy. When I had any questions, Aubrey responded right away. I also wanted to say how appreciative I was when Brad came to the cabin to help us get our car out of the snow. Thank you so much, we couldn't have done it without your help.

Upscale Cozy

Great space for family and friends. Spacious, modern cabin with the comforts of home. Aubrey really thought of every detail. You will not be disappointed! We had a blast playing pool and enjoyed our time relaxing on the wrap around deck watching the woodpeckers collecting acorns. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s located close to the lake and Julian. We arrived in a 26 ft Sprinter and had a little trouble with the turn around but the cabin was outstanding!!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this stunning home in Julian, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The house is gorgeous, warm, and incredibly festive for the holidays—every detail felt intentional and thoughtfully curated. I especially loved the decor: natural fibers, greenery, beautiful textures, and high-quality bedding and mattresses that made it feel both luxurious and cozy. The host is one of the most thoughtful I’ve ever encountered. The home was stocked with literally everything you could possibly need—and then some. I deeply appreciated the non-Teflon cookware and the amazing coffee machine (a small detail that makes a huge difference). The cedar tub was the cherry on top—pure magic. The shower with exposed stone was so unique and beautiful, and the balcony views were incredible. We watched birds, spotted a woodpecker, and soaked in the peaceful surroundings. There’s a great trail just a 5-minute drive away, and the house manual was so well done that everything felt effortless and easy from start to finish. The kids loved the board games, which was such a thoughtful touch.

From start to finish, this stay was wonderful! Aubrey was super communicative and the cabin was adorable. There was a lot of space, especially with the lower level (we didn't use it at all but it would be great for hanging out and playing games!). We have two corgis that go with us on trips and we always choose dog-friendly VRBOs but this was another level of dog friendliness. I LOVE that the dogs were allowed to hang on the couch with us with the provided dog blankets. That was such a nice touch! The hot tub was great - soooo warm and so cute with the pendant lights and trees all around. We only slept in the primary bed and the mattress was comfy. At a lot of places it seems they buy cheap mattresses or don't replace them enough and they feel uneven. Not here! :) I really don't have anything bad to say! I will warn folks (only because I didn't pay attention and notice this) but the primary room/loft is totally open to the main floor. While the bed isn't in view, any noises would transfer to the room if folks were downstairs. It was absolutely fine for us but wanted to add it here. We would absolutely stay here again.
