Tucked into the woods with peaceful privacy, this fully furnished 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin offers the perfect blend of quiet retreat and easy highway access.

Step out of your car and you immediately hear the rushing sound of the Big Fork Creek flowing, year-round just behind the cabin. A beautiful waterfall cascades in the backyard, creating the kind of relaxing backdrop you simply can’t replicate.

Inside, everything is ready for a comfortable stay. The cabin is completely furnished with fresh bed linens, towels, a fully equipped kitchen (dishes, cookware, refrigerator, gas stove), dining area, cozy living room with Smart TV streaming, DVD player, DVD library, and game closet for family fun. There is a washer and dryer for added convenience.

Outside is where this place really shines. Enjoy mornings on the covered porch and evenings gathered around the decorated firepit area, complete with string lights for nighttime ambiance — perfect for s’mores, conversation, and unwinding under the stars.

Conveniently located next to our full hook-up RV campground. If you are staying with a group, you can easily ride from campsites to the cabin on your ATVs or off road vehicles. Easy access to nearby ATV trails, including the Wolf Pen Gap and Fouche Mountain trails. No need to trailer, you can ride directly from our campground. Check the US Forest Service website for exact open and closure dates. This cabin offers the best of comfort, nature, and adventure all in one stay.

This was a great place to stay. The waterfall in the backyard was beautiful and relaxing. The host was very accommodating and made the trip so much more enjoyable for us. We would recommend this cabin and stay here again.

The creek in the backyard was EVERYTHING!!! Best part of the entire trip! The cabin was simple and awesome as well! There is no central ac. Only a window unit and two portable acs (one in each room). So it was a little warmer than we would have liked. Only the living room has a tv. A few other minor things that were seriously just personal preferences to make the house even better, but truly we LOVED our stay!!! Absolutely wonderful!

Cabin was nice we enjoyed our stay. The waterfall behind the cabin is nice. Check in was great and host was very helpful. Just make sure you take food to cook unless you like gas station food and bad service at the restaurant down the road.

The best aspect of this cabin is the creek and waterfall in the back. It's pretty remote, 20 miles from nearest town, but that makes it pretty nice. We very much enjoyed the stay and plan to go back.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. We had all the amenities we needed in the house. It included a fire pit in the back with lights hung up around it, grills, and an awesome waterfall right next to you that you can see from your chair. Plenty of parking space and if you have a ATV there's a covered shelter for it ( as we needed it due to rain). The cabin is super secluded away from everybody like your own place in the woods. If your there for the trails , there right down tge road minutes away and easy access. Cant say enough about our stay, we will definitely come back. We highly recommend it for friends and family.

This place is an absolute gem! Its truly unreal when you pull onto the property and the absolute beauty of it. The only nearby place to eat is absolutely delicious! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all so so good!

Upon arrival it’s a cute little cabin nice front porch which needed to be swept off. Removed cobwebs off of everything before we could sit in it and then there was these big black ants on the front porch going into the house in the living room kitchen back steps they were everywhere except in our beds.. the property really needed to be mowed can’t utilize all the property because of the overgrown areas..evidently the place has “well water “ the smell was very unpleasant and after showering, you felt like you stank! There were three of us we all had problems with the Wi-Fi notified the host and they got back to us very promptly. I was the only one who could actually benefit from the Wi-Fi. The creek behind the house is very nice. You have to find one spot where you can access the creek because it’s really all grown up and the bank is high.. there is a nice slide and swings for children, but the grass has grown up all around them.Were unable to access the little swimming hole the water was crystal clear though and we did wade in it.. unfortunately I will not be a returning guest ..

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Our area experienced an unusually rainy season before and during your visit. Persistent rainfall created challenges common with rural, wooded creekside properties, including rapid vegetation growth, increased carpenter-ant activity, and cobwebs that can reappear quickly—even after outdoor areas have recently been cleaned. Saturated ground also limited how frequently some areas could be safely mowed and maintained. The cabin uses well water, and extended periods of heavy rain can intensify the natural mineral or sulfur odor. We understand this may be unpleasant for guests who are not accustomed to well water. Regarding the Wi-Fi, we responded promptly and spent over an hour helping your group connect devices and enable Wi-Fi calling. We also contacted technical support, which confirmed that the internet was functioning properly with excellent upload and download speeds. While rural cellular service varies by carrier and device settings, the Wi-Fi itself was operating normally. We appreciate your feedback and will continue maintaining and improving the outdoor areas as weather permits. Although we’re sorry the property was not the right fit for your group, we appreciate your recognition of our responsiveness and your kind comments about the beautiful, clear creek. We remain committed to providing a comfortable, affordable creekside experience at a competitive rate

Very nice, private spot with a beautiful waterfall in the back!! It made the perfect swim spot! Theres also a little convenient store/restaurant like half a mile up the road! We didnt have to go anywhere tho bc the cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again!!

