Sophia was great! Very welcoming and took care of us nicely. We’ve stayed in many home rentals and this was one of the best. Cozy home, great location close to where we wanted to go: Silver Falls, Eugene for a Ducks game, Wine Tasting, and the coast. Thanks Sophia. Really enjoyed The Patch.

Fantastic

Really loved the house. It was super cute, clean, very roomy. Favorite part was the quiet room as i call it, the massage chair and the the back yard where they had fresh stuff to pick and eat. The owner was incredible and answered all questions. I could go on, but only have so many words i can use. Absolutely would rent again.

This was a great property for our family of 4. Plenty of room and the kids got their separate rooms. Cozy and clean, this was a great home base to for our daily excursions. Canon Beach and Portland are easily reached within an 1.5 hour drive and are spectacular sights. Downtown McMinnville is a great spot to window shop and dine. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great stay!

Sophia communicated throughout the process and was very helpful. The home was well furnished and clean. The linens were quality and plentiful. The home is located near wineries and grocery store was a few minutes away. This was a great stay with no issues.

Beautiful Home!!

We had such an enjoyable stay at this home. We were there as the result of family tragedy, and this home gave us a beautiful place to relax and rest as we supported our family. Sophia was so kind and easy to communicate with. Our stay was made enjoyable by her efforts both inside and outside of the home, and we literally couldn’t have asked for better.

The third issue and the most inconvenient was the smoke alarm chirping in the middle of the night. All four of us were awakened at 1:45 A.M. by the chirping of a smoke alarm with a low battery. We found and could reach the wired alarm in the hallway and removed the battery. The alarm in the bedroom was indicating a low battery and the alarm was still beeping. But because it was on a high ceiling we could not reach it. We looked around the house for a ladder and could not find one. We checked the house book for a maintenance contact and found a phone number for Lucas who we called; and he told us that he has not been in contact with Sophia, the home’s owner and host, in over two years. We then tried Sophia at the number in the home book and the number shown online in the VRBO listing. Both went to voice mail.We called the local fire department non-emergency number. They were at the house in under 15 minutes. They came in, evaluated the situation, then they brought in a ladder and batteries. The fire department told us that the smoke detectors were at their end of life and needed to be replaced. It was about 4:00 A.M. when the fire department left.
The fire department solved the smoke alarm issue.

The Patch

The Patch was conveniently located near our local family members. It was a clean property with plenty of space for adults to relax together. The layout of the house was nice and had everything needed to make use of the coffee bar and laundry. The secondary bathroom did have an issue with the lights not working upon our arrival. Unfortunately, it took until our last night there for this to be fixed, but Sophia stayed in contact with us through the whole fix, which was appreciated. Even with the electrical mishap, we would definitely stay here again! The location to our local family and the wineries made this the perfect choice for our visit.
