Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located country home. The scenic drive to our home winds through apple orchards and you may see wildlife including deer, rabbits, and at dusk in the summer you may enjoy an evening serenade of whippoorwills singing. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee on one of our multiple decks or sitting on the porch swing, overlooking the private 1 acre lawn. You can take a relaxing walk down the rural country road to get some fresh mountain air or just unplug and read a book. Harmony House is family-friendly and located close to all your go-to local favorite places. You are just minutes away from the gorgeous Lake Lure (made famous by the movie “Dirty Dancing”, Parker Binn’s Winery (a local vineyard), and Tryon International Equestrian Center(TIEC). If you are the adventurous type you can also hike the local trails and visit waterfalls, and enjoy outings like tubing and zip lining nearby. Golf in the beautiful mountains nearby at Rumbling Bald Resort, Apple Valley Golf Club, or Cleghorn Golf and Country Club. Your children will have a blast visiting with our Dwarf Goat “Ripley” who lives onsite. Feed her some carrots or celery during your stay or just give her a quick pet. She loves visitors! Relax by the cozy fire pit outside, make some s’mores or sip on a glass of local wine at the end of the night. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy at Harmony House! We look forward to hosting you! This cozy home sleeps up to a maximum of 10 people and has been a favorite for guests when attending weddings at the local wedding venues.

Perfect Mountain Get Away !

The house was so cute & it has such a peaceful, beautiful view. If you need a quiet place to get away from crazy city life this is it. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Great relaxing getaway

We had a great stay at this mountain getaway. It was very relaxing for my wife and myself. We also enjoyed spending time with Ripley the goat. The accomodations were excellent and communication with the host was prompt and friendly. We ended up staying an extra night.

Peaceful stay

Nice stay while at TIEC about 15-17 mins away. Good communication with owner. Quiet stay. On back gravel rd, make sure you stay on Harmony rd and don’t let GPS take you on hillbilly rd!

Fathers Day Trip

We took the weekend for a Father’s Day weekend and had the best time. This is the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us and we enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. Highly recommended!!

Great little secluded spot!

Adorable little secluded spot- perfect location for going to Tryon Eq Center. Great setup for families and pets! Great fenced back yard and doggy door for your dog! The goat was a HUGE hit with the kids! We didn’t get to use the fire pit, but the setup was beautifully done and all ready for us had we decided to! Great place to stay!

There for a horse show

Nice place. Very secluded, very quiet. Great place to go write a book! It is down a very, very long dirt road, so you need to be up for that. We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet. We were there for a show at TIEC, and it’s decently close. I would definitely stay there again- nice spot.

BEST stay and host!

Melissa is the best host for a home-share I’ve had o. My 6+ years of using VRBO for our trips. Hands down! She helped us have an amazing stay celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday and it will be somewhere we will definitely stay again. Riley is ADORABLE and the sweetest dwarf goat I have ever encountered. Such a cool touch to the stay! It’s a perfect location for the TIEC events.

Mountain getaway

The house was a great fit for our family of 6. With extra sleep space if needed. The house had everything we needed plus a few extras that made our stay more comfortable. Ripley the goat provided extra entertainment, my teenagers enjoyed feeding her. The host was very easy to communicate with and available when I had questions. The house and property was nestled in the mountains with beautiful views and privacy. We were centrally located to Ashville, Hendersonville and Tryon equestrian center.

My husband and I loved staying at Harmony House! We chose this location for its proximity to Serenity Ridge. The property is so peaceful and pretty. The open floor plan living and dining area has great light and views of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed both staying in to make meals at home followed by a campfire, as well as dining in the nearby communities of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. Other fun activities in the area were paddling/boating on Lake Lure, hiking at Chimney Rock State Park and other great sites in the area. We especially enjoyed tubing on the Green River. We hope to visit again soon!

Didn't Want to Leave

Perfect location for our trip to to the mountains. Lake Lure, Saluda, Hendersonville and Tryon are all just a short drive away. The house was perfect for us with all the little extras. Melissa's a wonderful host. We had one little hiccup and she took care of it right away. If you want to get away from it all in a secluded area, this is your place. And Riley the goat is adorable we wanted to bring her home with us.

Great weekend stay

We were attending a wedding at a nearby vineyard. This house was great! It had plenty of room for our family. The house is dog friendly and we were able to bring along our fur baby! The house was clean, well appointed, fenced in yard. Everying we needed and more. Melissa was a wonderful host and answered all my questions. The house is at the end of a gravel road. Melissa’s instructions for finding it were perfect, as we arrived after midnight. Screenshot the instructions for finding it, as she mentions in her message! Quiet, peaceful, would happily stay here again if we are in the area.

House was very nice location was as said off grid road had washed out ruts turned in wrong driveway (totally my fault) i want to say go exactly by directions and you will be good on my third drive to house i did that and it was fine But if you turn into wrong property you may get to meet a man with a gun. I was born and raised in south-western Florida. I love to travel, stay active and enjoy watching my daughters enjoy their hobbies- volleyball and equestrian sports.

One of my daughters calls this the “Fairy House.” When we first looked at the property a few years ago, the lawn was lush and green and the forest surrounds the home on all sides. This house is close to everything you might want to enjoy here in the mountains. You will be 14 minutes from Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), 10 minutes from Parker Binn’s Vineyard, and 14 minutes from popular wedding and event venue- Serenity Ridge. You really are close to it all at this home! If you enjoy golf- there are several courses available as well- Apple Valley Golf Course and Cleghorn Country Club and Gun Club are both a short 20 minutes away as well! You can spend your afternoon exploring local hiking trails, just 10 minutes away, and for the more adventurous, there are also many waterfalls locally to choose from.
