Classic Michigan cottage just a 5 min walk from downtown Charlevoix!

Our newly renovated cottage is in the quaint town of Charlevoix, just a short 5-minute walk to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and a gorgeous harbor. Our home accommodates 7 people comfortably (3 queens, 1 twin) including a main floor primary with en suite bath; the other 3 bedrooms and full bath are upstairs. The spacious kitchen has been fully updated with all new appliances, a big island, and a wine fridge; large mud room with new washer and dryer. The sunny dining room is perfect for family meals or game night. Relax on the deck out back, where there's a gas grill and fire pit surrounded by adirondack chairs. High-speed internet and a smart TV for when you want to be connected. Two cruiser bikes included...ride to nearby beaches or to the farmer's market in town. And, of course, don't miss the Charlevoix sunsets! Please note, like many Michigan cottages, our home does not have air conditioning. Summer 2026 dates will be released in January 2026.

Comfortable and very convenient. Location was great, easy to walk downtown and to the beach and piers -- assuming you have normal levels of mobility. At the same time the neighborhood was quiet with interesting architecture. Also, close to the more suburban grocery store. The upstairs has AC, a single window unit. The downstairs does not have any AC.

You're correct, the house description indicates that there is "no air conditioning"; however we did add the upstairs window unit for the rare times when northern Michigan gets a hot spell (as you had). A great place for family vacation!

The cottage is comfortable, centrally located, and has a large yard that is great for kids to run around in. The house was well equipped — The host had thought of everything! We loved the remodeled kitchen and downstairs bath. It was easy to get to the beach and to downtown Charlevoix. You will enjoy staying here!

The house was well-equipped with plenty of dishes, pots & pans, and more in the kitchen. There were extra towels and sheets and wonderful beach towels. We also appreciated the many fans positioned throughout the house since the weather was quite hot throughout most of our stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers. In general this was an excellent home base for a family vacation.

Great stay

We stayed with our family for 9 nights in this adorable cottage in great walk to town and nearby beach location. Highly recommend! Owner was great to communicate with and helped us extend our stay when our plans changed. The home has everything you would need for a long stay and a very well stocked kitchen to make cooking easy. Home is larger than it looks in the photos and has a nice deck for grilling and dining outside and we also enjoyed the fire pit.

Beautifully Appointed, Spacious Cottage

We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely coastal cottage. The location is ideally situated for strolling downtown Charlevoix, crossing over to Lake Michigan and the Mushroom Houses, or heading to Castle Farms and Hungry Duck Farm. The host was responsive and hospitable before and during our stay and has equipped the kitchen and bedrooms with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend!

The most charming house in a great location. It was perfect for our family of 6. You can tell that the owners have made some thoughtful updates, and the house was very welcoming.

We are from St. Louis, but I have spent my entire life visiting Charlevoix in the summer. Now our whole family considers it their happy place and we visit throughout the year! We bought this fixer upper in early 2022 and have made it a cozy and cute family getaway. As we near empty nesting, we hope to spend more time in Charlevoix. In the meantime, we enjoy sharing our home with others so they can experience Charlevoix the Beautiful too!

The neighborhood is very convenient to everything...just a short 5 minute walk to town, beaches, restaurants, and shops. And our neighbors are wonderful too. Walk, bike, or drive to everything in a few minutes!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Ours is a family home with special touches to make it comfortable, charming, and welcoming for all ages. It looks tiny from the front but is quite spacious. It was totally renovated in 2022-23, so the kitchen has all new appliances, both bathrooms are new, the beds are comfy, and we've tried to provide lots of amenities, cooking/serving equipment, games and puzzles, and the tech you need if you aren't ready to totally disconnect (WiFi and a smart TV). Relaxing on the back deck or around the fire pit is highly recommended!
