Great walking trails plenty of room

Very nice property with lots of room. Beds were very comfortable. Walking trails amazing. Kitchen well stocked. No TV—we didn’t care but others might. Some of furniture a bit worn/uncomfortable seating in living room. Quiet location.

Wonderful stay. There were no TV. So a few TV watching had to adjust. Plenty of room for everyone. Downstairs was an apartment style accommodation Very serene and peaceful. Took several walks around the lake. Would definitely recommend

Suited our family well

Nice quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was very comfortable. The access to the walking path from the back yard was nice. There aren't any TVs which fits the theme. Overall positive experience.

Wonderful stay!

Such a spacious and lovely home for our family of 9! It was wonderfully located in Durham that we were close to the airport (15 minutes) and to many restaurants and breweries. We enjoyed the downstairs very much in that it had a pool table and large area to play games and relax as well as an extra kitchen area. The beds were very comfortable. The home was on a lake and it had a lovely outdoor walking/jogging path right from the backyard. The sauna was an extra bonus and enjoyed by all!!

Family stay

This home worked well for our extended family of 4 households and 3 generations. Sound is well isolated between levels. The lower level is like it’s own apartment so provided a good place for one family. The upper level is one large bedroom area, also accommodating one family, however does not have it’s own bathroom. The main living area provided ample space for cooking, eating, and relaxing. The screened in porch was especially useful. The yard is nice, however lacks grass (it didn’t matter much with the hot weather). The kids especially enjoyed the pool table in the lower level and ping-pong table in the garage. The community pool is approximately ½ mile walk along the lake. It provided good family time; the water was warm, and it wasn’t busy. We did put away several breakable items (mostly tea sets) and a few other not kid friendly items. The hosts were excellent to work with, including addressing a maintenance concern.

Ting left China at the age of 20. After 10 years of studying in Holland, and 10 years of postdoc and work experience in the US, she started a journey of diving into “the internal” world, and experimenting with daily life leveraging her scientific insights and tools.

Then, she met Adam, and life happened: she got trapped in a blackhole on this planet called the “Pai Hole”, and decided to get a piece of “Pai”, and started building “Pairadise”, a habit hacking sanctuary to playfully upgrade everyday habits in Northern Thailand near Chiangmai. And she loves her Durham home so much that she decides to keep it and share with loving and respectful strangers for now.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I cannot easily find another community where I could have so much nature, yet such convenient access to everything of life. Most uniquely, most lakefront homes don't have a long paved walking trail around the lake with direct access from the backyard like ours. I am still in disbelief how magical the lake view is and how it changes over the day, and how lucky I am to have this home in one of the most safe and loving communities.
