Close to Beautiful Manchester Center, Vermont.
The apartment is located on 33 private acres next to a babbling brook that spills into the nearby Metawee River. Located in exclusive Dorset Hollow and only 20 minutes from Manchester center, which is a bustling town with many restaurants and retail shopping outlets. Construction style is a Vintage-Adirondack glass and timber frame with lots of windows and an elevated deck looking out on to the brook. The apartment sits at the end of a well-maintained meandering country dirt road. The apartment has a modern wood burning insert, Smart TV, highspeed Fiber Optic WI-FI, compact washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and modern bathroom with spacious tile shower. Nestle in front of the fireplace during winter or sit out on the elevated deck in summer and enjoy the wood burning outdoor Chiminea and enjoy sounds of the babbling brook the hoot owls, and enjoy beautiful sunsets and starry nights. Hike, walk or bike on nearly isolated dirt roads in "The Hollow" Escape to the serene and picturesque beauty of Vermont with this short-term rental located in the pristine countryside. Experience the tranquility of the Vermont lifestyle with a convenient location.

The apartment has a queen bed and twin bed, and is ideal for a romantic getaway for couples or 2 friends looking for a quick Vermont get away. There are also plenty of fishing, golf and skiing or snowboarding opportunities nearby. There are also nearby swimming opportunities at the famous Dorset Quarry or Emerald Lake state park. We do allow well behaved pets and we are pet friendly, and are dog owners. We do ask, as a house rule, that pets be kept off beds and furniture because of cleaning issues. No pet cats are allowed. There is a one-time pet fee for dogs of $75 per pet per stay that should be paid at the time of booking.

This is our second stay at the cabin. We love it! We love the astetics, location, and the family agrees.The children love the tree in the middle of the cabin. We come once yearly to visit grandchildren and will rent the cabin, if available, on future visits.

Great Experience

The carriage house was a great experience. Clean and cozy (but not small). River running just outside provided great calming sound throughout and otherwise very quiet and at the very back of a wonderful area. Hiking trails are walkable directly from the property as well. Dorset is a wonderful area and close enough to Manchester that we drive in daily. Would highly recommend this place.

Clean and charming

We had a very nice stay, the place is cozy and charming, exceptionally clean, easy to access, and had all the amenities we could've expected for a weekend away. It's comfortable and clearly cared for, and the kitchen is stocked with tools. Neighborhood is lovely and within easy commute to several ski areas. The property is very beautiful as well, though based on the photos and description we were expecting a more secluded siting. The unit is the second floor of a detached garage, located 20-30 yards behind the main house and accessed by a shared driveway. We had no interaction with the owners and it wasn't a problem but worth noting

Hidden Bliss

We loved the carriage house! Everything about it was perfect. We loved sitting and watching movies while the fireplace roared before we would go on our adventures. It was the perfect spot for the two of us and couldn’t get enough of it.

We couldn't have asked for a better location or better accommodations. This place had everything we needed and wanted. We enjoyed the fire place every evening and the trails during the day. We were impressed with everything down to the quality of the plates. We can't wait to come back.

This is the perfect cabin in Dorset VT! The views on the way in are spectacular. Hiking right out the back door and cozy natural wood experience on the inside. I will definitely be returning to the same location every October!

Tree House

Absolutely loved the studio in the woods and the cabin decor. A tree trunk in the center of the room added to the ambiance. I often judge a rental by the kitchen amenities and the studio had it all. Sharp knives are a rarity and I was pleasantly surprised. Had we not been visiting family, we would have hung out at the studio and walked the trails on the property. Can't say enough good things about the property, and will definitely book when visiting family again. This is by far our favorite VRBO.

Lovely mountain cabin

We adored this place! Such a peaceful getaway while still close to town. We (stupidly) did not save the access instructions which was only an issue as there is no cell service while there. Thankfully I was able to pull up the email anyways but just a heads up for those visiting! Would 110% come back!

Cutest cabin, best location

We loved staying at this wonderful property at the end of Dorset Hollow. It’s truly in a magical location right by the forest, a creek, and walking distance to Dorsets hiking trails. We even heard a barred owl at night! The property is private, quiet, and truly has everything you need. Check in was super easy, but I would encourage guests to have the info downloaded before heading into Dorset Hollow where there is no phone service. Also, keep in mind there is no air conditioning- although open windows let in a nice breeze in the summer heat.

Off the beaten path, with breath-taking views

Near the end of the road (and well off of it) and at the base of Dorset Peak, this studio was an excellent spot for a quiet getaway. The main house is within view, but only as much as an average neighbor would be. It's one room, but it's above a three+ stall garage and PLENTY big enough for a full kitchen, dining table, two large beds, a wood burning fireplace and sitting area. The last three miles to the house have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's 10 minutes to the main road, but right there is a GREAT bakery/breakfast restaurant. Manchester is near enough for dinner, shopping, etc if you don't find something you like in Dorset. The place was clean and stocked and the owner was communicative and helpful. We'd go back and would recommend it for others.

Lovely cabin in the woods

It was great staying here in Dorset, VT. Brad was very welcoming and responsive. The location was great for skiing at Stratton and Mount Snow. The neighbors were friendly and there was lots of space in the area to adventure. Would definitely stay again!
