LOVED staying here!! Its a short drive from downtown Pentwater but was perfect for our family with kids. Lots of room to spread out and very clean place. The beds are all so comfortable and place had ample blankets and pillows. Would highly recommend staying here! Great hosts and communication too!

Loved the octagon home! Close to downtown Pentwater, Silver Lake Dunes and other family destinations. Hot tub was therapeutic for the older folks and game room was fun for the younger folks. Dogs came with us which made it so much easier for us then boarding them. They loved being up north! Kitchen was well stocked and home was clean.

Clean, well-appointed pet-friendly stay! Very relaxing and comfortable! We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking some nice meals. The hosts definitely have an eye for detail. Great location, too - we went on a nice beach walk with the dogs at Mears State park nearby.

Fabulous property! Clean with fantastic furnishings. The bed was amazing, nice hot shower, and everything in the kitchen was also high end. Hot tub, chairs, around the fire pit and game room all resort quality. It was just the two of us and our little dog so we did not need to use the apartment but did check it out - also so clean and cozy. This place is great for two families or one big family one. Communication was quick and accurate. We can wait to return in the summer. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

Great birthday getaway

Just a couple ladies, looking for a couple days away from family, preferably with a hot tub. The octagon was perfect and Hannah was very accommodating and pleasant to communicate with throughout the booking until checkin. Would recommend and stay again!!

Thoughtful Accommodations

We will never forget our time in Pentwater at the "octagon" The property was so well appointed, the hosts had really thought of everything, even added bonuses like all the yummy items for s'mores. Check in was super easy and the few questions I had were answered quickly and helpfully by the host. The fact that there was a separate "apartment" in the back was a plus since we were two families traveling together. Also, we all enjoyed playing ping pong in the game room and hot tubbing in the evening. The home is close to the adorable downtown area also. I am not sure if we will return to Michigan BUT if we ever do we will definitely choose to stay here again. It was awesome!!!

We just wrapped up an incredible week at this spotless, spacious retreat—and we can’t say enough good things! From the moment we booked, the owner was lightning-fast with responses and went out of her way to accommodate every question and request.The house is loaded with thoughtful touches: a fully stocked s’mores kit, family board games everywhere, and even extra games tucked into the game room. That game room (plus the full apartment above it) was such a bonus—our teens practically lived there!Inside, you’ll find absolutely everything you need for a week-long stay with 5–7 people. The bedrooms are roomy, the living areas never felt cramped, and the WiFi was rock-solid—perfect for remote check-ins and streaming movie nights.Outside, there’s a firepit area that became a favorite gathering spot, plus a generous yard with space to toss a football or Frisbee. When you’re ready for a change of pace, it’s just a safe 1.4-mile walk or bike ride to downtown’s shops and restaurants.If you’re looking for a hassle-free, family-friendly home away from home with all the extras you could want, look no further.

We were in town for my son’s wedding & the Octagon was PERFECT! Hannah was a very responsive host & so thoughtful! We had a beautiful card saying congratulations on the wedding, as well as all the items needed for s’mores. Pictures do not do it justice - it was extremely clean, nicely decorated and every single bed was extremely comfortable. The one bedroom, one bathroom studio above the game room was a perfect retreat for me as mother of the groom since the groomsmen were in the main house. The game room provided quality entertainment for the guys and the hot tub and fire pit were nice as well. Everyone in our party was extremely impressed at what an amazing find this place was. It was close to town, yet was far enough away from traffic/noise. We are hoping to visit Pentwater again and would definitely want to book the Octagon again. If I could rate as a 10, that’s what it would get!
