Home was clean and comfortable. Bathroom updated, all appliances worked well. We did have difficulties with the electric lock and the Host left the country without a backup host, leaving us locked out, causing me to crawl through an unlocked window. Host was apologetic and realized he had misprogrammed the lock and removed our code by accident. While the house is old, there is a tenant above that could be heard at times. Nice yard space but only minimal lawn maintenance and no outside seating. While there were some challenges, we appreciated the space and especially being pet friendly. We would stay there again.

Very nice home

This was a cute home located near downtown Huntley. The house was clean upon arrival with plenty of space for our group. It was quite inside and you couldn’t hear passing cars or neighbors. I would stay here again!

This rental was much more than i expected. Its spacious and cozy. Its within walking distance of the Huntley square that has restaurants. The neighborhood feels safe. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

Charm, Comfort and Convenience

You can't miss the charm of this Victorian home with all the original woodwork, including a pocket door, the stained glass windows in the living room and the leaded glass window in the foyer. Combine this with large rooms and comfortable beds. Then there is the convenience of the location. Only two short blocks to downtown Huntley and the town square. Huntley has concerts, a farmers market and arts & crafts in the square on various days/nights. The square is surrounded by restaurants, bars and quaint shops. All this just a short walk from the house. If you want more, shopping and more restaurants are just a short drive away. Dean and Amelissa are wonderful hosts. We rented this home for four weeks. Each week we would receive a text from Dean making sure that everything was going well and that we didn't need anything.
