Cozy and welcoming little apartment. Great location, close to a lot, but still quiet and relaxing. The hosts are very nice and quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely recommend.

Good place to stay for the renaissance festival

Stayed here for two nights to see the renaissance festival in Sterling. It was an easy check in/out process. Janet was very responsive if I had a question. Would recommend.

Great hospitality in a great location

Great little apartment... with all your needs! It was close enough to my Dad's for the July 4th weekend. In a great location, so easy to get to main street (Rt. 3). So far, best stocked VRBO I've stayed in! The electronic door locks were so easy... no worries!

Great place less than 30 min from everything

The house was very clean and the entry instructions were simple, it’s a great set up for an extended stay and it’s conveniently located between Oswego and Syracuse. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. If I get an opportunity to go back up there, I would certainly stay with them again.

Great place to stay!

Great place! This stay was wonderful, place was perfect, cozy, and had everything needed and more. Nice beds and close for our commute and had the option for a clean with fresh linens in between weeks of stay. Never had that as and offer before so definitely was an added bonus. All in all very happy about this stay and would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Quick 2 day overnight. The place was clean, quaint and easy to get to. The owners were great to work with. Loved that the apartment had a key code so no trying to connect to get or return keys. Nice restaurants in walking distance too.

It was a great space and had a good kitchen area for cooking. One thing that would put this over the top would be a cutting board and a dish drainer. The bed was so comfortable and the linens soft. The neighbors were quiet with little to no street traffic. Great location.

Good stay

It was a nice little apartment. The people that live up front were very nice. I enjoyed talking to them. The bed was a little small, as im a tall person. The bathroom window needs better coverage. At night with the light on you can see in there. Other than those little things i would definitely stay there again. Much better than the local hotel

Not for us

The host was very nice. However, the property wasn’t what we expected. It smelled like old cigarette smoke (to which I’m allergic) and the paint was peeling. There was food left in the fridge and freezer which we thought was odd. However, Janet said that they leave it for the customers. We didn’t know that nor would we have eaten it. We couldn’t even stay one night because of my allergy, and they refunded 1/2 of our cost. Also, the window AC unit did not get cold.

Clean and cozy stay

I stumbled upon this gem of a single-bedroom apartment amidst a frenzy of inflated hotel prices due to nearby graduations. What a stroke of luck! The place was clean and cozy, perfect for my family. With my young adult sons arriving in their cars laden with college belongings, the ample driveway space provided a sense of security, unlike leaving vehicles in a hotel parking lot overnight. The hostess had clearly put thought and care into the space, with fresh décor, new linens, and a delightful fruit basket greeting us upon arrival. The kitchen was a pleasant surprise, stocked with an array of spices and essentials, making meal prep a breeze. Overall, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a warm welcome.

Not great. Unit is in a house converted to apartment building. Entry is poorly lit. Space is reasonably clean, but a bit run down. Hair and toothpaste spit in the sink. Fridge and freezer were full of random food, drinks and condiments from previous occupants. Odd. Heat was scarce - max temp I got the room to was 67. Unsecured floormat in the shower almost made me slip. Towels were old and random. No headboard, space between the wall and bed had lots of dirt, hair and other junk from previous occupants. Don't drop your phone! Bed and bedding were awful. The worst part? VERY noisy neighbors. You'll hear every word from the occupants of the front apartment (shared wall with bedroom), and every footstep of the occupants upstairs. Upstairs unit shares entry with the rental unit, so you get to hear them walking up and down the stairs each time. Slept horribly. Host communication was good, but I definitely would never stay here again. Price if lodging of any kind in this area is way more expensive than it should be, so I'm betting you'll always strike out at sub-200/nt properties.
