Very peaceful and located right on the point of a small private lake. Fishing is from the shoreline only around the cabin. Catch and release. No pets and no smoking. Completely remodeled. Full kitchen 2 full baths and laundry. Outside fire pit and a Propane barbecue grill. Very spacious deck to enjoy all the views from. Smart TVs in every bedroom and living room with high-speed Internet, perfect for streaming movies or games and working remotely from the cabin.

Perfect retreat

Our stay was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of room for 6 adults, beautiful views on all sides, very clean and updated. We will certainly stay here again.

The cabin was perfect for our extended family that was in town for a business trip. Definitely wish we would have had more time to enjoy fishing right off the deck, but really enjoyed morning coffee right on the pond. Will definitely be back if we come back again.

It’s in a beautiful setting. There is a tree-lined lake 3/4 way around it and a deck in the back and on one side. So relaxing! The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. I highly recommend it! We hope to come back next year.

The "Cozy Cabin" was perfect for our vacation. We desperately needed a place to relax and refresh. This place worked perfect for us. Enjoyed fishing off the wraparound deck. The communication with the host was great. I highly recommend it.

Amazing place to stay in southern Illinois

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything about the cottage is perfect, and the hosts put a lot of attention into making sure everything is there and ready for you. We really enjoyed overlooking the pond and seeing all the geese. Very quiet and peaceful area. Owner was very communicative, and helpful.

Cozy Cabin

We came into town for family. We enjoyed our stay with the best Vrbo we have ever stayed at. Waking up to the lake was awesome. We even got to see a bald eagle land on the lake.

Perfect Place

This was our second time staying at the Cozy Cabin and it was wonderful once again. Roomy and lovely with everything we needed. And the perfect location and view! We will be back again.

Great Place! Exactly right for our needs! The bigger kids enjoyed fishing and the little ones loved watching the turtles play and seeing a heron and hearing the bullfrogs! Although we bought fishing poles for those we knew would fish, we were sure happy to find more povided, since everyone decided to give it a try! Everyone was catching- Even our 4 y old grandaughter caught a nice blue gill, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The house was beautifully clean and nicely stocked! We made family fun use of the checkers and dominoes after a long day at the water park , and followed it with cocoa and s'mores at the fire box as the evenings were cool during our stay! The kids brought all their electronics, ipads and Playstations, but they weren't even put to use because they found so much to entertain themselves!

This place was amazing! Absolutely beautiful, inside and out. It was close enough to town if we needed anything but far enough out of town to enjoy the nature and setting. Amazing wrap around porch, with many sitting options outside, a fire pit, fishing, and a cozy cabin it was but very spacious. I will definitely be renting this place again and bringing our 3 kids! It definitely has room to easily sleep 8, and still have a couch and chairs to watch tv if needed. 5 beds, two twins, 2 queens I believe and a king! Has WiFi, and everything you need to stay for a weekend. Bring your own food and bam! Perfect place! It was about a 40 minute drive to downtown St. Louis for our back to back cardinals games we went to. It was also quiet!! Communication with the owners was easy and quick! I honestly can’t say anything bad at all! And the price was affordable for what we got it for, and an even better rate if we brought more people. We wanted a quiet get away with another couple. And we got just that!
