We had a fantastic stay at this vacation rental! The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect—quiet yet close to local attractions.

The first night we stayed in this condo, we woke up at 1:30am to bed bugs in the bunk room where my children were sleeping. After visiting the Sandestin guest reception, we had to move to a different condo immediately. I had to move three young children and three adults in the middle of the night. There were no other condos available for us on the beach and with a golf cart, which were the two main reasons we booked this condo. We had to move again the next day to another condo that did have a golf cart but was not on the beach. So after three condos in the first two days, we spent the rest of the week in a condo on the bayside, not on the beach and itching from the bedbug situation. We were not pleased.

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the distressing experience you and your family endured during your stay. The situation you described — especially involving young children — is absolutely not the standard we aim to provide, and we completely understand your frustration. As soon as the issue was reported, our team acted immediately to relocate your family in the middle of the night, which we recognize was incredibly inconvenient. Unfortunately, due to limited availability at the time, we were unable to place you in a comparable beachfront unit with a golf cart right away. We know how important those features were to your original booking and deeply regret that we couldn’t fully accommodate your expectations after the emergency move. Please know that the affected unit was taken offline and treated by a licensed pest control company before being made available again. Guest safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we take any pest issues very seriously. We truly value your feedback, and while we can’t undo the disruption you experienced, we did issue a partial refund for your stay as a gesture of goodwill and acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to restore your trust in the future.
