Home from home near Port Charlotte

Lovely spacious house with beautiful pool and outside area. The bedrooms are well appointed and everything we needed was available. Full kitchen was useful as we ate there a few times. Location is good, and is only a few minutes drive to some lovely beaches and some good restaurants! Recommended.

Perfect stay!

Our family had a wonderful 11 day stay at Seamist. This is our third time staying at the villa, the location is brilliant for the beaches, restaurants and airboat tours. We also used it as a base to drive up to Orlando for a couple of days. The house had everything we needed, was clean, comfortable and the pool fantastic. WiFi was great and supported all our devises at once. Love the canal out the back and enjoyed watching the wildlife, we saw rabbits, lizards, snakes, fish and many birds. Couldn’t have asked for better weather either. Thank you so much!

A little slice of paradise

Everything about this place was incredible! Lesley was readily available for any questions I had so kind to me when I discovered one of my kids had accidentally taken a towel home. The home is perfectly as described with virtually no neighbors or noise. We will definitely be back!

It was a pleasure working with you Lesley. We enjoyed our stay but the living room furniture and cookware are badly in need of an upgrade. When you sit down you sink halfway to the floor and the pots and pans have little or no Teflon left on them. Tx Jim Doetsch

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this place. It profits from the location with partly untouched nature around - the view just across the canal is breathtaking. A little alligator and bobcats as well as many birds can be watched right from the pool area. The only thing bothering can be the noise from the road 776, but this depends on the wind direction and the time during the year/day. There is enough space in the house for 2 parties to stay at the same time. Neighbourhood is friendly and safe. It was impressive to see how much work has been done to clean up after the 2 hurricanes. Thank you all for your efforts!

Winter getaway

Stayed here for 33 nights to get away from the snow & cold in Detroit. Lesley is very easy to work with. The house is pretty much as advertised. It’s very private and when you’re sitting out by the pool it’s like you’re looking at a picture post card. Be advised though that the houses proximity to the highway means that when you’re sitting outside there’s a near constant drone of traffic. The living room furniture and the cookware need a total upgrade. When you sit down you sink halfway to the floor and the pots and pans have little or no Teflon left. The pool was great.

Secluded paradise

The check in process went seamless, just unlocked the door. The house is bigger then it looks on the pictures, wich was a plesant surprise. It was fairly clean, everything was neat and orgonized. The bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Maybe it would be a good idea to have some basic spices in the cabinet. The pool area is spacious with a great view of the canal and greenery. We loved the fact that there are no houses beside. It was very privat and quiet. The location is great. Grocery store, dollar store, gas station are very close. We drove to Manasota Keys every night to see sunset, it was a short drive. The house located central, so you can drive to Cape Coral, Napels, Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, St. Petersburg, Tampa.... We visited Warm Mineral Springs and it was an awesome experience. It is just 20 min drive from the house. Overall we loved everything about the house and will stay there in the near future.

The property manager was excellent. The house, not so great.

We were disappointed with the overall experience. It was listed as 4.7 stars, but it was not clean. The living room furniture is old, dirty and needs to be replaced. The bed in the master was good, but the others were not. We had problems with the pool and the internet, but these were quickly and generously taken care of by the property manager who was very responsive. The property seems secluded and very private as you can’t see the neighbors when in the back yard. I would rate the house a 3/5, but the property manager a 5/5.

Beautiful home and close to everything

My family and I brought my mom to Florida this year. It was her first time ever being there and she loved it. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It had everything we needed and it was close to everything. The kids loved riding the bikes to get ice cream and we all enjoyed the pool every evening. It was a very peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again...Thanks again for letting us stay in your home!

Wow, we had an amazing vacation at this property! What we loved the most was complete privacy of the location, you can’t see or hear anything but the beautiful bird songs in the backyard! The heated pool was so much fun for kids and adults! You watch exotic birds flying by while enjoying yourself floating on the noodle. The house itself was very spacious for a family of 7 (2 parents and 5 kids ages 8-20), had enough towels, kitchenware for everyone. The host was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. All our questions were answered immediately and I really appreciated a kind and hospitable tone of our conversation. The area is also very convenient and the beach park is truly a tropical island that I dreamed to experience. Now that we are back home it truly feels like we were in a magical dream! Thank you Lesley

Needed a stop over

House was liked it was described. Very clean and roomy. Quite neighborhood. Bikes were a nice bonus for riding around the neighborhood. Near stores and a short drive to the beach. House will work great for a family.

Nice vacation

The house is a little old and needs some updates especially in the kitchen(the cookware was worn-out),also there were cockroaches in the kitchen,but the house was well stocked with towels,beach stuff like umbrella,chairs and toys for the kids,the pool is beautiful,the area is not busy and you can get to the beach literally for 15 minuets.The communication with the management was easy.Overall we had a great time!

The communication with the property manager is probably on top of the list of being the worst thing about this place. She barely responded to any of our questions or requests and only communicated when something needed to be paid. The wifi thats in the house only works with ONE device ONLY. Another words the plan that they installed there is the minimum capacity that supports only one device. As a results the internet was constantly spotty and not reliable. No supply of toilet paper or paper towel or any other cleaning supplies. The beds were almost falling apart, wobbly and making noise. The worst part was that there was no warning about the wild life there. There is a creek in the back of the house that apparently has alligators and other wild creatures like different kinds of snakes. In fact, my mom saw a snake just outside of the house in the driveway and got really scared. Since we had two small children with us it was pretty dangerous to go outside and take walks with the stroller. It was our first time in this part of the state and so it would have beee=n helpful to have some sort of a guidance or just some friendly advice. It is not a cheap stay by a y means and therefore there should be a better way to communicate with the guests and be more attentive to their needs.

Very disappointed to read your comments Most of my guests will say that we are always very helpful, and respond quickly I talked to you several times during your stay and I remember the first thing you said to me on arrival was the house was beautiful. With regards to wildlife, it is stated in the headline for the house - sit by the pool and enjoy Florida wildlife. There are occasional snakes in Florida and majority of them are harmless and are more afraid of you so move fast. Guests love the canal view, and turtles / birds etc. When you had a wifi issue I came to office on a Saturday and to my knowledge resolved that problem then and we talked on the phone. We asked you about pool heat prior to stay and you declined it. Once here you added it on so we sent you payment request. After 2 days it was still not paid so we followed up We do not stock the house for 10 days of toilet paper and paper towels - we give you starter supplies. Check out is clearly marked online here and info book in house is 1030/11 - our cleaner went there and could not get in. You told her you would leave when you were ready and by time you were ready to leave it was after 230p I had to schedule a different person due to that as it was a very busy time. Most people as you can see from prior reviews enjoy their stay. Thank you for your feedback

Amazing trip to Florida!

We travelled to Port Charlotte for our 1 week stay from Ontario Canada with our 3 kids and another family. The home was perfect for both familes with all the must haves that go along with having small children (all one floor, washing machine and most importantly, a heated pool!) It was only a couple min drive to EVERYTHING we needed as well as being in close proximity to several beaches. When in contact with the owner, she was quick responding, courteous, and so helpful! We would not hesitate to return !
