Cette charmante demeure victorienne de Pacific Grove rappelle le passé de la baie de Monterey en tant que port de pêche et d'expédition, avec ses touches nautiques vintage et ses artefacts côtiers qui feront que les clients auront l'impression de remonter dans le temps.

Dans le même temps, la maison de 4 chambres et 2 salles de bain a été entièrement rénovée avec des commodités modernes et une cour spacieuse qui est parfaite pour barbecue et divertissant.

Son emplacement est également idéal pour profiter des merveilles de Pacific Grove - il est à quelques pas des boutiques et des restaurants dans le centre-ville pittoresque, ou à 10 minutes à pied de la plage ou des papillons. Il est également à seulement 5 minutes en voiture de l'Aquarium de Monterey Bay et de Cannery Row, à 10 minutes des boutiques de Carmel-by-the-Sea et à 15 minutes du golf et de la gastronomie à Pebble Beach.

Les fenêtres et les puits de lumière dans toute la maison apportent une lumière naturelle chaude et offrent de superbes vues sur la baie de Monterey depuis l'étage supérieur.

La maison de deux étages de 1400 pieds carrés, construite en 1890, a été entièrement rénovée pour le confort des clients, avec un jeu de couleurs nautiques dans les rouges, bleus et tans, meubles vintage, un siège de fenêtre dans la baie vitrée cuisine entièrement équip��e et une cour clôturée pour la vie privée, qui comprend un patio dallé à la main.

Dès votre arrivée, vous serez accueilli avec du vin et du fromage, des tickets pour une dégustation de vin dans la salle de dégustation de Scheid Vineyards au centre-ville de Carmel-by-the-Sea et un panier d'informations locales. Un gestionnaire de maison de vacances concierge assigné est disponible pour vous aider pendant votre séjour. Nous avons également fourni des équipements de spa dans les salles de bains, robes de spa et équipement de plage.

La maison accueillante pour les animaux de compagnie dispose d'une salle avant confortable avec une cheminée à gaz avec des carreaux peints à la main, où les jeux et les livres divertiront les invités le soir autour du feu. Un téléviseur haute définition de 50 pouces est disponible sur la cheminée, et un coin salon adjacent avec chaise longue et console est un autre endroit pour se pelotonner avec un bon livre.

La grande table de salle à manger peut accueillir 8 fauteuils couverts et la cuisine mise à jour comprend des planchers en tuile taupe, des comptoirs en quartz composite, de nouveaux appareils qui comprennent une cuisinière à gaz et un lavabo en porcelaine profonde avec robinet à col de cygne.

La chambre principale du rez-de-chaussée, décorée dans le même thème nautique vintage, contient un lit queen, et la salle de bain à proximité dispose d'une grande douche carrelée dans les couleurs de l'océan ainsi que d'une pomme de douche réglable.

Le deuxième étage comprend trois chambres et une salle de bains, ainsi qu'une aire de jeux pour enfants avec des chaises pouf et une télévision avec lecteur DVD. La salle de bains est pourvue de carrelage vintage et d'un lavabo sur colonne ainsi que d'une baignoire à pattes à l'ancienne à laquelle une pomme de douche réglable a été ajoutée.

L'arrière-cour contient une cuisine extérieure avec gril à gaz gastronomique plombé et comptoir en granit pour la préparation et le service de la nourriture. Vous pourrez profiter des soirées sous les cyprès autour d'un foyer et trouver la sérénité dans le bruit d'une cascade intégrée. Une note concernant la cour: Les invités sont priés de garder des voix à un volume respectueux à tout moment et d'apporter des conversations / activités en plein air avant 21 heures en raison de la proximité des voisins à proximité qui sont sensibles au bruit.

Un garage d'une voiture avec une salle de bonus pour les équipements de plage est également disponible, en plus du stationnement dans la rue.

Wonderful place to relax!

Our family had a wonderful week! We lovesd sitting by the fire on the patio and there was plenty of room for all of us (6 adults, 1 baby, 1 dog)! The kitchen was well stocked so we could cook in, and the proximity to Lighthouse Ave was perfect when we wanted to walk to our meal instead. We'd gladly return for our next stay in Pacific Grove.

Great property near downtown

House was very clean and welcoming with lots of themed decorations. The updated kitchen was nice, and we had plenty of room to sit and dine (party of 5). In keeping with the charm of PG the home is a lovely Heritage House and has retained that charm, even though it's been nicely updated. The side-yard, with firepit and patio was nice at the end of the day. To have a garage to store bikes and surf boards was so important, we didn't realize how great it would be to have that space. Its location couldn't be better. We didn't want to leave. Five stars!

