Unfortunately, this was one of the worst vacation rental experiences we have had. Although the home is advertised to accommodate 12 guests, it was not maintained to a standard that justified the price. From the time we arrived, we found numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues, including broken ceiling fans and faucets, missing toilet paper holders, an exposed nail protruding from a stair tread, mold in multiple areas, dirty walls, and floors that had clearly not been cleaned. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. In the middle of a hot, humid Florida summer, the AC either never worked properly or was already failing when we arrived. It eventually stopped working altogether, making the home increasingly uncomfortable. Air conditioning in Florida is a necessity, not a luxury. We contacted the property management company immediately, but very little was done during the first two days. The response was inadequate, there was no timely effort to replace the unit, and the property owner was unresponsive, prolonging the situation. The water heater also could not support even two people showering at the same time, which is unacceptable for a home advertised for 12 guests. To their credit, the property management company ultimately relocated us to another property. However, packing up, moving midweek, and checking into a new rental caused us to lose an entire day of our vacation. This property has significant deferred maintenance and should not be marketed for large groups.
