The unit was extremely clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We were able to take our 2 small dogs which was a plus. Great location in the middle of Charlevoix.

I really liked the place. I would recommend it. Minor issue with cleanliness of two chair but Joan came with cleaner and took care of it. Great location on the bay.

A hidden gem! Great location and view, very spacious (except for the bathroom). Whenever in Charlevoix, this is where we will stay. And as a bonus, when relaxing watching TV, they have a complete cable subscription!

We have stayed in these accommodations multiple times when we visit Charlevoix. They are very comfortable and the downtown Charlevoix location cannot be beat. Would highly recommend. The owner of the property, Joan Funk, is very attentive to questions or concerns. We will certainly stay there again.

Great location and dog friendly

This is probably our 4th time staying at Marina Suite. We love the location and the fact that it is dog friendly. I would give our stay a 5 if it weren't for the infestation of fruit flies. Joan responded very quickly with fruit fly traps, but we still had to deal with them for our entire stay.

Marina Suite is an ideal choice for weekend or extended stay. We have leased it.for several years and enjoy the accommodations and location immense! Dog friendly and people friendly! We’ll be back!

Amazing stay

Wonderful property with an even better location! Plenty of room for my family of 4 which includes 2 toddlers. Loved the view of the marina. Will be back for many years to come!

Great location - Park is wonderful.

My wife and I and our dog Roxy loved the Marina suite. We spent many hours in the park which is right next to unit. We enjoyed the great views of all the action on Round lake and the marina from the patio. We also got take out a couple times and ate on the patio. The unit was nice and spacious and comfortable. Had a small issue with code to get in , but was handled quickly. The host Joan was available and helpful — top notch host ! Had a great week people watching, shopping and walking around town. This was the perfect spot for us. Reserved Parking spot was needed on weekend, it is a short walk across street.

An excellent rental

Location was prime, space was well appointed. Units above us were relatively quiet. Parking was about a block away, which was fine, but not clear/correct in the listing on VRBO.

Beware

For Large cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless. Dust on top of everything in kitchen and several spiders. The loud, crinkly bed mat was a bit much. Sits next door to a restaurant so it was loud with workers taking smoke breaks and being completely unsanitary spitting everywhere. You can also expect the banging of empty beer kegs late at night and early in the morning.

Home Away From Home...

We have spent several summer vacations staying in the Marina Suite. It feels like home away from home to my husband & I, as well as our standard poodle. The downtown location simply can't be beat. Shopping, beaches, restaurants, concerts in the park, glorious sunsets are all within walking distance. We highly recommend - and will certainly be back next summer!

A few years ago, I visited some friends who have a vacation home in Charlevoix, Michigan. I fell in love with the town and it's people. It was August and I was coming from the hot, humid, south which might have had something to do with it.

However, i've also been to Charlevoix in the middle of winter and still love it!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The view is terrific!

I've always wanted to live some place where I could walk to the restaurants, bars, beach, library, shops and movie theater. This is the place!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Other than the bedroom and bathroom, the suite is a large open inviting space. In time for the 2016 Season, I'll have replaced the leather sectional with a comfy sleeper sofa and two leather recliners. Its great to be able to set at the patio table and see the marina.
