LIFE AT VILLA BELLA

Set amongst beautiful landscaped gardens on 1.6 acres of land with lovely serene views of the rice fields and sunset you will find the luxurious and private Villa Bella. We are in the quiet village called Banjar Kuwum ( often referred to as the 'Beverley Hills of Bali'). We are less than ten minutes to the nearest beach, Seminyak, Canggu & the new hotspot Pettitenget Road. The locals are lovely smiling and kind and more than happy to show you all the short cuts to where you need to go. You will often see traditional ceremonies happening in the village. You can hear the waves at night from the local beach, lovely birds fill the gardens in the afternoon as you watch the sunset. Awake to the lovely sound of the bamboo blowing in the breeze. Our amazing team of staff will pamper you and take care of your children. Enjoy a massage with Ibu Anna our massage lady that drops by daily. For families wanting a relaxing holiday, a fun filled vacation for a group of friends or a romantic getaway for couples. Villa Bella will be your own tropical hideaway full of soul and charm for your vacation on the island of the Gods.

THE VILLA

Villa Bella is an architect designed open plan villa blending traditional balinese and modern western style design. Huge open plan living room with views to the pool and garden. Traditional grass roof. Separate kitchen and dining. Three grand bedrooms which can be closed and secured - all with modern comforts, private terraces, en-suites and views. All rooms with air-cons and fans. Huge king beds with luxurious netting. large dining tables. Lounges with all the comforts that you desire. We sleep 6 but one of the bedrooms can accommodate and extra double bed to sleep 8 guests in total. ( great for kids). The pool is 13 meters long and we have lounges and two bule's for lounging, sleeping and massages.

DINING

Ketut is an amazing cook who will prepare your delicious meals. Sometimes her daughters will come and help. We provide a healthy & organic menu but your suggestions are more than welcome. She will be more than happy to give you a cooking lesson. Great cafe's are only five minutes away. Fresh seafood deliveries can be arranged in the morning from our local fisherman.

MIND BODY & SOUL

Our lovely loyal team of staff will greet you with smiling faces and make your stay a most memorable one. Enjoy the pool and lounges in the lovely gardens. Go for a yoga lesson nearby. Take a bicycle ride on one of the secret paths through the rice fields to the beach for a sunset walk. Take a day trip white water rafting in Ubud. For groups of friends enjoy a dinner in the garden under the moonlight. The staff will even be happy to take you to the local temple for a full moon blessing! and to other special not to be missed ceremonies about town.

FAMILY & KIDS

Your children will be well looked after and adored. Ketut has three of her own children and lots of experience. She is happy to come at night and babysit for you when you need time alone. There are lots of activities for the kids. Yoga, surf lessons, swimming lessons, balinese dance, a trip to the water park? We are happy to arrange it all for you. Ketuts daughters sometimes come and play. The Rainbow playgroup is a few minutes away and the Green School is 20 minutes away.

FRIENDS & COUPLES

We have the perfect space for sharing. All bedrooms are separate and with their own balconies and bathrooms so you can retain your privacy. Plenty of room for dinner parties and lounging by the pool. Nyoman will be happy to drive you for day trips and point you in the direction of the nightlife in Bali that is less than ten minutes away.

STAFF

The Villa is run by a lovely husband & wife team.

Ketut and Nyoman who have worked with us for over twenty years. Often one of their lovely daughters will come and help prepare meals. There is always a staff member on the premises and we are very secure. All airport transfers are arranged. Car and motorbike hire can be organized prior to your arrival. Ketut will greet you with a tropical fruit basket and a freshly baked cake. We provide you with a detailed villa guide with all our favorite nearby cafes bars and shops and a some special suggestions for your stay. Most of our guests get so spoilt they find it hard to leave the house.

The Neighbourhood

We are in a charming quiet village called Kuwum. We are next to Banjar Semer, Umalas and close (around five minutes) to Canggu & Pettitenget, ( the current ' hot spots' of Bali) - Seminyak is 12 minutes away. The closest beach is less than ten minutes away - great for an early morning walk or sunset stroll. All these areas can be accessed by scooter & push bike fast on small private roads for those who prefer to avoid traffic and major roads. You can hear the ocean at night from the villa. The locals are lovely kind and helpful and more than happy to show you short cuts to where you are going to. Great cafes, yoga studios, and the Canggu sports club are just five minutes away.

