We had an excellent stay at One Palm Hill! Everything was as advertised and just a short drive to Twin Cove Beach. Beautiful view from the front porch looking out to the ocean. I highly recommend booking at One Palm Hill if you’re looking for a vacation rental in the Governors Harbour area.

Lovely stay at One Palm Hill

Beautiful house near a beautiful beach! Great location not far from Governor’s Harbour! Pleasantly surprised by the calming view of the ocean from the living room. We walked the beach road everyday and explored other beaches. Harbour island for the day and Queen’s bath. Dancing at the fish fry! Music night at Tippy’s and the Buccaneer! The house was perfect and Misty was so helpful! Perfect weather was great too:)

A gem!

One Palm Hill is an absolute gem! The house itself is very nice and welcoming. The layout is perfect with 3 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms and the kitchen is very well equipped. What makes this house standout though is all of the outside areas that can be enjoyed including the pool with 8 high end loungers, outdoor dining, and loungers in front of the house to take in the spectacular ocean view. We will stay here again!

Beautiful property, perfect location!

My husband and I had an incredible stay at One Palm Hill. The property is beautiful, very private, and well appointed. We cooked dinner each night at the home and the kitchen had everything possible that we needed. One Palm Hill is perfectly located on the island, minutes from Governors Harbor, but in a quiet and private neighborhood. It felt like a home away from home and we would highly recommend to anyone! Booking was easy and communication with property manager and Misty, who met us on the first day, was flawless. Hope to come back again in the future!!

Perfect House

We recently stayed at One Palm Hill for a family vacation with our teenage daughters and their friends. To say the house was the perfect fit for 6 people is an understatement. The check-in process was ultra smooth, and imagine our surprise to find the house very well stocked with everything from towels to snorkel gear and pool floats. Even the kitchen had every sort of plate, pot, gadget, etc that we could ever use. And the house was very, very clean. The location was also perfect for us to explore the entire island. We visited so many of the beaches in both the north and south parts of the island. However, our favorite beach was the one you can walk to from the house - Twin Bay Beach. The house has plenty of chairs, coolers, and umbrellas for you to load in your car to take a picnic with you. When you return in the afternoons, the pool is a perfect place to finish up the day. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at One Palm Hill and plan on returning. Overall, it was probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in.

Wonderful Week in Eleuthera and One Palm Hill

Having stayed in vacation rental properties from Kauai to Maui to Exuma-One Palm Hill is by far the best vacation rental property we have stayed in. The property (home and outdoor spaces) was very clean and very well maintained. The layout is perfect for family/ group socializing around the big kitchen island and in the open living/dining area. The kitchen was the very well-appointed with high quality cooking/ serving items and LOTS of spices-so no need to pack your own. The three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, separate AC units, and ceiling fans and were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The most enjoyable area of the home are the outdoor spaces (see video) with the lovely pool and lush landscaped yards. It feels like a private oasis. Located centrally on the LONG island of Eleuthera and a quick 5-minute drive to Governors Harbour and many of the best restaurants on the island (Tippy's, 1648, Buccaneer Club, Bacchus), grocery, liquor stores, gas, and ATMs. It is also a great location for a morning walk to Twin Cove Beach and French Leave Beach- two of the prettiest on the island. Lastly, Kelly, Misty and Justin were so helpful in providing information and updates to make the reserving, stay, and check in process seamless. When (not if) we return to Eleuthera, we will return to One Palm Hill.

Nice house in central Eleuthera

Short car ride away from the Governors Harbour airport, grocery, gas and restaurants. This is our favorite area of Eleuthera as it’s very convenient. The house is very pretty and has plenty of linens, cooking utensils and basics such as shampoo, conditioner, laundry and dish soap. Having 3 bathrooms made it so convenient and comfortable. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The landscape and pool area are very nice as is the view. A few things we wished would have been better are the dusty curtains. Upon entering we were all sneezing and took allergy meds. The two bedrooms facing the driveway were specially dusty as the curtains are thin. The rental provides 5 gallon filtered water that you can easily replenish at the local stores and also coffee and a drawer full of spices. Bring your sugar for coffee. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property, hopefully the curtains get cleaned more often.

