Luxury Log Cabin Retreat – 25 Min from Asheville

Welcome to Whispering Wind Cabin, your luxury escape tucked high above Canton, NC. This beautifully designed 4-bedroom, 3-bath log cabin now includes a brand-new wellness suite with a sauna, cold plunge, and private gym, giving you a true resort-style experience in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Soak in the hot tub, relax by the fire pit, or enjoy the game room after a beautiful day exploring Asheville, Waynesville, or the Parkway.

Access & Arrival
Mountain drives are part of the experience! The cabin sits atop a newly graded gravel road with a sharp turn.

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) is required to reach the property.

This is common for homes in the mountains, and the views at the top make it absolutely worth it! (If you have questions about mountain driving, reach out anytime — we’re happy to guide you.)

Please note: no refunds are issued for inability to access the property due to road conditions.

The Cabin
Step into a spacious, newly renovated open floor plan with a living room, dining area, and fully equipped chef’s kitchen. Stunning floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the mountain views.

Kitchen includes: coffee maker, toaster, gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, and quartz countertops.

Dining area seats 8 guests, plus 2 more at the island.

The front living room is cozy and conversation-friendly, with a record player (no TV here. This space is for relaxing, reconnecting, and enjoying the view). Please note: the front fireplace is currently decorative and non-functional.

Wellness Suite – Sauna, Cold Plunge & Gym (NEW!)
Your private wellness retreat includes:
- Full-size sauna for deep relaxation
- Cold plunge tub for contrast therapy and recovery
- Private gym area with essential equipment for workouts

Hot Tub
For guests 25+ only to operate. Guests under 18 must be directly supervised by an adult. Please avoid using the hot tub after consuming alcohol or if pregnant.

No glass or bottles near the hot tub area. Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.

The Game Room
Your group’s favorite hangout spot! Located on the main floor toward the back of the cabin, the game room includes:
- Pool table & shuffleboard
- Books, board games, cards, and puzzles
- 75" Smart TV for movie nights or big games
This is the ultimate entertainment space after a long day outdoors.

Bedrooms
- Main Floor: 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, luxury linens, and closet space.
- Upstairs: 2 king suites, each with an en suite bathroom.
- One suite features a reading nook, perfect for cozy mornings.
- The other includes a workspace for remote work or studying.

Bathrooms
- Main Level: 1 full bath with a tub/shower
- Upstairs: 2 ensuite bathrooms with walk-in tiled showers and mid-century style vanities.

Each bathroom was fully remodeled with modern fixtures and premium finishes.

Laundry
A newly renovated laundry room with washer, dryer, and open shelving is located on the main level for easy access.

Step outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air and breathtaking views.

Please keep all food and trash indoors. Local wildlife (including bears!) may visit if tempted.

Wi-Fi & Cell Service
You’ll feel remote but still connected. The cabin offers reliable Wi-Fi via a 5G hotspot router (do not unplug).
Most cell carriers have solid reception, but occasional outages may occur.

Pets
We welcome up to 2 well-behaved pets for a $50 fee per pet. Please include them in your reservation by selecting “Bringing pets” when booking. Service animals are always welcome. Just let us know in advance so we can prepare the space.

Safety & Security
Outdoor security cameras monitor exterior areas for guest safety.

Tampering with cameras will result in immediate cancellation.

Please use caution around deck railings and uneven outdoor terrain.

Mountain Living Notes
The cabin is surrounded by winding country roads — part of the charm!

Fall and winter bring ladybugs and stink bugs seeking warmth. Our cabin has regular pest control and is thoroughly cleaned before and after every stay, though a few may reappear (a mountain quirk!).
