This was amazing! A perfect nature-centric getaway with a very warm stove! (We were sweating at some points!) So comfortable and just close enough while also removed from the city. We enjoyed going to Dovetail, OMC, and wandering the little shops in downtown.

Great Yurt Experience

The yurt was clean, tidy, and stayed very warm while the brisk fall air whirled through the surrounding trees. The owners ensured we had everything we needed, they are lovely to rent from.

This was such a cute spot! It was cozy, a short distance from town, and had everything we needed. The hosts were super responsive, helpful, and friendly. It was a great option for enjoying the outdoors without too much driving. The woodstove kept the space as warm as we wanted it, even though it was chilly fall weather. The mattress and pillows could use a light upgrade, but everything else was absolutely perfect!

Duluth Getaway

Very scenic and perfect place to unwind in Duluth. Elena was had great communication and provides great instructions for the yurt. Also, fall colors is the perfect backdrop for the yurt and the experience. Would recommend staying here!

Relaxation

The yurt is probably 250ft from the main property. And the property is about 10 minutes from Duluth. The owner and her wife are very hospitable. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, this is your place!

Most excellent! I was in Duluth for a couple of days skiing and I don't like staying in motels. I was by myself and I enjoy the adventure. It got down below 0F at night and i had to add a couple of pieces of wood to the stove in the middle of the night to stay cozy. The bed had about a foot thick down blanket that was more than enough. Staying in a yurt is like camping, you have to boil water to sponge bath and for doing dishes. The outhouse was a short walk but what a design and well built.Excellent communication with the host and she had the place warmed up for me when I arrived, nice.You had to snowshoe in and out so you get pretty good at putting them on and off.A small shovel for cleaning out the ashes would be helpful.

We loved it!

We've never stayed in a yurt before and weren't sure what we were in for. It was awesome! So peaceful and so secluded. Listening to the birds, the wind through the tree, and rain overnight was just an incredible experience. We recommend and will hopefully come back to the Fiddlehead Farm Yurt again some day. Would love to visit in the winter. The stove would keep the yurt nice and warm. We didn't cook in the yurt but I'd highly recommend bringing at least some cookie dough next time. It has a really neat oven. Don't hesitate, it's really cool!

Horrible

I arrived, carried bags to yurt, I was covered in mosquitos. They were in the yurt and all over me. I got bit between my fingers, on my knuckles, in my hair, in 1 ear, behind my ears, on the neck, hands, legs, foot; itched for days. I took my bags to the car and called the friend of the hosts who was taking care of it and told her I couldn't stay. One of the owners called me. She said they'd had more than usual rain and there were a lot of mosquitos. I told her everything and said could I get at least 1/2 my rent back since it wasn't her fault or mine that I couldn't stay and she said yes. It's been 12 months and I've not received any refund and not even a call. I tried to make a different VRBO reservation, but their policy didn't allow that. I ended up staying at a motel in 10 Harbor. This was my first trip to Minnesota, I didn't know anyone or any businesses, it was Saturday, 1400, I was tired from a long drive, so my vacation was off to a rough start. Toward me the hosts were not honorable or fair-the co-owners word means nothing to me; I don't like to say bad about anyone but it's been12 months. I didn't complain to VRBO because I trusted the co-owner and waited and waited and waited.
