The mid century modern home was amazing and exceeded all expectations. Beautiful setting including a separate fenced in dog run area. Well stocked with everything we needed. Host easy to communicate with.

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our time together. The beds were comfortable and the quiet spot near Lake Michigan can't be beat.

We loved our stay in this mid-century modern gem of a home! The layout is unique and absolutely delightful. So many niches to explore! The lighting and built-in features are beautiful. We appreciated the big picture book on Frank Lloyd Wright's designs, which was perfect for the focus of our trip: a tour of the SC Johnson headquarters, which we would also highly recommend. One more special feature: a pool table! We had a great time playing both nights we were there.

Mid century Modern is a real vintage piece., wonderful to experience and we had all the modern conveniences. It felt as if we were rural & secluded - we were - still the times to go to a supper club, the harbor, etc. were super short.

The property was as described. Lots of room if traveling with a family. Enjoyed sitting in the Living room and looking out the huge windows. Saw many different birds, a ground hog, and a deer. Communication was excellent and the hosts were great. Would definitely book again if coming to Wisconsin.

A kitschy house in the woods of Wisconsin. We enjoyed Lake Michigan and visiting Kenosha & Racine. The Hob Nob Supper club is practically next door & a fantastic dining experience.

The house is like a blast from the past. Well maintained and looks to be all original. Was able to spend some quality family time with my son and his girlfriend, cook for the family and just relax. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold but who cares when you have family to spend time with.

This is a real Goldilocks property. By that I mean not that three bears live there, but that it's just right. Secluded in a beautiful woodsy area without being *too* secluded. Plenty of room for folks if you're filling all three bedrooms, but if you're traveling solo (as I was) you don't feel lost in it. Up to date plumbing and electrical in an environment that says "fifties avant garde." Quiet, but only 10-12 minutes by car from anywhere in Racine or Kenosha you want to go. (The great Wisconsin supper club Hobnob is only one minute down the road!) Responsive and helpful host. I would be happy to stay here again.

Beautiful yard & great house

The house is very private & set up very nicely. Everything we needed was provided which was so nice & not the norm when renting through VRBO. The house is very unique with lots of space - we really enjoyed it. The back yard is beautiful, relaxing and very private. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at this beautiful MCM home. There are so many unique details at this property. If you like architecture, you can't find a better place. The kitchen is unique and has everything you could need to cook and entertain. Views from the huge windows and the flow of the place made us not want to leave. From early check-in to making adjustments due to severe weather, the host was responsive and helpful. A book on the architect and the house was a nice touch. I feel lucky that we found this place and even luckier that we got to be part of the history of the home even for a short time.

House has a lot of character. We were overall comfortable and had what we needed. Wish we were away from the busy road but it’s fine. I think some things just looked more worn than in the photos, but it was adequate and owners were responsive when we had a lighting issue.

I feel like I stepped back in time. The mid century vibe was like a movie scene. This property is great! However it needs a good window cleaning, the landscape is lacking luster for the desired vibe. This house has tons of potential and could be elevated to a whole new level with some love.

Stunning mid-century space

Our party consisted of two grandmothers, two parents, 1 teenager, 1 tweenager, and a 25 lb dog. All of us loved the space, with all the nooks for everyone to have alone time and together time as needed. The kids used the pool table and air hockey table so much, which was great because there were no instances of anyone saying they were bored! Each of us enjoyed the screened in porch at different times during our stay. My partner and I both love architecture and design, and this house was a treasure trove of inspiration. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved it.

Nice yard for dog. House was well stocked sheets, towels etc. Electric plug in master bedroom appears to not work. Toilet in half bath likely needs replaced/ repaired chain gets stuck and needs adjusted after flushing. Looked for a hose to wash off back chairs, could not find. Appreciated the prompt blender delivery upon request. Thanks for a good visit at the house! Chris Rubin