Spacious home close to town

This house is the second vacation rental our family has done with Sanctuary Rentals. They do a fantastic job of providing a welcoming place, with tasteful decorating, soft towels, comfortable bedding, and wine & cheese. They provide top-notch service with excellent communication. This home is spacious, with 3 bedrooms upstairs. There are several options for room setup. The home is very close to the main shopping/restaurant area of Pacific Grove. There is off-street parking, including a garage. Pets welcomed with pet beds and food bowls. Gas fireplace outside and gas fire pit outside.

Great location, Old house

Great location and lots of space in the house. The kitchen has been updated and there are plenty of towels and the sheets are nice and clean. The management company was very easy to work with too. We loved the location and walking to bakeries and restaurants and evening the beach. The layout worked for us too. It is an old house though and the upstairs is pretty worn. The upstairs carpet is not in great condition and the upstairs bath is really falling apart. There’s tiles broken on the floor and trim coming off the wall. There’s also an old house smell to it. It was a good place to stay given we had a dog and 5 people with us, but I’m not sure I would choose it again.

Lovely family stay near the Ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay at Ship's Watch. The kitchen is bright and fresh and the rest of the house is casual. The yard is nice with chairs (but remember to be quiet after 8pm.). You can walk 3 blocks to a bookstore/cafe, 5 to a fantastic bakery, and 8 to the beach.It has a nice queen bedroom on the ground floor with a full bath around the corner. It also has a king bedroom at the top of the stairs which shares a bathroom with 2 cute little rooms--one suitable for a younger child.Sanctuary Rentals is very responsive to any questions or concerns.And the place is dog friendly which is welcome. The garage is a bit small so will only fit a smaller car and you are asked to park the second car in the driveway.

Very “by the sea” themed decor, which was fun for us as visitors. Be advised that there is one neighbor who is VERY sensitive to noise. She went out of her way at noon on a Saturday to come gripe at us for the “noise” our children were making (literally, she was complaining about the laughter of small children). The attic bedroom also smells a bit musty and like dogs or cats - this wouldn’t have been a big deal but we had our children sleeping in that room, and it was unpleasant to live with for a month. We were happy overall with Sanctuary and plan to book with them again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay with Sanctuary Rentals. Our first experience was top notch so when returning to Monterey we only looked at Sanctuary properties. We were hugely disappointed with Ships Watch. It is spacious and roomy but that is where the benefits stop. Upon entering the house we were greeted with a dank smelling home. Our dust allergies immediately flared up as it was evident this home hadn't had a deep clean and in quite some time. Furniture and carpeting were deeply soiled throughout the home. We spilled some water on the kitchen floor and upon wiping it up with a paper towel it was black with dirt. Walking around in socks yielded deeply soiled socks so we just kept our shoes on to avoid this. Woke up to make coffee and the the reservoir for water was caked with grime and actually had hair in it. After 20 mn of cleaning it we attempted to make coffee. All the pans are calphalon but most cooking utensils are metal therefore the non stick coating on most pans was peeling. Both oven pans hadn't been appropriately washed in forever and were barely usable. There were cobwebs visible in most rooms. The lower dishwasher rack could not be moved back and forth so had to be lifted up to load and unload. There are viewss of the ocean but the windows were so dirty we couldn't enjoy them. For the price tag this property was unnacceptabke and we will be hesitant to trust the Sanctuary brand in the future.

Very comfortable stay.

Our group of 6 was very comfortable in this house. It’s an old house with a lot of character in a quiet neighborhood. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Very nice updated kitchen. We loved having coffee in the morning outside by the gas fire pit (much cooler there than we anticipated!). Upper single bed really best for a child, but other 3 bedrooms were good size. Long walk to the ocean but easy drive to everything we wanted to see. Enjoyed our stay!

Great house and location!

We had a great family vacation at Ships Watch! We are two couples and two children under the age of 4--and really enjoyed not only the house itself, but also the central location to all kinds of fun nearby activities--both within walking and driving distance. The top floor area was well-appointed for the kids and the kitchen had everything we needed to make a couple of dinners at the house. We especially enjoyed the firepit out back in the evening. The washer and dryer was a handy addition as well. A little extra seating in the living room would have been ideal, but with so much to do in the area, we spent very little time sitting around watching TV anyway. Great location in the quaint town of Pacific Grove: close to Cannery Row and the Aquarium (quick drive and about a 30 minute walk), a number of nearby restaurants and coffee shops, and perfect jumping off point to all the world-famous golf courses to the south (also check out the more economical Pacific Grove Golf Links just around the corner). Overall we had a fun and memorable stay at Ships Watch and would highly recommend it!
