Recreation options abound with the Ahnapee Trail and lakeshore close by. Door County is a short 15-minute drive, and Green Bay is only 30 minutes away. Charming older home with modern updates and amenities. Fully equiped kitchen. Large bathroom on main floor has a jetted tub and two showerheads. Claw-foot tub in upstairs bathroom is perfect for relaxing soaks. Lovely wrap-around porch with mood lights for evening enjoyment, plus a large yard with fire pit. Our stay at Dana’s place was great! It was in a perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. We loved that we could walk to the bakery and the outside deck was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone looking for something spacious and comfortable.

A beautiful home base in Door County

My family and I loved our stay in this Algoma home. It's very close to all there is to see in the town, and it's location in Door County makes it easy to explore. We hope to stay again on a future trip.

Fishing trip perfect location

We came to Algoma to go fishing. The house location was perfect for that. Charming home big enough for our group and had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable.

House was a very good location to stop at Champion Shrine and the Belgium Roadside Chapels.Algoma is a cute little town on the water!!!

The house was absolutely perfect for our recent trip to Algoma for a family wedding. Even more adorable than the pictures convey! It was immaculate and a great amount of space. Dana was very easy to reach if we needed her but we didn’t because everything was so easy!

Clean, quiet and comfortable

The house is welcoming and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and close to downtown. You can tell the owners want guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. The claw foot tub was so nice to relax in. I appreciated the extras they had in the bathroom(bath bombs, bubble bath)to make our stay extra special. The owners responded promptly to any questions I had. I highly recommend this house for anyone that is staying in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay in Algoma. This home was beautifully updated with modern, but homey touches. We have stayed in VRBO rentals around the country and none have had so many extras (door county taffy/makeup wipes/bath bombs and salts... and more) We will absolutely be coming back!

Summer Escape

The property was as described. The linens were of good quality. Beds were firm which we like. Decor was a little sparse compared to other places we've stayed. Water took longer than normal to heat up. Larger groups would want to have more pots and bowls if they plan on cooking in. Overall a nice place to stay.

Went fishing with my Grandnephew, brother and a friend and the house worked perfect. One bed was a futon type and worked well for a 14 year old boy but would be small for anyone over 5 ft 9 or so. The other beds were great. If we came again we would cook all our meals at the house. Good setup and we found the restaurants in Algoma to be OK but nothing great. Grocery shopping before you get into Algoma would be a good idea.

The house was loaded with just about everything you could need (a second real shower would be awesome, but the soaking tub has a handheld sprayer). Not far from downtown. Enough parking for plenty of cars. Loved having fans in the bedrooms. Some found the king bed super comfortable; others found the twin mattresses felt hard as a rock. But mattress comfort is a matter of opinion and preference. Super-reasonable and easy checkout. We weren't made to take care of stripping beds or taking out garbage, for example. Communicating with the host was perfect!
