Welcome to Copper Cottage, a brand-new (built in 2024) retreat designed for large families, reunions, and group getaways. With 6 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 14 guests, this home combines modern comfort with the natural beauty of the Hoosier National Forest.



Ideally located just 1 mile from Patoka Lake and only 10 minutes from French Lick & West Baden Springs, the cottage offers the perfect base for both adventure and relaxation.

    This home is beautifully decorated, embracing its name, Copper Cottage. There were 11 of us, plus two dogs, and everyone had his/her/their own room/space. There is an upstsirs bedroom perfectly created for kids. The weather was so nice we were able to open the big wall door and enjoy the nature around us. Ammennities and appliances were just what we needed. Very close to French Lick. We hope to return one day for another stay.

    This place was super nice. We would definitely come back. Lots of space for the kids to run around. The kitchen and bathrooms are all very high-end. We want to visit again when it’s warm out and go to Merango Cave, Patoka Lake, and Holiday world. Host is very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

    Loved this property! Perfect for our family stay! The kitchen was well equipped, loved the huge table, all spaces beautifully decorated, nice bathrooms and showers, plenty of towels and washcloths for our group of 10, comfortable beds and excellent smart TV access with media choices. We went to the Polar Express and it was close to French Lick hotel. The copper theme was really unique and beautiful! Thanks for a great stay! This will be on our return list!

    Highly recommend this VRBO. My euchre club (7 ladies) stayed here while exploring French Lick, West Baden and Wilstem wildlife. Could have easily accommodated more people.We couldn’t have found a nicer place to stay. Convenient and private location. One of the nicest VRBO’s I’ve ever stayed at. Must be professionally decorated. Loved the outdoor space for our cocktail hour, the kitchen table was large for our dinners and, the living room was great for game nights. Dustin responded to our request to adjust the thermostat within minutes. Thank you!

    Fantastic family cottage

    Copper cottage is beautiful! It has lots of bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The large kitchen table was so fun to sit down to a family meal ! The owners were very easy to work with and had detailed instructions with clear labeling for ease of stay. It’s very close to Patoka lake along with several other attractions in the area. One of my favorite VRBO’s to date!

    We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage! The place is not only spacious but also so cool and beautiful, with thoughtful touches everywhere. I loved the little details like the copper plaques for everything and the custom memorabilia coin they left for us—it really made the stay feel special. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed and more, making it super comfortable for our family.The owners were incredibly kind and allowed us to check in early, which gave us the chance to spend some time out on the lake before it got dark—such a memorable experience. We truly wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway.

    Great Family Stay

    Had a great weekend getaway adventure with the whole family as part of the grandsons Christmas gift! Stayed in this beautifulVottqge while visiting the Big Solash Adventure indoor Water Park! Had plenty of room for all of us! We had 8 adults and5 little ranging from 5-7 months enjoyed of stay and the places we went to as well !!the Cooper Cottage was a great Fit for our Getaway Adventure

    5 couples stayed for 3 nights over New Years Eve.Pros: Host was easy to work with. Property easy to find. Property was well stocked with paper products, kitchen items and bath towels etc. Overall the property was very nice. As the weather was cold we did not open the "garage" door or take advantage of the outside area. In warm weather it would be a great place to hang out. Large parking area. Close to Patoka Lake. We visited West Baden hotel & French Lick casino. Instructions for operating things in the house were clearly posted.Cons: All the bathrooms were on the first floor, so anyone using the upstairs bedrooms would have to come down to use the facilities. Not so good for seniors in the middle of the night. The upstairs had a slanted roof which was low; one of our group kept hitting his head. The microwave was inside a cabinet which made it hard to use. We never got hot water in the kitchen sink. Bathroom showers had warm water but not hot. The large dining table was a great area for our group to eat but made playing cards & games difficult as it was very wide. The entrances to the house were a little odd; access to the patio was only through bedroom doors unless you went out the back door, down the steps and walked around the house to the patio. The bedrooms did not have closets, dressers or a place to put your suitcase other than the floor.Nice house; would recommend but be aware of the bathroom situation.

    Unique decor inside the property, tying in the Copper Cottage theme. Comfortably accommodated our group of 11, which included several children. Our visit was intended to introduce our grandchildren to nearby skiing, but weather didn’t cooperate - too warm for snow. However, the nearby water park proved to be a nice alternative.

    5 Star Stay at the Copper Cottage!

    Spectacular! We had 3 families up for a long weekend at Patoka Lake. Location was better than perfect, quick 1 mile drive to the boat ramp, restaurants were close, town a short drive. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the property. Attention to detail was top notch: super comfy beds, plenty of kitchen utensils, appliances, and serving ware for grilling out. The fire pit was awesome-thank you for the s’mores and a lovely vacation spot! Communication with owner was easy with quick responses. We misread the instructions and they were super patient and friendly with us :) Will absolutely rent again-everyone loved the Copper Cottage!!

    Week of Rest and Family

    Everyone loved the "Copper" theme. Including copper coffeemaker and pizza cutter. Large table made for great family times. TV's everywhere but we didn't put them to much use. Senior members of the group (wife and myself) were sick all but 1 day so we got full use of the house. Others got to boat, golf and enjoy some of the dining in the area. Youngest almost learned that you cannot win in tic-tac-toe. House was well equipped including magnets for the fridge message board.
