Sitting atop 5 luscious acres, The James offers a fresh take on the Hocking Hills cabin experience. Featuring 4 bedrooms with queen size beds and 2 baths to house up to 8 guests, luxurious amenities, and breathtaking views, The James has everything your party needs for the perfect getaway.

The James is dedicated to the memory of my late brother James Michael Fields, and our love for the great outdoors. As children James, myself, and our youngest brother Jalen spent the majority of our time outside where we would camp and fish with our grandfather or just make up fun outdoor adventures. It is outside where we strengthened our bonds as brothers and developed an appreciation for the natural world. My brother James was a family man to his core, and The James is a perfect getaway to enjoy time with your family while exploring the great outdoors.

This stay was everything I needed plus some!

My stay was refreshing in many ways- I wanted to get away and disconnect...I was able to do that and more during this time away. The place was as good as advertised! The design and layout was impressive...with the subtle Buckeye infusion throughout the cabin, it felt like home! I would recommend this place for anyone looking to escape our busy world and lives for a moment.

We stayed at the Buckeye Box for a girls weekend and had the absolute best time! It was honestly the perfect house and setting for what we needed. We loved the modern amenities and the remote location. I’ve already recommended this house to several friends!

Beautiful, unique stay on a beautiful hill amongst the trees!

The Buckeye Box was a stay unlike any other. The container home was modern, spacious, and very clean. It seems like every detail was thought of and we enjoyed inside as much as what was offered outside. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation! Definitely take advantage of the hot tub and hammocks!

It’s clear how much thought went into The Buckeye Box and all the details did not go unnoticed! My friends and I had the best girls trip. We loved the decor, the nespresso coffee, the comfy beds, the entire outdoor area. Everything was fantastic! Can’t wait to visit again!

Enjoyable Family Stay in Hocking Hills

The Buckeye Box was very clean and well-appointed. The owner was great to work with when storms in the area necessitated a last minute change to our itinerary. Very responsive. Because of the weather we spent much of our time indoors for our two day trip, and our family of four enjoyed the large living/common area for meals, games, movies, reading, etc. Location was close to the main Hocking Hills attractions.

Beautiful property with so many fun surprises and plenty of room to sleep! great experience!

Gorgeous place! Great attention to detail, clear instructions, clean, renovated/updated. THIS is what you hope your place would be like when you arrive. Definitely on our return list someday. Very quiet and beautiful views all around. There are so many hiking trails and outdoor activities! Old Mans Cave is a quick drive. Thank you for hosting!

We loved our time here!

This is a great property. We loved all the amenities, inside and outside; beds were comfortable. We had one small hiccup (the previous renters took all of the generously provided coffee pods) so we did not have any coffee. The owners were extremely responsive, ordering and delivering more coffee right away! Having not been to the area before, we didn't realize that to get to most places, you have a 20-30+ minute drive but we quickly adjusted to that. Great place!

Unique one of a kind place to stay in Ohio!

It doesn't get much better than this. A secluded, modern container style cabin that you will love staying in! Hot tub and fire pit area are killer and are lit by so many string lights. 4 bedrooms and big beautiful windows in the living area that let in so much light. And it's only 10 mins from some of the best hiking & natural areas in the state. If you're looking for different, unique, then here you go!

Amazing space and very peaceful

We really appreciated all of the detail that was put into this incredibly different space. Although it is not the usual cabin you find in Hocking, it is not one to pass by. There were 4 bedrooms and 2 very large bathrooms that fit the 5 of us comfortably. Even though it snowed a bit, we were still able to enjoy the large hot tub! It is on a secluded piece of property but close to all of the sights in Hocking. Most were able 15 minutes away. We will definitely be back.

Exceeded our expectations!

I will start by saying “Wow”! Everything about this property is amazing. There was so much thought into every detail. The coffee/tea bar was exquisite. The surprise of the trees lighting up when we were in the hot tub was such a thoughtful touch. We did have a small issue with the cooling system. I sent an email and it was addressed promptly (great host!) We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning! You will not be disappointed with your stay at the Buckeye Box!!!