If you wish to explore the island and why wouldn't you? There is so much to do and see. We are very well located. We are out of the traffic gridlock of Kuta so journey times to Ubud West and East coasts and the center of the island is considerably less. This is why our location is so desired by the ex-pat scene.

We are happy to arrange car and bikes for you. A personal driver can also be arranged for your day trips. We have two bicycles at the house to enjoy rides to the beach or around the village. There is a taxi rank close by and they get to the house in less than 5 minutes.

The prefect place fo a relaxing getaway!

My three day stay with my Boyfriend at Villa Bella was (again!) WONDERful! Charming, romantic and luxutious are the right chosen words to describe this place. It has a very warm vibe to it. Much space and still very cozy and private. The interior is beautiful - great taste of decor. It looks and feels like every inch of this house was designed with love for detail. It's a great short time home for anyone, couples, families... Keut and Nyoman take care with so much love and harmony, very nice to be around them. And you get a lot of good adivce and tips from them. All in all - it's bellissima!

An absolute hidden gem filled with authenticity.

Villa Bella is just stunning. A piece of paradise and tranquility set in a quiet, peaceful location even though it is only a five minute drive from down town Seminyak. The house is immaculate and offers all you could ever possibly want and the garden is simply sublime. What brings this whole experience together is the staff. Ketut, Nyoman and Koman are just gorgeous and so, so genuine. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The bedrooms are spacious and stylish and the bathrooms are gorgeous. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough and I will be back again in December.

VILLA BELLA: a Luxurious piece of Paradise

There are many reasons to stay at Villa Bella! The spacious lounge, with views of the beautiful garden which surrounds the swimming pool with its intimate and romantic gazebo, bedrooms with sumptuous bedding and luxurious en suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen,,,, a Villa so comfortable you can forget to go out! Traditional massage at home, very good dinner in, or valuable tips for the best restaurants, or delicious food home delivery. Super efficient staff, headed by the ever-present Ibu Ketut, who for more than 20 years of impeccable direction of Villa Bella, also an excellent Cook, which ranges from Mediterranean cuisine to the Balinese delicacies, with Greek and Italian dishes! well excuse me my bad English,,, I hope to be able to describe this BELLISSIMA Villa Bella! Blissful and peaceful

Hi Jane, Wow what an amazing home! From the moment we stepped through the front gate we knew we were in for something special and wouldn't want to leave. Our 4 children just enjoyed being children again, swimming in the pool, catching frogs, reading, playing games in and around the house, walking down to the local shop and just enjoying each others company in idyllic surrounds. Ketut and Nyoman and the girls were wonderful. We really felt like part of their family. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The house itself is beautifully decorated and feels like a real home and not just a place to stay while on holidays. We enjoyed our runs and bike rides in the morning around the local village and relaxing in the immaculate gardens for the whole day. In fact our children didnt want to go out for dinner at night because they couldnt bear to leave (and becase of Ketut's wonderful culinary skills). Thank you for allowing us to share in your piece of paradise. We hope to be back in the future but in the meantime we will be spreading the word about bella and its charm and beauty.

An Oasis

Everything was wonderful during our stay at Villa Bella. The staff were so lovely, the food yummy and the accommodations were outstanding. It is like a little oasis in bustling Bali and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet even though we were close to much of the action in Seminyak and Canggu.

Beautiful Island Paradise

Villa Bella was such a pleasure to stay at. I was so taken aback by its beauty and tranquillity. The bedrooms are large, elegant and with wonderful views over the pool, garden and rice fields. This is one of the best views I've had over the last 25 years I have been coming to Bali. The gardens are stunning, fresh flowers in every room and such elegant styling throughout. The interior is so stunning, keeping the true Balinese theme but with the a Parisian influence. It was so peaceful and quiet at Villa Bella but also close to great shopping and restaurants. It was hard to believe we weren't miles from anywhere, it was so relaxing. The staff were amazing, so kind and helpful and really looked after us on our stay. I had totally healthy green juices every morning and we had the best Indonesian food I have ever eaten in Bali. I highly recommend Villa Bella it is truly a paradise.

