Detail:
The Cocoon is a 30O sq ft dome with 14’ ceilings. Inside you will find a loft with a queen size bed (which requires a short climb up a secured ladder), living area and fully equipped kitchenette. Your private bathroom is located a short walk away and has a shower with rainfall shower head, toilet and sink/vanity. The spacious deck is outfitted with a BBQ grill, seating, firepit and a soaking tub.

Amenities: We provide tons of extras so you can pack light. All linens/towels are provided. You will also find coffee+tea, creamer, spices, oils and condiments in the kitchen. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash are provided in the bathroom.

(An extensive list of what is provided and amenities will be sent 10 days before check in to help you pack light.)

Pet Policy:
One Dog Only/ Pet Fee $50
Please use provided sheets to cover couch if dog goes on furniture. This is to help with allergies of future guests!
Waste bags are provided and please clean up after your pet!
We gladly accept any breed of Well Behaved dog, however, excessive barking or disturbance of other guests on the property can lead to immediate removal with no refund!

WIFI:
We do have Wi-Fi (though no cell service) but we strongly encourage guests to disconnect during their stay at Rooted Domes. Here you will find a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just BE. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding forest and indulge your senses with an array of engaging activities to enhance your stay, including games, puzzles, coloring books, musical instruments, yoga mats, and much more!

Other Guests:
There is a second Dome on the property and the domes are orientated for the most privacy. The domes/guests share the parking area, the pathway to the site and access to the creek and forest. Please observe a quiet time (low music) between 9pm and 8am so everyone can enjoy the sounds of the forest!

Perfect Calm Getaway

Property blew us away! From the wooden walkway to get there, to the patio area, we were WOWED the whole time. So many little details went into this property and we were so grateful to spend our weekend there! Highly recommend.

The most relaxing and tranquil place I have ever visited in my life.

I have never felt more relaxed and willing to just let the outside world go. From watching the deer in the morning to the stars at night it was perfect. My most favorite part of all ... the soaking tub!

Serene escape full of rest and relaxation

We had a wonderful, quiet relaxing couple of days in the cocoon. My daughter loved all the games and coloring and exploring she could do and I loved being able to sit still and read in such a beautiful, comfortable place. I was looking for a unique experience and this was it!

THE Ultimate relaxing get away in Ohio.

Megan’s sense of detail to every need you could want was done in the dome. Extremely clean, calming, with unique items to see, read, smell, touch and experience. Unlimited hot water was huge. Loved the outside bath!! I will return again to stay in the other dome. Nature, quiet and the best unplug get away ever.

We want to make this our annual retreat, what a joy this place was!

The dome and bathroom were extremely clean and well appointed. We felt extremely cozy and were totally enchanted by all the small and thoughtful details. Both of us felt our inner artists come alive. The tub was so comfortable and the few of falling leaves during the day and stars at night was very beautiful. The property is large and we enjoyed hiking along the creek. We cannot wait to return. This is such a perfect love nest!

The Cocoon was exactly as advertised online just as beautiful in person. The host was awesome . I received quick responses to several questions I had prior to our visit. I appreciate her accommodating our dog, The amenities inside The Coocoon were fabulous. I didn’t want to leave, in fact I teared up a little as we were pulling away.

A perfect weekend connecting with my partner without the distractions of modern life.

We loved how easy it was to unplug and be present with each other. Having board games and other options present made it easy to unplug. The dome itself was clean and cozy and we loved the loft bed to be able to view the sky at night. The bathroom was just a short walk away and was cute and clean. We also appreciated the amenities offered to allow for lighter packing including the aforementioned games, toiletries, speaker for music, kitchen essentials, etc. Overall we loved it and will be back.

The outside bathtub was amazing the view off of the deck was absolutely stunning and the loft bed was literally everything we loved the fit pit we used it throughout our whole stay

My "neighborhood" is the Forest! I share this space with deer, coyotes, bobcat, birds, frogs and so many other critters! I love being able to breath in the fresh air and watch the seasons change. The Forest provides the perfect place to slow down and look at life through kids eyes again! Search for tiny mushrooms and wildflowers, throw rocks in the creek, turn up rocks and see what lives underneath and turn the clouds into any shape or being imaginable!

If you would like to go down a little rabbit hole, search Geodesic domes and Sacred Geometry and its effect on the mind!

If that's a little too much, the simple fact is that we are so use to square and rectangular shapes in this world, that just being in a different shape seems to awaken the mind and bring a sense of awe and delight to your stay!
