Lovely flat. Location was amazing, just one block from the Seine. We had everything we needed for our stay. If you want to feel like you are in Paris, this is the place you want to be!Stairs up to the flat were definitely not for the faint of heart!

Such a great place. The building was amazing and the fact that the listing was accurate was helpful. The stairs are very steep and twisty, almost a spiral staircase, but they were awesome. Very historic and beautiful. The view was very good. Such a nice little cozy place. The bed was tucked under a beam in what used to be the attic, but it truly added to the charm. There was a great little bakery right down the street that sereved great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location is amazing in the heart of Paris. Not much room to store belongings (we were 3 adults and 1 child). But otherwise clean and has everything you need.

We needed a small place in a great part of town and we got it. This place is so funky and cute...which worked well for us.The host was helpful and gave accurate information. Check in was easy.

Rooms with a view!

Lovely garret apartment with a view of the Seine! Reminiscent of a boat with its charmingly efficient design, this was the perfect place for our Paris get-away. (Be aware that there are many flights of stairs, so being in good shape is a must.)

NICE STAY

I really liked this place, the location and privacy are very nice. The only observation I would make for the next guests: they should take into consideration that the place is not appropriate for disabled, the main room has a bed that is very close to the ceiling, in summer it is very hot and there is no air conditioning, to take a bath is in a tub, it is not possible to take a bath standing up.

Avoid this place! The air had a toxin in it that made my wife and I sick in the apartment. There was also dried pee all over the bathroom that was not cleaned. The view is great, but my wife and I woke up sick after the first night vomiting and severe headaches. We went outside to the fresh air and it all went away. We contacted the host and she did not believe us and did not give us a refund. 0/10.

Sean has a real problem, he informed me of his problems, I immediately told him to go see a doctor or to the emergency room, he did nothing. I had 2 technicians come to the site a few hours later, no trace of gas (there is no gas in the building), no trace of toxin, no trace of mites or bedbugs!. I am still trying to find out and I ask Sean to send me photos or traces that I can understand and perhaps show to a doctor, Sean never sent me anything, his only response is the request for a refund. There have been 4 travelers before without any problems and especially since October 1st the apartment is rented on VRBO or Airbnb without any problem or feedback. I think Sean suffered from food poisoning or did not like the apartment and is looking for a way to get a refund ;-)

Emily in Paris! This 5th floor walk up apartment is so charming with wood beams, a loft, and large windows. Perfect location to easily walk to city sites, Metro stops, and view of the Seine. Not recommended for anyone tall (6 ft) because the bed and tub (no shower) are tucked under the low, sloped ceiling in the loft. I’m 5’4” and managed ok, but we had to sleep on the pullout couch. The washing machine is very complicated and couldn’t figure it out without instructions. Recommended this to the owner and to provide more than 1 kitchen towel and some paper towels. Overall, a special place to experience Paris if it’s a fit for you.

We found the location, beautiful. However, on arriving, we were not aware of the hundred plus stairs that we needed to climb to get to the fifth floor. Once we got in, the space was small. It had a tiny narrow bathroom downstairs, the bathtub was upstairs in the loft area, that you could not stand to showe, and it only had a hand held shower head. To get to the loft you needed to climb more stairs, the bed was then on the floor. Difficult for 3 mature women to try a maneuver. The electrical within the apartment was not safe, we pulled out our cords and had a socket come out of the wall. The washing machine was extremely difficult, as there were no instructions. We never did figure out how to use the dryer. To make the experience even worse we were then asked to remove the garbage down five flights of stairs, strip the beds and do our dishes. It was somewhat insulting.

Hello Jacqueline, I am sad to read this. The experience is important to us, but I think you are truly being disingenuous in your comment! Everything was informed about the reservation that the apartment is on the 5th floor without an elevator. Moreover, you wrote on September 22 to ask if someone could help you carry your suitcases due to a person who has a foot fracture since the reservation, but unfortunately, it's a self-check-in and no one is on site. I told you again that the apartment was on the 5th floor without an elevator so that you could maybe cancel or request a modification from Vrbo due to your health condition. And now you are leaving a comment as if you were discovering this for the first time!!! It’s quite comical. I wish you the best for your future trips. Best regards.

Lovely visit

The metro, market, cafes/restaurants, and sites were easily accessible (walking) from this apartment. We loved the view of the Seine from the front window. The five flights of stairs meant we strategically planned the amount of luggage to bring (thanks to the other reviews) and our daily outings. A note for any American tourists considering the property: "Washer and dryer" advertised translates to a front-loading washer with a capacity of one-third of what we are used to. There is a drying rack in the closet to dry your clothes, but no traditional "dryer" by our standards. I had incorrectly assumed the unit would wash and dry the clothes when reading the property details. After conducting additional online research, I discovered the error in my assumptions regarding European standards. This did NOT negatively impact our trip in any way. Our clothes either dried during the day while we were sightseeing or overnight while we slept.The apartment was the perfect home base for our four days in Paris before traveling further south in France for the rest of our family holiday.

Cute place, perfect location & very Paris!

Can’t beat the location! Metro, grocery, and great cafe and bakery right out the door. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see, without having to use the metro. It is “cosy.” I think on check-out it was referred to as a “mini-flat” which is more accurate! 101 steps up to apartment no lift, which we knew about so pack light! It’s at the very top, and was nice and quiet. The headroom is low especially upstairs in the loft bedroom. Definitely can’t stand to take a shower and you may hit your head if you sit up too fast when sleeping. No place to put bags so again good to pack light! Stairs to loft steep and narrow. We are used to van camping and are pretty small and agile people so none of these huge negatives for us but could be for some! Very cute, comfy and perfect launching pad for Paris adventures! Just be in shape and flexible! Host was very responsive. We got check-out instructions a little late bc our flight left so early, but everything was easy and seamless as far as check-in/out!