CANT WAIT TO RETURN

I rented this villa for my 35th birthday with my boyfriend and another 2 couples. We had such an amazing time. The villa is stunning and the interiors just so beautiful. We were so spoilt by the staff the food was excellent. We hired a car and Nyoman drove for us sometimes and the rest of the times Nyoman told us where to go. Its a great location as you are so close to Pettitenget and the beach but its in a quiet wonderful village where you really feel the spirit of "old Bali".. The house has a great design so we all had our privacy the gardens and pool are beautiful and we had massages every day. I can't wait to come back to Villa Bella. Wont stay anywhere else now.

PARADISE FOR OUR FAMILY

We arrived to Bali exhausted with our family - and arrived to this piece of paradise. Ketut and Nyoman and staff took such great care of us. Our children enjoyed the garden and pool and all the activities even some surf lessons. My husband and I just relaxed like never before. Ketut is a stunning cook and we enjoyed the house so much that it was hard to leave. Nyoman drove us around and he was so sweet. I would recommend this house to everyone - 5 stars. The location was great and we won't stay anywhere else when we come to Bali and booked out next trip already.. Thanks Ketut and team.

Exotic Balinese Wonder

My family and I had the best stay here. What truly made our stay was not just the tastefully designed decor, or the location which is close to amenities but far enough from the maddening crowd, it was the beautiful nature of the staff who made it a truly Balinese holiday, I cannot rave enough about the combination of an amazing villa and the beautiful Balinese staff that look after your every need without ever feeling imposed on. Highly recommended.

Very relaxing stay - Beautiful house

We are a family with 3 children and just spent 3 weeks at Villa Bella. Our stay has been wonderful under many aspects. Jane was very quick, helpful and gave us accurate information from the first contact we made to the end of our stay. Villa Bella is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and functional at the same time. The house, the garden and the pool are very well taken care of by a lovely team who took wonderful care of us. Nyoman and Ketut, husband and wife, have been the managers of Villa Bella for 20 years and are both very nice, trustful, and excellent persons. Ketut cooked wonderful meals for us, played with our children and made sure we had all we needed during our stay. We rent a car, and Nyoman drove us everywhere we needed. A TRUE GEM

This villa is a true GEM. From the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed. The house and interiors are stunning - the gardens are amazing and the views so serene. What makes this place so special is the staff. Ketut is such a great cook and so good with our kids. Nyoman drove for us and got us to where we wanted to go. IN fact the house was so lovely and luxurious we found it hard to leave. We were sad to have gone and look forward to out family holiday next year. 5 star Villa Bella

Heaven On Earth!

I cherish every second of my annual visit to Villa Bella. There is an endless list of incredible attributes and assets to the Villa. The home itself is breathtakingly beautiful and caters towards many different needs and expectations. Whether you want a quiet, serene, grounding home, away from the rather chaotic centre of Bali or an upbeat, festive and fun residency, Villa Bella is the place for you!! The location of the Villa is extremely favourable as it is within a 10 minute drive of the popular Jalan Petitenget, with its delicious restaurants and great shopping. But remains to be secluded from the heavy traffic and infrastructure of Bali, as it overlooks magnificent rice fields. A location such as this is becoming extremely rare in Bali. One of the most significant assets to the Villa would be the phenomenal staff. Words cannot describe the value i place on these amazing people. Ketut, working at Villa Bella for over 25 years is a first-class cook, who even gave me cooking lessons and can make you basically anything upon request! If you are looking for a one of a kind experience during your visit to Bali, i'd most definitely recommend you stay at Villa Bella. It is something everybody should add to and tick off of their bucket list! Thank you Villa Bella. I hope to see you again soon.

Charming and so very relaxing

I was suggested to stay at this villa by a close friend. After an exhausting trip from NY I was so delighted and enchanted with amazing Villa Bella. Ketut and Nyoman are just lovely and made our vacation spectacular. Ketut is an incredible cook, our meals were stunning and she was so good with our two small children. Nyoman drove us to where we wanted to go. The house is kept in perfect order. The decor and interiors are beautiful, the owner has exceptional taste. Rooms are huge and there is enough room for everyone to have their own privacy. Ketut baby sat at night so I could have some romantic dinners with my husband. It is a huge property the gardens are beautiful and the views of the rice fields are so serene. Great yoga is nearby. There is also a playgroup in close proximity. I will miss this villa so much and have already booked in for next year. This is one of the best houses in bali - a true diamond. The village is also great as it is traditional but you are not far out of town. I enjoyed bike rides with my husband on all the secret paths they told us to go. Thanks Ketut & Nyoman we will miss you.

