log cottages and 3 two-bedroom tiny cottages - each offering a cozy stay

Great stay.

Everything lived up to photos on the website and the owners were prompt with answers when we texted them questions. When we arrived in the area Adam answered the phone right away when I got the directions mixed up.

10/10 for this gem of a property!! Extremely clean, well maintained property, lots of outdoor activities included on-site, and excellent communication. The river is beautiful. My husband and I came here for a getaway which was perfect BUT we cannot wait to return with our two kids who will LOVE this place!! We're planning another trip with friends for next summer already!

Cute, brand new, overwhelming smells from house

Super cute and brand new! Great for a couple or family. It’s brand new, and it was unfortunately a little smelly. The oven was brand new, and needs to be used for a while to get rid of the chemical smell it off gasses during use. It’s also all brand new pine inside, and that left quite a bit of smell. Last, the beach does not go all the way to the water, which makes getting into the lake impossible.

Regarding the oven, while it is new, it has been used quite a few times, and we were unable to duplicate the smell after you left. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. As for the pine interior, since the log cabin is newly built, the natural wood scent is still present but should mellow out over time. We appreciate your understanding. For access to the river, there is a ladder off the pier that leads directly into the water, and a designated swim area, which is marked on the map in your welcome guide. This area allows for easy walk-in access to the river and is also where the kayaks are launched. These features are highlighted in our pictures as well. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back soon for another great stay!

Beautiful place, would stay again!!!

We loved everything about the cabin. It was beautiful inside and out. We loved that it had a full size fridge with a freezer, a stove with an oven, a microwave and a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. It made our meal preparations easier with these options. The property management team was onsite building additional buildings, but they were not a distraction for us. They did stop and ask how we were enjoying our stay when we were on a walk of the property. They were very friendly. We did not get to enjoy the activities at the beach due to the weather, but it had a beautiful view and can see that being a huge asset in the summer. I personally would have preferred an additional light in the bathroom for the shower. I would also prefer some blinds or curtains for all the windows, especially with people building on site and local homes nearby, but these are not things that will deter us from booking again. The hosts were easy to communicate with and were very friendly. They reached out during our stay to see how our trip was going and to offer some itinerary ideas if we were in need of things to do. Our only trouble was with gps. The address is in Porterfield, but our gps was pulling the location under Marinette. We brought our own firewood (not our first mini vaca lol) but there is a gentlemen about a mile or so down the road selling tons of firewood.We will definitely be booking this location again in the future! Highly recommend!
