Large beautiful home overlooking 250+ acre lake/wetland. Abundant residential and migrating waterfowl, including geese, ducks, pelicans and bald eagles provide for a birdwatchers delight. Wild turkeys and whitetail deer will be your closest neighbors. A short walk on our 800 acre property gets you to the banks of the Elkhorn River.

Built in 2018. Five bedroom house sleeps 14 comfortably. Large kitchen that seats 10. Two separate living areas with TV's. Ample space for a large family getaway in northeast Nebraska.

Beautiful home great outdoor space, little bit hard to find but owners did tell us that. Only thing was it was not as handicapped accessibly as we thought. Showers all had a ledge to get in, but everything else was good! I would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Eagle’s Nest. The girls kayaked in the lake. The house is clean and very comfortable! We hope to stay again next year. Matt is easy to communicate with and his directions to the home were perfect and helpful. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

This is a great property! It’s only 1hr from Omaha and is quite the hidden gem! The house is all updated and in great condition. The property itself is beautiful. Our kids LOVED the sand beach and Lilly pad for the lake. The canoes were great too. It was very peaceful.We did not catch any fish, nor even get a bite, but the kids still had fun trying!The few cons were: The water pressure was not great and only one water source could be on at a time or else the flow was only a slow trickle. It was manageable, but definitely something we had to work around with a larger group. •The flies were a huge menace. It would have been nice to have some fly traps or something to help try and keep them out of the house. •We were there for a family Labor Day trip, but it happened to be over opening weekend for water fowl hunting. The early AM shotguns were a little alarming.Overall it was excellent though! The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for 3 families to sleep and hand out. We enjoyed the fire pit and large deck! We had the best time and would definitely recommend this property!

This house was perfect for us. We stayed for a week and wanted to be secluded and wanted a place where several kids of all ages could run and play outside. The size was perfect. The beds were perfect. The outside area and pond were perfect. Absolutely would stay again.

The house is set up perfectly for a large group. Two different living rooms connected by the kitchen/dining room was perfect for our needs. We loved the fishing and wildlife watching from the huge deck! Would love to stay again!

Family Getaway

This is the second time our family has stayed at the Eagles Nest. It is great home on an amazing property. Matt is an excellent host. The sand around the house is great for the kids, but bring shoes as there are sand burrs on the property. The lake water is good for swimming. There is just one refrigerator, so bring coolers if you have a large group for an extended stay. Would highly recommend a stay at the Eagles Nest.

Great place for family

We came to NE for a family funeral and needed a place for my parents, my family, and my sister’s family to stay. Found this spot and am SO glad we did. It was an excellent stay with everything we needed, space to move around and not feel like we were on top of each other. The deck was great to BBQ and hang out. Everyone had a good time and was sad to leave.

Wedding Escape

Beautiful, spacious and clean, we used this as home base for family visiting from out of the country for a wedding reception. They loved the opportunity to gather with friends and family they hadn't seen in quite a while, without having to navigate hotel settings. I hope we get the opportunity to use it again.

What a wonderful spot! The house was perfect, beds and bedding were very comfortable. House had everything you need down to a mushroom hunting guide! The nature is unending. Wish I could keep it a secret so it’s easier to rent in the future, but the hosts were just too nice! Thank you!

West Point NE Hideaway

Our family had a great stay at this West Point NE gem. The place is quite secluded and sits on a large property. The house was very clean and easily accommodated our family. Matt was great to work with. The primary lake for swimming had a fair amount of algae in it, so we moved over to the Elkhorn river and that turned about to be a huge hit for our grandkids. We also did a little fishing in the river and caught nice catfish. The town of West Point has a fantastic swimming pool. We spent one afternoon at the pool which was enjoyed by all. The huge deck on this house was great for our evening socials. Would highly recommend this place if you just need to get away from the grind and hangout. It was very relaxing.

This property was clean, fun, and peaceful. We had our family vacation here and it was wonderful. Swimming, fishing, and playing on the beach we're the kids favorite while sitting on the deck and playing cards we're the adults favorite. The host was very easy to communicate with when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again.