Villa Bella: BEAUTIFUL !!!

Our stay in Villa Bella was in a word HEAVENLY!! Ketut and Nyoman greeted us with warm friendly smiles and took such wonderful care of us. Gorgeous tasteful decor; lush tropical surroundings; fabulously maintained with every attention to detail. Ketut's amazing scrumptious culinary delights from all over the globe, including the best Nasi Campur (Balinese cuisine). Ibu Anna's massage is 'to die for'. We were spoilt rotten. Definitely coming back to Villa Bella for our next vacation in Bali.

A perfect ambiance for a Balinese Holiday!

Besides the smiles of Ketut and Nyoman who look after Villa Bella, we were welcomed by the most beautiful display of marigolds, patiently strung to form delicate "curtains" in strategic areas of the villa; Magnificent Heliconias that were displayed in enormous clay vases!...everso beautiful and surprising were the blue hydrangeas that were perfectly positioned to enhance the beauty of this home. One can feel the love that has been put into Villa Bella by, for example, the elegant lace detail added to the surrounds of the 4 poster mosquitoe nets...particularly the lovely embroidered silk which has been sewn on to form the ceiling of the net in the master bedroom up stairs!! Oh and not to mention the bed itself which is quite majestic! Love the bathrooms!! the wonderful carved detail of the bathroom doors upstairs! All 3 bathrooms are a "MUST SEE" !! There is a great music system here but we rarely used it...it was much more pleasant listening to the local farmers trying to chase the birds from their rice crop by day and to the frogs by night!..Ketut is a great cook! thoroughly enjoyed all of her meals that she prepared! Nyoman is a great help too should you need a guide or a driver! Massages were enjoyed in abundance by all! as were the pisang goreng (fried bananas) that Ketut prepared almost twice a day. The rooms were everso comfortable, I had the good fortune to try out two of them. The swimming pool is a great length for exercise as well being the perfect depth for young children to enjoy. The furniture in the house is exquisite...love the doors and panels that have been altered into mirrors creating beautiful reflections of the foliage in the garden! Great place to work and play! Excellent for families with kids of all ages! We had guitare lessons daily for 7 and 14 year old girls. The garden is beautifully landscaped and provided a generous area for the 2 year old to burn up some energy! Fabulous Fabulous! Definitely coming again!! One member of our party had so much work to do but at the end of her stay, which flew by so fast, remarked that she had been absolutely content to have stayed in the villa the entire duration of the holiday!....just shows you how lovely it is!!

Villa Bella

walking into the candle lit garden late at night over looking rice fields with exotic flowers floating in the pool - I had arrived- the staff and manager all there to greet me - the next 10 days was filled with luxury - from the gourmet meals to the massages and total relaxing atmosphere of this eclectic home in Bali. This is a must .Do yourself and family a favour and book this villa on your travels to Bali - you will never forget this amazing place - we will be back XXX Maree

Villa Bella

Villa Bella is the most exquisite little gem in Bali. It's a beautifully decorated three bedroom home which sits on this incredible plot of land that butts a rice patty field. The three large bedrooms are incredibly luxe and very personal and all of them have their own terraces overlooking the the pool, lush garden, and rice field. The large living and dining room are open air with a thatched grass roof typically Balanese. The staff is incredible and extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and I cannot give enough praise to the cook who was just the best person to wake up to everyday. There is great wifi service,iPod available and TV in every bedroom. You are a 5 minute drive from town which I love because your not in the thick of things. It was my first time in Bali and I was hesitant to stay in a home thinking a hotel would be more convenient but after staying at Villa Bella I would highly recommend you do the same to get the full Bali experience.

A truly beautiful space

It's simple - when you find yourself rebooking a holiday to stay at Villa Bella two days after coming home from there, you have to say that it's magnetism and beauty is pretty special. We adored our time at the Villa and we were so beautifully looked after every moment. The staff were exceptional and the surroundings enabled you to truly wind down and embrace the serene environment. Close to all the to dining spots and shopping we felt we could be part of the vibe without all the noise and chaos. The villa is kept meticulously clean and it is so beautifully furnished. We so look forward to returning later this year!

I was looking for a lovely serene pieve of land to build my " dream home". I found it in the lovely tranquil village of Kuwum. We have stunning gardens and rice field views. The sun sets directly in front of the villa in the evening - We still have that old Bali magic and feel. Come and enjoy it .