Nice cabin. There were minor issue with the oven not working and the cell booster being out, but we were notified before our stay and we were able to make adjustments.

Great stay!!!

This was a great place to stay! Most importantly to me, the house was very clean. The location is beautiful and there is a great little restaurant very nearby. Owner was very responsive to questions. My only complaint is that I didn’t realize there was no WiFi or TV service. I also had no cell service with Verizon.

The cabin was advertised as quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately this wasn’t our experience half of our stay. We didn’t know that the creek behind the cabin would be under construction by a bulldozer from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., almost the whole Saturday! If we would have been made aware we could’ve booked another time. The smell of the exhaust was nauseating, the sound was awful, and the water clarity was horrible.

Waterfall steps away!!

I fell in love with this secluded property as soon as we drove up. When I opened the car door, I could hear the stream running. The waterfall is literally in the back yard!! Be sure to carry water shoes, so you can walk the stream. The house itself was so nice and well decorated! It had everything you could need. There's a small convenience store and cafe about 1/2 mile from the driveway. Little Missouri Falls is about a 20-ish minute drive. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely book this wonderful property again!

The cabin wasn’t easy to find the address given put me in a RV campground. I tried calling but there is no cell service for at least three miles.The woman at the store let me use her phone that she had hooked to WiFi. I got better directions this time. When I pulled up to the cabin the leaves were deep and the yard was never raked. The Creek mentioned in the ad was completely dry. The store had hardly anything. I didn’t get in until late in the day and it’s 40 miles round trip back to Mena for supplies. I was excited to get my SXS out in the morning because as the ad said convenient access to the trails.It was almost 10 miles to the trail head with no signage. After driving the forest roads to find the trailhead. I got to Wolf pen Gap. It was closed thru March ? I figured that someone who was a permanent resident of the area would know this. I have never seen a forest closed. I got no information from Fish and Game and every local seemed clueless. The property owner said this was my fault ? I didn’t know that the forest dept is in charge of the trails not the state. The cabin only had space heaters in an old wood cabin. The water had a lot of sulfur in it. The drive to the cabin required crossing a dry spillway which had quite a dip. I wouldn’t recommend a low clearance vehicle. My take on this trip. Stay in Mena trailer to the trails instead of staying where you need WiFi to make a call and staying in a tinder box with old space heaters

I’m sorry your trip did not unfold as you hoped. As we discussed during your stay, Wolf Pen Gap and the ATV trail system are managed and seasonally closed by the U.S. Forest Service, not by local businesses or the State of Arkansas. Opening and closing dates are published directly on the Forest Service website, and I provided that link during our conversation. Many visitors come year-round for hiking, scenic drives, hunting, and exploring the Ouachita National Forest, but I understand that your primary goal was riding the ATV trails. I also want to clarify for accuracy that the creek on the property is spring-fed and runs year-round. It does not dry up seasonally. And I’m sorry, but this in itself is a red flag of credibility as anyone from this area knows the Big Fork Creek Absolutely does not run dry at any point in the year. Brookside is located in a rural mountain setting outside of Mena. Limited cell service, well water with natural mineral characteristics, and low-water crossings are common features of properties in this part of Arkansas. These details are part of the rustic experience many guests specifically seek out. If we had known ahead of time that ATV riding was the sole purpose of your visit, I could have directed you to the Forest Service schedule before your 900-mile drive. However, you only communicated that after your arrival. I wish you safe travels moving forward.

This cabin greatly exceeded our expectations! The setting is not only beautiful, but private and peaceful. The amazing waterfall and swimming hole right behind the cabin made our trip unforgettable! The cabin is equipped with everything you need. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cabin was nicely decorated. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in the door! The host is easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property!
