Le Taggart House est un grand domaine au cƓur de Les Berkshires. La propriĂ©tĂ© se trouve Ă  5 minutes Ă  pied du centre de Stockbridge, pourtant situĂ© au calme sur 3 hectares entretenus le long de la riviĂšre Housatonic. La Maison Taggart a Ă©tĂ© construit en 1850 par un rĂ©sident Stockbridge notĂ© Henry Dwight Sedgwick. RĂ©cemment ajoutĂ© au Registre national des lieux historiques, la Maison Taggart combine bien l'architecture du 19Ăšme siĂšcle avec confort luxueux et des Ă©quipements modernes.

We were in Stockbridge for the first time for our annual family Thanksgiving and orienteering event. Most stayed at the inn, but some rented the Taggert House as a place where family could easily be together It was perfect and so conveniently located a short and beautiful walk to town. The house is huge, the kitchen is roomy and well-stocked, the beds were comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The pool table was a big hit. Parking was easy. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive. I highly recommend the Taggert House and, if your group is extra large, also rent their River House just behind it. Five stars plus. We will be back!

Historic and lovely place to stay

My new wife and I decided to use this property to have our immediate families stay for our wedding, and it worked out very well! The hosts were responsive and easy to work with, and the home itself was everything we needed.

Amazing property

We had an amazing time. We had several out of town guests who stayed at the home and then a birthday party with local guests in the ballroom. The ballroom is absolutely stunning. The chef enjoyed the kitchen. There was plenty of parking and a beautiful setting. I would stay again.

Great house in great location

The Taggart House was a wonderful place to gather with friends and family to celebrate my birthday. The house is beautiful; the rooms are large; kitchen is great; bugs kept us from hanging out in the backyard but the conservatory was light and bright and a perfect spot for cocktails. We loved the proximity to the town of Stockbridge and we would walk back and forth a couple times a day. We had a couple of small issues, and Caitlin was very responsive in answering my questions/concerns. All in all, a really great getaway.

Grand Getaway

The house was absolutely fabulous - even better than the online pictures. We were there for a “sibling/spouse” reunion. There were so many spaces to hang out - huge dining room, porch, living room & bonus was the fire pit. The hosts, Caitlin & George, were delightful and very responsive. The house is beautifully furnished and it is centrally located to several cute artsy towns and nearby attractions. If you’re looking for someplace special, this is the place!!!

Perfect location

Our group of 10 friends really enjoyed this beautiful historic property. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and yet wonderful, large areas where we could all gather together. We especially appreciated the location, so close to the center of Stockbridge, which afforded us the opportunity to take many walks around the area.

House is great for a group trip! Had a girls weekend here, enough rooms and beds for everyone (12) and close to all cute Berkshires towns. Place is huge and gorgeous. Plenty of space and gorgeous patio and fire pit.

Wonderful family home in the Berkshires

Perfect home for hosting multiple families. Tons of en suite bathrooms and king-sized beds. Only ten minutes by car from Tanglewood and walking distance to Naum Keeg and Main Street shops. It’s really a gem.

6 old but fun couples!

Beautiful property with all the amenities. Our group of 12 relaxed on the sun porch, played bocce and cornhole in the huge backyard, and enjoyed the town of Stockbridge. The owners suggestion of dinner at Alta was much appreciated as we had a fabulous dinner there.

Paradise in the Berkshires

This was our fourth stay at this magnificent property and we continue to be amazed by its beauty and grandeur. Our host have provided us with everything to make our experience perfect. One of the Best Rentals, Ever.

The Taggart House exceeds expectations. It is shipshape, fully equipped with responsive and friendly hosts/owners. Its historic but also great fun for a group with lots of spaces for meals, meal prep, socializing, TV watching, outdoor dining, fire pit etc. Its a memory maker for all who stay here.

Daughter’s Wedding Long Weekend

A group of our college friends and their spouses who were in Stockbridge to celebrate my daughter’s wedding including her godparents. Such a treat to stay in the beautiful Taggart House. Location is perfection! Everyone loved their beautiful rooms. We had a lovely dinner at the big dining room table the first night- couldn’t have been better or more fun!

This fully restored Victorian estate is a 5 minute walk to the center of Stockbridge, yet quietly situated on 3 manicured acres along the Housatonic River.
