Would not recommend this unit. Stained carpet, old uncomfortable furniture, bathtub calking needs help. Not worth the price. Bed was comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Galvestonian pool, beach and etc. were lovely.

Love the Galvestonian, but left a little disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed in the unit. Sliding glass door wouldn’t open to the balcony. Wifi password didn’t work, told management about it, but nothing was fixed during our stay.

For a last minute booking it was okay. Direct walk to the beach, and easy check in and check out. But this unit definitely needs updated. The bathtub wouldn’t drain so you had standing water to your ankles. And this unit had disgusting carpet that felt gummy. So we wore shoes the entire time. And we had some weird brown stuff smeared on our wall so that wasn’t pleasant. And you were unable to turn the air down past 70 and this unit stayed HOT!!!! But like I said for a last minute booking it was ok.

Reviewer Comments: The condo would have been fine except for the dirty rug and no space for clothing despite a locked armoire and dresser in the bdrm. The other problem was the extreme winds for the 11 days we were there.

Vacation Refresh

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Needed a mental break, so we took a trip to Galveston. Had a wonderful time relaxing on the beach complete with lounge chairs & an umbrella, eating seafood, going on a dolphin tour, riding the ferry, and cruising the Seawall. We stayed in a condominium at The Galvestonian on the east end. It sits right on the beach and has a private bridge over the sand dunes to the sandy beach. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Our room was nice and had been updated with the latest kitchen appliances, a very comfortable king sized bed with pristine white linens, and lovely furniture throughout. We also enjoyed the balcony which had two comfortable chairs and two side tables. The staff was very helpful and seemed truly glad to be there. We will definitely return to The Galvestonian on our next trip to Galveston!
