Our stay at this cozy lakefront home was awesome! It's very dog friendly, quiet, and was a great place to spend the night with my fiance and dog after our proposal at Hackers Falls. The backyard view is amazing during the day and night. Communication with the owner was good too. I would definitely go back!

We loved the location. Check in and communication were great. The art in the home is eclectic and beautiful. We used the location to visit all the gorgeous waterfalls in the area.

Overall review

Over the weekend, we spent some time at George’s lakehouse, and it was truly beautiful. The view of the lake from the kitchen was breathtaking, and it was so easy to feel comfortable and relaxed there. We’re already looking forward to returning in the summer.

Our family stay at a beautiful place...

My family had a great time. The property is beautiful and the front yard is right on a big private lake. We enjoyed boating and caught a bunch of fish.The house is very charming and comfortable. Peaceful and fun place. Definitely going back again soon.

Lakehouse Elopement

This lakehouse was gorgeous for our small elopement! A little cold at first, but we made use of the space heaters and fireplace! Lots of blankets, too! Perfect cozy atmosphere for our intimate ceremony

This was a terrible experience. We booked for two nights but left after the first because the house was very dirty. The sheets and blankets smelled bad, there were strong animal odors throughout the house, and the kitchen was in awful condition. Nothing was properly cleaned.When I asked for the cleaning fee refund, the host refused and then accused me of taking items from the shower, which we never even used. Completely unacceptable.Don’t recommend this place at all

The guests were not happy from the start. I had the cleaner go back during day to clean a couple of the sheets that had some hair that wasn’t noticed by the cleaner. Then the guest said one of their kids has a high fever and had to leave early. I was happy to refund the cleaning fees. But next day the new guest had backed up toilets and bath tub. This only happens if someone throws something besides toilet paper into the system. There are big signs over the toilet saying not to. Cost me $400 and headache to get it unplugged for new guest. When I told this guest, he just basically ignored me and gave me this review.

The house was shabby, not well maintained. The washer and dryer were in a storage shed filled with stuff.The septic system backed up during the night. We had only flushed toilet paper. The bathtubs filled with raw sewage and none of the toilets worked. This was repaired late in the afternoon, so the house was unusable for the most of the day. We had to leave that morning so we had access to working bathrooms. I received NO compensation for this gross inconvenience.

Beautifull piece of property on a private community lake in which you will find anything you are looking for: a well stocked kitchen, games, kayak, wood for a bonefire, just name it!! we had a good time and Sam, the owner, was so proactive, helpful and amicable. Thank you :-)

Beautiful lakefront property

We loved our stay at this beautiful lake house. Georgia responded to our messages so fast. She is super accommodating. The property had everything every kid and adult would need to enjoy their time. They had boats, fishing poles, games and lounge areas. The floating trampoline was amazing, I could lie there all day! We had a fire at night and kids enjoyed cooking smores under the stars. We enjoyed fishing on the dock, kayaking, using an assortment of well-maintained boats, lying on the hammock, and al fresco dining with a view of the beautiful lake. Her kitchen is immaculate and fully equipped. We had breakfast on the dock while fishing and watching birds. All the beds were comfortable, including the folding couch bed. We all had a wonderful and relaxing time!

Great location and view, needs updating

When I looked up this property and its reviews I thought it would be the perfect place to stay with my family for the weekend where we came from NY to attend a wedding! Although we made the best of it and had a decent time, I want my review to be clear so that other renters would not be taken by surprise! It is a great location and an even better view, however, when we walked into the house it did not have that clean appearance that we expected from pictures and other reviews. The interior needed a serious update and better cleaning than what we walked into. The drawback was the outdated and well worn furniture, paint, electrical switches and outlets that had some DIY repairs that were dangerous and potential fire hazard. The blinds could certainly be replaced at a minimal cost. The stove which was sting on a stack of books to raise it to the height of the counter could have been done with more appropriate methods. There was no soap in any of the bathrooms however there was shampoo and conditioner. I must admit that when I had questions about the area and check in prior to arriving, the host was very quick to respond. I believe that if this home had some of these upgrades, it would be a great place to stay!

Not as advertised

Overall, the condition of the home was dirty and cluttered; home had no smoke detectors or CO2 detectors. The furniture was dirty and didn’t smell clean,and the kitchen had an old fried food smell to it… some of the small appliances were also dirty. The home has mice… we found one in a trap the first morning there; the bathrooms were in need of a deep cleaning as well… shower curtains were moldy and the floor under 2 toilets was soft/rotting and had evidence of a leak. The furnace filter looks like it hasn’t been replaced in over a year… just generally disappointing. A place on the lake is great, but the home is generally dirty, and for what we paid, we feel very taken advantage of- we have requested a refund from the owners and they have been unresponsive… we will be contacting VRBO directly with our concerns.

This guest recently expressed dissatisfaction, which unfortunately turned their entire stay into a series of complaints. We had placed a mouse trap under the oven after discovering a field mouse in the house. Upon finding the caught mouse, the wife became very irritated. She pointed out various issues with the house, some of which I agreed with, and have since hired a professional cleaner to address them. However, there were a few misunderstandings: - There was a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector that she didn't notice. - The bathroom toilet was neither soft nor rotting, and there was no leak. - Her comments about the smell and dirtiness of the furniture were emotionally exaggerated.
