We needed a place to stay for a wedding in Gahana and the reception at The Ohioan so the location was perfect. We also needed somewhere we could bring our dogs. The fenced in backyard was perfect for that!

Everything was clean, the house was prompt with their messages, plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. It was well okay for all the places we were looking to visit during our stay.

Our stay in Columbus, Ohio was exactly what we were looking for. We needed space and a place to have our home cooked dinners. Really good kitchen items, pots and pans, dishes, coffee mugs, etc. We were close to the bowling lanes in Columbus which is where we spent both days. Nice quiet neighborhood and sidewalks for taking walks. We highly recommend Shelley and Derek's home away from home. They were easy to reach and got back to us right away.

We enjoyed our stay in Columbus for our granddaughter's OSU graduation. The Stadium was within walking distance...bonus. The property owners were prompt in responding to questions, and the property was very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend booking with Shelley & Derek.

Short Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family! It was a lovely home and made for such a great stay. There was some unique art in one of the bedrooms that I thoroughly enjoyed. The hosts were wonderful!

The house is big with four private bedrooms upstairs, comfortable beds, and clean. We had everything we needed! We were close to the water park and zoo, which was our weekend destination. There was a grocery store a mile away, and upscale shopping 10 minutes away. Most importantly, this property is pet friendly.

The house was definitely lived in. The bath towels looked like the were from the rag bag. The beds were comfortable. This was the first-time we ever stayed in a house that was a primary residence. I missed that statement in the information about the house. I won't make that mistake again. The owners were responsive to questions.

This is a ridiculous review from someone who admittedly didnt read the listing. She began asking questions about that fact the day before her stay. To then penalize us for data that is clearly in the listing (the third sentence in the listing) speaks to the kind of person we we were dealing with. RE towels- Every room is provided 2 perfect large towels. We then have a large bin of backups and some of those are not perfect. We have NEVER gotten a bad review on our home, and this one was NOT warranted.

Great Gathering Place

What sets this home apart from others is that it is not owned by a corporation so there are a lot of personal touches thorough out the house. Check in and out was easy and the house was very clean and comfortable. The screened in porch was an added bonus. Two families totaling 9 adults shared the home and there was plenty of beds, bathrooms, space and parking. The location is convenient. The immediate neighborhood is nice and quiet. All of our communication with Derek and Shelley was electronic and they were quick to respond. As we had zero issues with the house, our communications were limited to check in and check out. We would stay again.

We were very pleased with our stay. The house had everything that we needed for a relaxing two night stay with our entire family. Kitchen is very well stocked. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking for our three vehicles. It was a nice central location to the Barrett-Jackson Auction at the fairgrounds and the Columbus Zoo. My one suggestion would be to move your audio receiver in the living room off the floor. We had 4 boys under five in the house and we were constantly worried that they might run into it. Overall, we had a very nice stay and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

We stayed in this lovely home for a week with 3 families (6 adults and 3 kids) and enjoyed the surrounding Columbus attractions. We enjoyed the zoo, waterpark, Botanical gardens, Nature parks, bike trails and many other activities. We enjoyed the home as our central meeting location. We brought an 8 ft folding table and 4 chairs to set up in the living room for more eating space and board game time in the evenings. We had a wonderful, busy week. Our hosts were very helpful in setting us this busy fun-filled week.