SURPRISE

It's been a tough decision to make as to whether we should write a review But we decided that future renters should be made aware First off the house itself was immaculate!!!! A/C was great kitchen had everything you needed The linens and towels were high quality But then came night fall According to the house manager the nocturnal noises are frogs on the property I've NEVER heard frogs make noises like this If you've ever heard an animal being attacked it's the sound these frogs made Ten seconds long every minute from sundown to sunup We had to abandon the master bedroom and use bedroom furthest from But even then u could hear them There are these two foot tall birds that like like to hang around pool area Pretty cool in the beginning but by end of stay POOL area is covered in bird droppings!!!! Could not use pool our finally day because we saw bird relieve itself in pool For the price of our stay 11days not worth the money

We have been renting this house for many years and we have 30 reviews on this webiste. As you can see, no one has EVER complained about frog sounds or birds around the pool. True, the Bahamas has frogs and birds, and you may encounter them wherever you stay. But no one has ever suggested that they are a problem.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need from nice cookware to a full selection of glasses, serving platters, utensils, even spices. They have plenty of beach and pool towels, chairs, snorkeling equipment, coolers...anything you need for the beach. Carol, the house manager, was outstanding. She communicated well before, during and upon our departure. She helped us with our concierge, Sonja, who did a preliminary grocery run for us, a boat captain and helped us with reservations at Tippy's. We swam in the pool everyday. It was such a nice bonus to have. I also didn't realize you could see the Atlantic from the house, so it was nice to look out and see it everyday. The road to the closest beach, Twin Coves, is a bit rocky, but once you got there, it was incredible-so private!Also, Tara with Eleuthera Vacations, was very helpful with covid requirements before and after we left!We highly recommend One Palm Hill and hope to come back one day soon! The 3 bed/3 bath layout easily accommodated our several guests.The home is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well furnished and equipped. The kitchen has everything that you would need to prepare a complete meal and the beds and linens provide for a peaceful night's rest. The living room has slip covered and comfortable pieces which provide for indoor relaxation.Cross breezes when the house is opened are a perfect alternative to the air conditioning units which functioned flawlessly throughout the home.Importantly, the generator at One Palm Hill never missed a beat supplying power to the whole house during the numerous and often extended power outages we experienced. The house also has beach supplies which include comfortable beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, coolers and cool packs.Outside the pool area is private and spacious, allowing for both sunny and shady spots to relax with a beverage. Other outside seating areas provide options to accommodate varying wind and sun conditions. A clean propane gas grill made barbecuing fresh fish and lobster a regular dinner alternative to dining out. Twin Coves Beach is any easy 8 minute walk and Hut Point Beach is about a 10 minute walk. French Leave and other great Banks Road beaches are all a quiet 10 to 15 minute drive up the road with easy parking access. Restaurants, shops, and gas stations are also 5 minutes drive from the house down the road in Governors Harbor.As great as the home is, the owner and management team were even better. Communication was timely and accurate. The owner, Kelly, clearly cares about the experience of her guests, and the manager of the property, Misty, and her team provided regular oversight to keep the home in top condition. Séjour parfait

Nous avons séjourné 12 jours dans cette maison et avons adoré. L'emplacement est idéal, proche de Governor's Harbour et des plus belles plages de l'île (il faut bien sûr une voiture, comme pour la plupart des locations). L'extérieur est parfait pour se prélasser au bord de la piscine et pour prendre les repas à l'ombre et au calme. Le mobilier est en excellent état. A l'intérieur, rien ne manque. La cuisine est très bien équipée, tout est en bon état et fonctionnel. La literie est confortable. La climatisation dans toutes les pièces est très appréciable, tout comme le générateur qui prend le relais lorsqu'une panne de courant survient (ce qui est assez fréquent à Eleuthera). Sièges, parasols et accessoires de plage en quantité suffisante et en bon état. Tout était très propre et décoré avec goût. Attention au carrelage qui devient extrèmement glissant lorsq'on a les pieds mouillés ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Misty qui reste disponible et discrète pendant tout le séjour. C'était notre 3ème séjour à Eleuthera et sûrement la meilleure maison que nous avons louée jusqu'à présent. Nous reviendrons très probablement !

Our second wonderful stay at One Palm Hill and everything was perfect. Ideal location close to Governor’s Harbour. We had fun at the Fish fry and hitting all of Tippy’s music nights! We travelled to Harbour Island but mostly stayed close to home visiting secret beaches. We love the beach access road for morning walks and then a nice swim in the pool. I dream of the calming view of the ocean from the living room. Ideal house for 3 couples. We travelled with our daughters and partners. Hope to be back!

The homeowner also reached out to us prior to our arrival and was available if we needed anything. Also, Misty, the caretaker of the home was also wonderful!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!

A group of 5 long-time friends who vacation together yearly and have a lot of VRBO homes to compare!! This is by far the most amazing, beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked home we've ever started in!!!! The pool and outdoor spaces are wonderful and we couldn't think of anything that could have been done differently. Both Atlantic and Caribbean beaches are short drives as well as Governor's Harbour which has anything you could need our want. We already want to go back!!!
