Firstly, the guest ignored the check-in instructions that are provided within the app including all door codes, instructions to enter, etc. After the guest messaged, he was provided the information within 4 minutes and entered the property. When I spoke to the guest, he seemed very drunk and was making absolute crazy statements that there were dogs and people inside the property. The property is very secure, has dead-bolt locks on all entry doors that work with the code provided. No one can or did access the property unauthorized. Upon explaining those things to the guest, he was still hysterical and decided to stay elsewhere. Then he and his assistant began messaging me nonstop requesting a refund. We have a very liberal cancellation policy but could not provide a full refund with zero notice for no justifiable reason. Upon explaining that to the guest, he threatened multiple times that if we did not give him a refund he was going to leave us a bad review. We explained that we could not control what review any guest leaves but that his issues were baseless: we have never had any security issues, the house is very safe and secure, and is in a very safe neighborhood. We did offer to refund the cleaning fee since the guest did not stay at the property but he continued to threaten us; so at that point we stopped all communication.
