Cute house in a good location if you plan on spending time on The Strand. Beds are comfy and house is clean. We enjoyed our quick one night stay. Good communication with host.

Bungalow on 27th was the perfect stay for our girls getaway. The house was very clean and the layout was great. We really enjoyed the pool in the backyard. The location is great. Close to everything! Very short uber rides to the strand at night. Would definitely stay here again. The host, Tyler, was great and accommodating.

Great stay

The property was nice. It had three bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. The half bath downstairs was nice. The towels and linens were perfect. We enjoyed the pool. The teens had a great time.

Father's Day Getaway

This was a very comfy cozy home! It had plenty of space and the best AC! I loved that they had tons of bath and beach towels and all the necessary cooking supplies. The balcony off the master bedroom was a sweet touch as well.

Adorable Home

Everything was great. Very cute living area with fun art and lighting. Comfy beds, prefer some better pillows but I usually bring my own pillow. Well stocked and anything you forgot at home, was easily found in the house. 10/10 would/will stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was located central to Galveston - downtown and restaurants, antique shops. Overall, property was in good condition minus a couple of things. 1) shower curtain was dingy and moldy. I took it upon myself to replace it and left a note to the owner. 2) the pool provided, needed some cleaning definitely. Was not able to enjoy. The patio area could've used some maintenance too (furniture and lawn).

Convenient location. The property is overpriced for age and condition. It was advertised as a two bathroom when it is actually only a one and a half bath. This is a big discrepancy when you have 5 people that need to shower. I thought I was paying for two full baths. This was a huge factor in my selection of this property.

Not what we were expecting

We were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations at all — especially given the price point. It’s clearly way over priced. First, the grill was absolutely disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, if not years. One of the bedrooms had a strong moldy smell, and there was visible mildew around all the vents, making the whole top floor smell musty. The fan in the bedroom only had one speed: extra slow, which didn’t help with air circulation or comfort.Before booking, I specifically messaged the host to confirm the pool would be clean, which he assured us it would be but when we arrived, it was cloudy and dirty, clearly not maintained. There was also dog poop all over the lawn, so the kids couldn’t even play outside safely.Inside, the carpet on the stairs was so filthy we couldn’t go barefoot. It was probably the grossest carpet I’ve ever seen to be honest. To top it off, the kitchen towels had hair all over them, which was really gross. The internet kept cutting out, and when I reached out to the host, he responded with “bummer” and claimed it had never happened before so we had to wait 30 minutes each time for the whole thing to reboot. Sleep was impossible because the house is located right by a busy road and we heard every single car that passed through the night.Overall, this place was massively overpriced for the condition it was in. It’s also listed as 2 baths but it’s 1 full. Don’t recommend.

I regret to say that this could be further than the truth. We go our absolute furthest and take the cleaning and upkeep of my home very seriously. We have a dedicated cleaning team that comes in after every stay, and I personally checked on the house the same day this guest checked in. With respect to location, the proximity to popular Galveston spots is one of the best features of this house, however the street itself is a quiet and residential street that has never had any noise issues. With respect to the internet, it is true we have not had issues before - perhaps there was a brief outage, but don’t believe that warrants a negative review. We take pride in our charming beach bungalow and all of its character. It’s not clear what this guest was actually looking for, but it’s unfortunate she felt the need to tear down and misrepresent the house due to her misguided expectations.

Ran out of toilet paper only partial rolls in each rest room with 1/3 roll extra found….a toaster would have been nice….t.v.’s in each room for kids…pool wasn’t set up but offered in listing.

Hello Juan, Thank you for the feedback. However, I would have gladly assisted you should you have reached out regarding the location of additional toilet paper and toaster. We are well stocked at the bungalow. I am not sure this warrants any sort of negativity for future guests. In regards to the pool, it has been in the 50s out regularly. We do not set up the pool when the outside water temperature is below 75 degrees.
