We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have picked a better location for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. The property was the perfect home base for everything we wanted to do. We were able to easily visit waterfalls, lighthouses, beaches, scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and the Porcupine Mountains while still having a comfortable place to come back to each evening.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place. Loved waking up to the sound of the lake, the comfy beds, the living room with all the sofas was perfect for relaxing. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the backyard with access to the lake and the fire pit was perfect for watching the sunset while we sat around the campfire.

The house was just as described, and the view was even better than the pictures! Everything was clean, all of the beds were comfortable, and we truly felt right at home. I could have sat on the back porch for hours just enjoying the view and relaxing. The water was so clear. AND we found out very own YOOPER LIGHTS! :)The location was perfect for everything we wanted to explore. We were able to visit Copper Harbor, Lac La Belle, Houghton, and, of course, the little town of Calumet. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the area, and we even attended Mass at St. Paul’s Church in Calumet.The 12-hour drive from Central Ohio was definitely worth it! We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back someday.

This was the perfect spot to celebrate with our daughter her graduation from Michigan Tech. We were able to spend time together as a family while enjoying the lake and the many items available for making family meals. Truly enjoyed our stay!

We were very happy with the property. The view of Lake Superior was--well, SUPERIOR! We enjoyed the location being close to everything we wanted to do. The space provided plenty of room for the 8 of us. Of course the single bathroom presented its challenges, but nothing we couldn't figure out. Our hosts kept us very up to date and answered our questions immediately. We would highly recommend!

The location is fantastic. Right on the water. There is lots of room for people. Note: there is only one bathroom. Very clean and well supplied with cooking equipment. Beds were very comfortable. Sunset view is unmatched. Lots of room for parking. Close to town yet private.

The location is what makes this property great! The only drawback was the smell of the old carpet and some of the blinds were broken and windows were difficult to open and close. If the house had new flooring it would make a world of difference. I don’t mind the look of the old carpet and paneling, it reminds me of grandma’s house in 1976, but the smell was unpleasant. The house is obviously old and has been through some renovations through the years which adds character. Views were wonderful, kitchen well equipped and communication was great. The one bathroom wasn’t too bad with 10 people. The loft area is nice for kids, but probably tight for adults. Overall we loved our vacation.

We do want to reassure future guests that the carpet is regularly cleaned and professionally shampooed as part of our ongoing maintenance. While the carpeting is older, we take cleanliness very seriously. We appreciate you bringing the odor to our attention, and we will continue to monitor it and determine whether additional cleaning or future flooring updates are needed. We also appreciate the feedback regarding the blinds and windows. This is an older home with plenty of character, and we continually work on repairs and improvements while trying to keep the property affordable for larger families and groups. Thank you again for staying with us. We’re happy that, overall, your family had a great vacation and enjoyed everything the location has to offer!

We had a good stay and great communication with the owners who were very responsive when there were some issues related to the 45 MPH winds and rain we encountered during our time there. Fantastic location right on the shore of Lake Superior.

What a great hideaway! Close to Houghton, close to calumet & a great base camp for Kewaunaw Peninsula! The home was very spacious and the living room with 4 couches was great! The upstairs was great with 3 bedrooms and, through a door - an attic area with more beds! Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

The view of Lake Superior was unmatched. From the primary bedroom facing the lake, you can watch the waves crash as you wake up. The location was convenient for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. Less than 20 minutes away from Houghton and Hancock.Added bonuses are a washer and dryer available and very few checkout requirements.

Fabulous sunsets

Huge kitchen and dining space...almost sorry there were only 2 of us. Lots of room to hang out for TV watchers. I preferred the deck overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunset just out the back door.

Very nice

Lovely home in an amazing location along Lake Superior. Beautiful to look at, rock hunt, nature everywhere. House has everything that you need and very comfortable furniture and beds. Kids never looked at their electronics or tv! Lots to do nearby. This place is a gem.

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay at Artistry. The view of Lake Superior from the deck and master bedroom is outstanding. Even better was seeing the Northern Lights from the deck one night! The location worked well for us, close to Calumet and hiking trails. We hiked 3 different trails that were all just a short drive away. The house was well stocked with bedding, towels and toiletries. The kitchen was well stocked too. We never needed to contact the owners, but they gave me their contact information in case I need them. We will definitely stay again!
