A Perfect Fantasy Escape. The 650 sq ft Cottage is beautifully secluded on 10 acres with a private pond. Sit in the hot tub and watch the waterfall cascade into a rock pool and flow into a beautiful 15,000 sq/ft lined swimming pond. The expansive porch and deck are perfect for catching the sun; dining under the stars; hanging out with friends; reading your favorite book...you name it and it will be as good as anything you've imagined. The beach has a zero depth entry for lounging or playing in the water. Inside this gem you will find everything you need for a delightful stay: From the leather lounge and viking bed you can watch the fireplace or the large flat screen TV to the rainfall shower with natural stone and tile. Only a two minute walk from the scenic Shenandoah River. Skyline Drive, hiking and biking trails, 100 holes of golf, shopping, restaurants only 10-20 minutes away!

This was an amazing stay! My wife and I loved the quaint property. The drive to the cottage was not ideal going through some rough looking areas, but the cottage itself is very well kept and beautiful. It was very private and everything was exactly as we would have expected. I highly recommend it!

Super cute place to stay! It’s a bit of a drive down a road that during winter/rainy months would be hairy…just an fyi! Also…bring your own food. There isn’t much as far as food/shopping nearby. The house is clean and perfect for a weekend away

Peaceful cozy cottage

Cute cottage with great view of small pond and tons of wildlife (turtles, birds, raccoon, deer, etc.). Loved having choice between wood fire pit and 2 gas fire places. Water pressure was amazing! Kitchen was tiny but well equipped.

What a beautiful secret bungalow! The lush greenery and rock waterfall truly reminded us of Hawaii. Bring some groceries and a few bottles of wine - you won’t want to leave!

Peaceful & Private

Given how hectic life can be, it's nice to find a place like this that is so peaceful and private. House was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Communication with Owner ahead of our visit was prompt and thorough. We loved the pond, waterfall and being close to the river. We paddled with kayaks on the river and went hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park. Overall, an excellent place to stay!

Wonderful retreat

This cottage is a wonderful retreat, but what I really appreciated was that everything was so well thought out. The design of the house, property, and amnenities made the entire stay easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. Can't wait to come back. I wish more properties were like this one.

Sweet Little Cottage

My husband and I had a relaxing weekend away at this lovely little cottage. Everything was clean, just as described, and well stocked. We loved taking strolls around the property and didn't leave the whole weekend. Would love to go back in the warmer weather.

Perfect Getaway

Enjoyed a very relaxing romantic getaway. Had breakfast on the porch while a family of deer visited the pond. Read a good book listening to the sounds of the waterfall. Drinks in the hot tub under the stars!! Doesn’t get much better than that!!

Relaxing Fall Getaway

Wonderful property! The Pond Cottage was a relaxing getaway with everything we could have asked for. Close to SkyLine Drive. We hiked in the mornings and returned to the cottage in the afternoon . Enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and even kayaked around the pond. It was the perfect spot for our family. Would definitely return.

Absolutely Perfect

We could not have asked for more. The property was exactly as described, and wonderfully relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub, the pond, the deck, the waterfall -- all of it. We even picked wineberries on the property. And on the day it rained, the proximity of the cottage to local wineries was ideal. The hosts were so communicative, and everything was clean, in working order, and really thoughtful. We are really looking forward to returning! Thank you so much!

Lovely, private getaway - 2nd visit

Just got back from our second visit to the Pond Cottage, and can't wait to go back! The cottage is a perfect place to let go, and it is so thoughtfully appointed. The owners go above and beyond based on other rentals I've stayed in where I had to bring my own sheets, towels, TP, etc. Everything is ready to go at Pond Cottage, just bring the clothes on your back, toiletries, food and drink. The property is serene and gorgeous, and we love watching the wild life around us. Thank you for another beautiful weekend, and we'll see you soon!

We love the Pond Cottage

Just a 2-hour drive for us from Annapolis, this has been a repeat Fall getaway place for us for 3 years now (and we hope to come back again next year). For a tiny house, it has everything you need. And to wake up in the morning and just sit with a cup of coffee overlooking the pond is super peaceful. And is close to downtown Front Royal, breweries, wineries, Skyline Dr, hiking, etc. The owners are super communicative and helpful. The cottage was clean and well-kept. Each year we enjoy seeing what else they have added or upgraded. Hope to be back next year.

Private Perfect Cabin!

The location and privacy were the primary reasons why we chose this cabin. It’s located on a beautiful piece of land, near a river. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable. We even had a Christmas tree that was lit up to welcome us! We felt comfortable with letting our dogs explore, knowing that the property was large and secluded enough as to not disturb anyone. Our group included myself, my spouse, and our 2 teens. The WiFi was secure and fast, which was a must for our teens. The cabin was clean and tidy, with plenty of towels and extra bedding. Another plus: plenty of pillows! The kitchen was well-equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and Keurig cups. Washer and dryer are in the cabin. A couple of kayaks are available for use and we had fun with them on the private pond. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked clean and was ready for use. There is a firepit and wood was available. Everything we needed was ready and available! The host, Grace, was responsive and so friendly and gracious. This was a perfect getaway to end 2024 and begin the new year. We will definitely plan another trip soon to this cabin. Can’t recommend it enough!

Tranquility

A beautiful spot, senic, peaceful, and quite. The back roads on the way there after the main road ends definitely required 4 wheel drive but the drive was totally worth it. The hot tub is perfection and the sitting spot at the top of the hill has an amazing view of the property.

Cottage Get Away

This cottage was everything we needed for a weekend get away. From the initial booking and check-in process to departure, Grace made the entire process and experience easy. The cottage itself was very clean, peaceful, and relaxing. The openness of the land made it safe and fun for our dogs to roam. It's proximity to various lakes, hiking trails, and local wineries made our entire stay a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back in the future and look forward to staying at another one of Grace's properties!
