The Turtles Nest, West is a renovated and modern beachfront, 1 bedroom, 1 & 1/2 half bath condo located on the 2nd floor at The Inn at Dauphin Island, over looking 2 swimmings pools & The Gulf of Mexico. A King size bed, 2 twin bunks, & a custom 4 person sofa. Seating for 4 at the bar along with updated décor throughout the unit makes this the perfect place for couples, a small family or group of friends. The balcony overlooks both pools & has an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico. No expense has been spared for this clean, convenient, & comfortable vacation stay. A security deposit and rental agreement are required with this property as well as a cleaning fee. The security deposit will be a pre-authorization placed on your credit card that you will provide when filling out the rental agreement.

First, we loved our condo! The decor was fresh and “beachy”. We felt at home immediately. I am picky about clean into the corners and clean vents. ( Unbelievable how many times vents are fuzzy little bears “Ahhhhh
.Choooo!) Access to the gorgeous beach and Gulf via a boardwalk that preserves the native grasses was easy with beach set-ups available by separate vendors. I highly recommend the condo and working with Jennifer, our landlady, she responded quickly at all hours, to my questions.

Overall a very nice condo and just the right size for a couple. It is more of a hike to the shoreline than I expected, though. Communication with our host was great and with her blessing, we were able to check in a little early. A good but too short stay.

We loved this beautifully decorated condo! The balcony had great views of the pool and beach and ships and oil rigs in the distance. The walk to the water is long, and the beach had lots of sand bars and tide pools, but that’s just part of a barrier island that’s always changing. We saw dolphins playing close by as we were at the beach our last morning. The home was clean (except one forgotten item in the freezer), and the towels were great. We were a bit disappointed that there were only two chairs at the table on the patio, since there isn’t a dining table inside and the bar stools were a bit high for young children. The pictures showed four. The table was also pushed against an outside storage closet door that wouldn’t stay shut without it. Overall, we had a lovely time. The kids loved the games and books in the home.

Beautiful Condo

The condo was beautiful. The soothing beachy color scheme was apparent throughout the condo. The view from the balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed with coffee in the mornings. The Inn itself is well maintained including the boardwalk from the Inn to the Beach. The overall feeling to the condo and to the Inn is quiet, family friendly and very peaceful which is what my husband and I were looking for. Great place. We will go back.

Great location. The room was clean, classy, and very comfortable. The facility was well-kept and conveniently close to everything. Beach access was just steps outside the door, which made the stay even better. The owner/operator was easy to work with, and everything was handled smoothly—our expectations were met and even exceeded.

This was a great little condo! Everything was very well kept and spacious for our family of 4, kids are 3 and 6. The view was beautiful and everything functioning properly. Beds were OK, it’s hard to find a bed that’s just right. The couch was fine, it wasn’t the most comfortable but we didn’t spend the most time on it. Lobby was always clean, smelled great. Elevators worked timely and locking/unlocking the room was great. Appliances worked correctly too.Some personal negatives for me but it wouldn’t impact me recommending this place to anyone. - the walk to the actual beach, is ROUGH. The sand is also extremely hot in the middle of the day. My two kids were bravely struggling to get to the boardwalk. - the pools are not chilled. I know this isn’t super common but it’s something to think about. It was probably bath water temperature, 90. - would recommend a curved shower curtain rod- couch that allows for some extended lounging.

Perfect Place for a Beautiful Beach Stay

This condo is adoravle, clean, cozy, and convenient. Works great for a family with kids. The host is awesome, very easy to communicate with, and responds to messages very quickly. This is a great becah if you like fishing. And from what i saw this seems to be a go to spot for families. Very calm and relaxing vibe.

Fantastic little condo

This condo was in a cool little complex that was very clean and very peaceful. Even during peak times one of the pools was empty or close to it. The staff were nice and all the people there pretty laid back. The walk was a little bit further than "right on the beach" as we usually do but only but a minute or two. The view was on the way and definitely not long enough to downgrade the experience. Just keep that in mind if you're carrying a bunch of stuff. The beach was very spacious and unlike Destin, Panama City, Ormand, or Gulf Shores you could easily get chairs right on the beach with no one within 10 feet of you. We did have problems with the rental chairs company as they messed up our week long order almost every day. They also setup late but did pick up late too. The condo itself was very clean. No sand, mold, bugs, or gross things encountered. The condo is only 1 1/2 bath just to make sure people don't think it is two full baths. It was bigger than expected but still a one family condo with everything you need to get started relaxin' on the beach.

Great Family Time

We all loved staying here. The beach view from the balcony is awesome and we enjoyed it a lot. The beach is just a shot walk from the Condo. It has both warm and cold water pools. Kids enjoyed both. Restaurants are in walkable distance and food also good there. Condo is pretty clean as listed and has all things you needed.

Nicely appointed condo

We enjoyed the quiet Condo. The Gulf was not far at all. Just a short walk right out of the main floor of the building. Everything we needed was in the Condo. We hope to come back and stay longer.

Great November Getaway 4 Us!

We wrapped up our stay at Turtles Nest, West today and have really enjoyed our time in Alabama! Jennifer is a great host, and this unit is laid out and decorated perfectly for an ocean get away.

Dauphin Island Time

Lovely condo for a beach stay. Just the right size for one, but would be great for couple or couple + kid too. Location perfect (restaurants, shopping, beach, birds, pools). Lots of extra touches to make things nice. Only suggestions would be to add a side chair with ottoman in the living area, and to have detailed instructions on TV operation (remotes, Direct TV versus Vizeo, for both sets).
