-The entrance of villa is at street level. There are stairs inside the villa.

-Passport photos will be collected before check-in due to law.

-Cleaning during the stay is available upon request for a fee of 50 euros. Due to requests from some guests for hotel-style cleaning, we have found it necessary to include this information. Please remember that this is not a hotel.

-If you prefer VIP one way airport transportation (80 euros for up to 6 people or 100 euros up to 16 people), please inform me before the day you arrive. Note that only cash USD, EURO or TL payments are accepted.

Car Parking:

-There are free slots in front of the house. But they may be occupied by other residents of neighborhood.

-There is a private car park close to our place that costs 15 euro daily.

House was clean but not nice neighborhood. Bathroom faucet was leaking. The oven did not work. We are staying there for 10 days without any cleaning or changing covers sheets. She responded to message very late. Wifi is very slow . When uber came to pick up to airport, he told us such scary neighborhood. No shampoo or body wash. No sofa or comfortable chair inside the house. leaving room very small and TV is in one bedroom. In generał not too bad but not worth it with the price.

Our main reason to rent this house was for our separated family to spend time together. And that was achieved but far not as comfortable as was expected. There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, but NO living room, none. Only small kitchen and one place to seat is by the dining table (owners did add enough chairs around it per my request). Bedrooms lack furniture, just one big bedroom had a dresser. Some light bulbs were out ( I guess to save money). Cleaning supplies were openly piled on the floor by washing machine in the basement. This house is pretty close to Balat - nice touristy area, but you have get out of slums first because house has been built in the middle of very poor and dirty neighborhood with piled trash on street and in the alley, stray dogs and cats right there...and children being sent to us to beg for money. When I asked to have our trash removed from the house, I was offered to pay 50 euros for cleaning, so we collected 7 bags mainly with empty water bottles in the court yard...and they were never removed while we were there. We didn't get Welcomed as was promised, when we arrived, there was only non English speaking cleaning person who handed me the key silently and walked out. By day 4 we had lots of ants on the first floor, which we dutifully cleaned Only one key was provided for the whole group, which is odd. We've used Turkish bath once I'd not stay there again, but rent 4 rooms in a hotel in better neighborhood for the same amount of money.

In the interconnected neighborhoods of Fener and Balat, you can find numerous historical structures indicating the former presence of Jewish, Greek, Armenian, and Turkish communities. Therefore, each building carries a unique identity. For instance, if you see a three-story, narrow-fronted, bay-windowed, and colorful building, you can be sure that a Jewish family lived there in the past. The name Balat is derived from the Greek word "palation," meaning "palace." During the Byzantine period, it housed Christians from various nations and cultures. In the 15th century, it became a Jewish neighborhood after Sephardic Jews fleeing from Spain were resettled there by Sultan Bayezid II. The settlement of Sephardic Jews in the area also attracted the Jewish community, thus increasing the Jewish population in the region. This historical process has shaped the cultural mosaic of the area and has continued to influence it to this day.
